  1. how I can get my dog to snowboard with me! I agree with Rob Stevens on the "para" comment, that was actually my first thought, but OMFG that is the laziest thing I've ever seen for an able-bodied person to do! You might as well be on an inner tube!
  2. We should be writing those sweaty womens sex novels....
  3. Zach used his sisters ski boots in the Burton Carrier bindings I started him out on. Looking at the Nideckers they seem very similar to the Burtons. I just ground the heel of the ski boots at a 45* angle for ease of getting in & out, seemed to work fine!
  4. I'll try to send you some pic's tonight, Paul
  5. Here's some pic's of him on with his Burton FP 135 and riding his Renntiger 148cm. He's 11 now and starting his 3 season riding alpine. Smaller gear is out there you just gotta keep an eye out. He rides with F2 Intec's and Raichle 225's.
  6. After several seasons of hording my "Euro-Burner" and my pre-Madd favorite security blanket F2 Silberpfiel, they're both freshly listed in the classifieds for sale. Trust me I never thought either of these boards would leave my quiver except after being pryed from my dead, cold hands, but as they say all things change and so has my position on these 2 boards. The F2 was my first real purchase as a board I'd lusted after and finally bought. The Burner was more the Trophy board, something I'd hunted for over the course of several years and than finally acquired albeit through a rather circuitous route (I bought it on Euro-bay from Germany). After riding them both and loving them individually for various reasons, I decided to give them up due mostly to the fact I think my tastes have changed. I've never been the best rider and can't justify the boards I have most of the time, but I'm trying to commit this season to improving my riding skills and I think to do that I have to narrow my focus and in my opinion, narrow my equipment choices. Some may argue that point, but I feel for me, it's the right decision. Hopefully someone else will pick these two beauties up and get as much enjoyment out of them as I have, so in some small way I'll be passing on the stoke to someone else, wether it's allowing someone to get that "one board" they've been hunting for or help out a new carver by offering up an excellent all-around board they can learn on and grow with for many seasons to come. In the end it's all good, I've had my fun, now let someone else take a turn.
  7. Another victim of the "quiver thinning" is my 168cm Silberpfiel. This board was purchased new by me on Bomber and has the Conshox with F2 Intec bindings. I've ridden it the last 3.5 seasons and it's in excellent shape, still lots of pop and only a minor scratch or two on the top sheet. Base is sweet and has no scratches or gouges, edges are excellent and it's been freshly tuned. I rode it for 3 runs about 2 weeks ago, other than that it's been in the board bag. The Conshox was purchased used and came with a discolored mark on it, but nothing that will affect performance. Can't remember if it was CFJ04 or C5Golfer that I got it from, but it works great and adds the perfect touch to an already awesome board. I don't want to part this set-up out, but if you can get all parties to agree I'll split it up. Price for whole set-up is $550.00, buyer pays actual shipping. Parted out (and it's gotta be simultaneous, don't wanna get caught sitting on parts) is $250 board, $150 bindings, $150 Conshox. Detailed pic's available on request
  8. Up for sale is my Burner 178. Most people here know this thing is my pride and joy, but the quiver is getting too crowded and in a recent round of Rock/Paper/Scissors the Burner lost out to some other heavy hitters in the quiver (see photo). Spec's are as follows and approximate, Nose: 21cm Width: 18cm Tail: 21 SCR: ? Purchased this board brand new from Germany about 2 seasons ago and it has maybe 10 days on it. Small chip in tail (covered up with black nail polish)and small scratches on topsheet between inserts is the only blem on this board. I'd rate it a 9.5 out of a 10 and only because I'm a little AR. I'm looking to get at least $500.00 for it, if I don't it'll stay in the quiver. That price might draw fire from some, but that's what this thing's worth to me, so save the flame-jobs for another thread. I'll try to get some better pic's posted this week. Buyer pays actual cost of shipping from my location. It was just tuned, but hasn't hit the snow this season, so it's ready to ride.

    Leg Pain???

the banana and the stronger legs..... Thor I don't think you'll need to buy bigger pants, just have your current ones altered a little in your nether-regions.... Man, I can just hear the questions in the lift line now...."Hey is that a snowboa....whoa! You must REALLY like what you do!"
  10. was the guy in the lift line that says "Hey, if you like that you should try snowboarding....."
  11. hey baby, you are one fine mama, whadya say we make a trip up to the Ski park together, no strings attached, just a "get to know you" trip.....oh god, I've done it again!!!
