  1. Just go with what the day/slope/groom with give you. I run a Coiler nfce &b 67/62 and shed a jacket each year EC turns. But I'm old enough when the snow not soft to slide on I try to stay 6"-2' off and drag a hand.
  2. I'll take the F2's  Whats you paypal

  3. I run 67/62 on my Burton ultra prime rock powder board. you have to roll over and face uphill (toeside) with board pointing a bit downhill so as you push up with arms you can start moving. I call it wallowing. You might have to pack the snow with hands to get a good push when it get deep.
  4. Here's to lots of sunny groomer days Keep positive and keep pushing forward.
  5. Welcome to Boise There are 3-5 carvers here. I'm up about 3-4 times a week. If you just moved you should be able to get a cheaper just moved pass. PM me for more info on Bogus Nice morning groom on low blues to Blacks Charlie
  6. Volkl RT 173GS Sabertooth board with SnowPro Bindings $275 plus shipping Board in great shape, 3/4 nicks on top and some small scratches on base. Edges are sharp and board has lots of camber 1.6cm. tip 24.3 waist 19 tail 23.8 Base has storage wax so can't get good pics in small scratches, but if you need any other pics pm me
  7. You should be fine with what they rent, you could try to find Kalispell rental company's email or airport and ask if they know. Once your in Libby no matter how bad the roads get you should be able to find room in someone's 4WD to get up to and down the mountain. b0ardski drove a 24' motorhome up there last year
  8. Out of the four years I've been going only the first year was a must have 4WD although Corey and other did make it work with 2WD most put on chains have way from Libby. It snowed 6 feet in four days but they kept the road in good shape. The other years there's been one day out of four where 2WD might want to put on chains. Turner runs their groomer to clear the last mile. All rentals will come with snow tires if you get a 2WD ask if it comes with chains. I though snow and ice was how Montana sealed their roads. Crowed afternoon from the first year.
  9. Mine are tight, try switching e-rings to see if it tightens then maybe disks.
  10. With binding off board is there any play between the teeth of the cant and the disk as on might be worn or warped.
  11. Not selling use on my split. Replaced ratchet straps five years ago & always stored inside. I think Ryan could break most new bindings too.
  12. Park City and SLC both have some really good swaps where carving stuff shows up from time to time. A couple years ago the were lots of 1deg ST1 & 2 boots (Storm Trooper 1 & 2)almost new for $50. These are from a Raichle 325 mold with DIN soles. I've found the Raichle's with the wrap liners more comfy than any ski boot. Good place to look I have some Raichle 124 softer hard boots I could loan you at MCC for demos if you're still looking at that time.
  13. If I was going to road trip up I-15 I'd start at Snowbasin (owned by Sun Valley) expensive and can get crowded Fri-Sun or any powder day, good groom, steeps, trees, Nice resort to say you've skied it or you can skip it and take extra days at Lost Trails. Grand Targhee good groom some trees can get very foggy and very crowed on powder days . From there head over to Lost Trails Cheap only open Thur-Sun. Hero low-mid intermediate grooming on the north lift never crowed. I always try to stop there for at least two days coming or going to MCC. You have to stay 25 miles away but worth it. I like it better than Silver or Lookout. Make sure you take at least one day off before the start of of MCC to give your legs a rest for four days at Turner.
  14. You could also try to run a 1-2 degree steeper angle on the rear binding. It takes pressure off the rear edge as you come around so it doesn't push the tail as much.
  15. Looks like POWDER for Monday. Can't tell how much it's still a week away.
  16. The half way get off scares me ( and I'm not scared of the steep) 8' drop on the ramp 8' cat track uphill slope/wall better turn quick. This is a Riblet chair lift fist built for Mt Hood in 1936 this one's not that old. They do like to swing if you move around after you sit down but it stops after the first tower or so. Not sure way everyone's trying to scare the first timers if you can get slide down a blue square at your resort you'll be fine. Go all the way to the top take a left hang right down Cabinet ave to cat track to Mo Z down bring a tool ( or ask someone passing by) to make adjustments on your first run if your not dialed in. This is from someone with a Subaru with studded M&S who found the ditch and blocked the the last mile of the road on a 2 1/2 foot powder day They did find a big truck to pull me out and I'm still coming back
  17. If there's no clinic just look to see who's riding that side and ask to tag along. Find me ( Orange helmet green jacket) and I'll take you over and try to help anyone. only one at my resort so mostly self taught but I didn't think the runs on the north side were that steep. They do made you push your limits.
  18. I have a 174 4WD in great shape some scuffs on top a a few small scratches on base, worst one shown never ground, somewhere around 20-25 days on it $200 plus shipping, F&F paypal
  19. I have a Mark Fawcett training Sim's Burner I broke I can donate if you still need boards.
  20. How tall are you 44 stance seems narrow I'm 5'6" 166cm 29" inseam and have a 49.5cm stance. somewhere in an old thread I read to find your stance use your pant inseam (inseam X 1.7)
  21. I have two Sportubes for $50 each plus shipping or you can pick up at MCC 82" x 10" x 5.5" so it's 208cm long 25.4cm wide you can fit four alpine boards one with bindings with room to put extra bindings on top board.
  22. If as soon as you put any weight on the rear foot you lose it, try moving both binding forward 1/4 inch do a couple runs, move it forward 1/4 in repeat until board turns too much then move bindings back 1/4 in to find sweat spot. I ride with too rear foot weight, so I ride with bindings in front of board center
