  1. The Carve company bails are the same as Burton bails.
  2. I've had luck with slow drying JB weld. Blew out 3" of sidewall six years ago patched with jb still working great after 25-30 days, also used on a Coiler taken to the core to seal metal before ptex.
  3. Yes I have Burton Race for $110 or Burton carrier bindings for $80 and a rear 6 degree cant for $15 Loos like shipping would be $40

Is there a big difference in the bindings? My old set up was a Burton Amp with maroon binding exactly like the blue ones. Somebody is selling that setup on here now.

Do you know if the Alp was a notch above the Amp?  I am into carving but looking for an all-mountain board.

      Thanks!

The Race bindings have more metal so they hold up better and are better for heavier people. If you have been using the carriers with no problem they will work. I use a set of the carriers on my rock powder board and I'm  185#.   The Alp was the next step above the AMP. I still use an Alp asym 171 for all-mountain

  4. I'm not sure of the year,  somewhere around 2005ish on the Oxygen

  5. Yes keep turning turnbuckles at some point the rear bail might hit the cross bar that's when you need to move one or the other or both cross bars in. Put your center line of your boots about center of binding and see what side/s need to move in. When adjusted tighten nut to turnbuckle. Measure outside from cross bar to bend both sides to try to keep even. There were more threads one one side of mine
  6. I had to drop to 165 cm from 225's and stay on groomed runs. With 165's I can to go slow enough off trail to pick up that crossed ski and move it back. The only times I get on skis is when my daughter comes to ski once ever other year because (Mom's too slow) Not sure I'd want to pay $175 to putt around on skis unless you want to be a racer chaser, carry coats, and cheer, bring a cow bell. been there Good Luck
  7. Hi you might want to find oldsnowboarder (oldsnowboader.com) maybe he's out of Portland OR. He's on here every now and then and has a facebook page something like big boys boards or something.  He was looking for Rattraps and might trade for a newer set of bindings.  If he doesn't I have a set of Snowpro's   Good Luck  Charlie

  8. Not sure who made them, but not Burton. I have a set I used 25+ years ago they worked well once you get the right tension adjustment. Mine have holes on the bottom plate to adjust for smaller/larger boots. yours with the long threaded back bail might not adjust down as far as you want. But just keep turning adjust nuts until they get short enough or stop, try turning both sides the same number of turns
  9. I tried the mono-ski thing years ago at Alpine Meadows told them it was a mono with feet front/back instead of side by side for better turning. They didn't go for it , but I did get a refund on the ticket.
  10. Hi I have a set if 124's  sz 29  sole 313  I have 28.5 and 29.5 liners. They are in good shape. The 28.5 have a tear across the back above the heal from being pulled out of boot. I was keeping them for loaners but only loaned out 2x in five years,   I'd like $70 plus shipping

  13. SOLD TD2 step-in bindings 3/6 degree cants your choice of 4 hole or 3 hole centers $175 paypal f&f plus shipping
  14. If you have to put lots of pressure to turn try moving your front binding forward a 1/4". Whenever I get on a new to me board I set the bindings to the recommended setting take a few runs, then move the front binding forward 1/4" take a few more runs to see if it turns better/faster, Then move it forward 1/4" to see how it feels when it turns too quick or doesn't feel as good I move it back 1/4" or to where it felt best. Try moving only one thing at a time so you know what made it better/worst
  15. I've been using a set for a couple of years on days when I also ski (2-3) times per year. They are 325's with din soles. I put BTS springs on and they feel the same as my 325's. They are a little softer than my old ski boots but since I don't ski that much it doesn't bother me. The only reason I don't use them more is you can't use stepin heals with them. For some reason there were 20-30 sets of new and used ST2 at our swap this year
  16. Hi I also have a Burton Alp 164 in great shape maybe 10 days on it been stored inside great camber/edges. Was used for a loaner to get people into carving  Had a shallow scratch that was repaired so it has been base ground once. It also has black sharpie lines to mark where  the person wanted bindings. I just pulled it out to use as a rock board this year after blowing the sidewall out of my asym 170 Alp at the end of last year. I'd sell it for $85 plus shipping

  19. One of the best powder weeks in 40 years of ski bumming, 2002 great carving, You got to make it. If you can't bring a powder board I'll have two extra to loan. Oh and he didn't tell you about the tree skiing with no branches for 15-30 feet, best place to learn to ski trees. No matter what the weather brings it's great. See you there. and, About the same time a year later on the crowded slopes of Turner
  20. I was 175# Have been using it as a loaner for the past 4-5 years so only put 5 half days in that time Was setting it up for my early season board this year if it hasn't sold