  12.     Oh my god, I'm still laughing over that....good one buddy...whew! Hey, drop me a line when you get a chance, I'm considering giving up the bindings that came with it......
  13. I don't know how to tell you this, so I'll just come right out and say it......I'm seeing someone else. Now wait, hold on, before you go all crazy on me, and start screaming and yelling, let me explain.....It all started about 3 weeks ago, I had come home for lunch expecting to grab a quick sandwich and head back to work and suddenly, there, sitting at on the doorstep when I got home was this curvacious, tightly packaged.....well, you get the picture. Anyhow, at first I was reluctant to even look at her, how could she even come close to being as good as you, you with your smooth lines, refined looks and european heritage, and her a small town product of Boston.....yes she was shapely, but she lacked your polish, your flair, but something about her intrigued me, something I couldn't quite put my finger on.....I really hadn't realized until later the impact she'd had on me, she haunted my thoughts at night and distracted me constantly at work during the day, almost driving me Madd.....So, finally, one Sunday morning I picked her up and we decided to go for a little "ride". Oh I played it off as a friendly trip, a "get to know you" sort of thing, no one was doing anything wrong....right? We drove up to the mountains, a beautiful ride, making small talk along the way, listening to music and drinking coffee, each of us avoiding the real subject on both our minds....how would we be together? Well, we ended up at the Ski park, and after being cooped-up in the car for an hour I thought a little fresh air would do us both some good, so we decided to go up for a run or two. At first we kept it to a slow, even pace, each of us seeing what the other was capable of, just "teasing" each other playfully for a few runs....and then, suddenly, as I was making a toeside turn on the 3rd or 4th run.....it happened, like a lightning bolt out of the blue!!! We.....bonded I, I can't explain it...it was like I'd been waiting all my life for this, for that feeling of oneness, two beings coming together, rising, falling, arcing in unison!!!.....I'm sorry, I'm upsetting you....forgive me....Well, we've been back up to the park 3 times now and each time it's just gotten better, further convincing me that as much as I love you and knowing how much this will hurt....you've been replaced! (see photo's below....old girl on the left, new girl on the right! :p )
  14. I wasn't looking at buying one, just found it cool to see another maker of quality boards out there. I think the price might be a little crazy too. If I'm gonna spend that kind of money I'd probably spring for a Tinkler Seb thanks for the riding review though, always nice to hear from people that have actually ridden the product. Who knows, maybe they'll make it state-side for SES???
  15. I was surfin' around Blue-tomato tonight and saw these....anybody heard of the brand? They were pretty pricey ($1000.00 +) SG is the brand name....
  16. This was last season, him with his Burton, and than later in the season when he was riding his Renntiger. He was actually carving a little bit by the end of last year. Hoping to get him to be more agressive this season so I can get some better pic's. He'll be 12 in March....That's my boy!
  17. Here's a pic of my son with his. I later bought one of Klug's 135 FP's, but sold it recently due to him only riding his 148cm Renntiger now (he's 11 now). They're still out there, I saw one of the Rossi's recently, you just have to keep looking....
  18. Great thread Bryan, Ralann and I were riding together today (my first time out this season) and the subject came up. I've had a few disagreements with people here in the past, but it never kept me from coming to this site and listening or posting if I thought it was useful. I too have enjoyed carving with people I would never have met if it weren't for this forum, you being one of them. Hopefully I will be able to met and ride with more people this season, and ride more with those that are regulars on our home hill. We are a community wether we like it or not, so we do have to endure from time to time the range of personalities, opinions, and points of view of those that make this wonderful web site up. Tolerance, courtesy, and graciousness are not always present or used here, but those that truly know what this site is all about can see through the layers of b.s. and gleen what truly matters here, sharing something we are all very passionate about. I recently watched "Step into liquid" again, a movie they've been running on HDTV this last month. For those that haven't seen it, I highly recommend it, even if you don't surf. The message the movie conveys applies to us here on Bomber, it's all about the stoke, sharing it, feeling it, and most importantly keeping it alive. Riding is a gift people, don't take it for granted and try to see the good in all of it. Happy New Year to all of you, may the new year be prosperous and happy for you and your families.
  19. Let me know if he doesn't pick this board up, I'd be interested in it.
  20. I'm diggin' on D-Sub's avatar....
  21. Oh my god Jack, you frickin' slay me dude....whew! That was a good one!!!
