  1. Same here. It is probably easier to sell boxes of various parts than to go thru special orders. Who bought first box?
  2. Ryan, I will exchange 6 degree for 3. Ladia
  3. PayPal returned money to me. After recent demographic survey this looks like another nail in the coffin of North America hard booting. Thanks to Fin and Michelle for all these wonderful SES years. It was rather unique. There were some locals ES but they never catch up. The same for various locals forums. Who remembers Tahoe Carvers? Just hope this forum will survive. Bomber was a glue. As I see it now in a couple years will will be in DIY mode. Inventory of the parts if any exist at all is most likely pretty slim. We will see who will finish with rights to Bomber design, maybe some licensing for parts can be arranged.Just hope.
  4. It is blue sky at BA all day and Kwood look pretty nice on cameras also, so I don't see it. It was pretty wet yesterday, but today all highway are open, it looks like nice weekend maybe windy.
  5. Not this time, going for surgery in two weeks.
  6. Don'take me wrong, I have 160 Angry but the simplest comparison I can come with, Mk exciting , Angry boring ride. I ride Angry lot, only terraing I did not like it is on the steep moguls, (climax at Mammoth)I found front of the board be rather soft for me in these conditions, but I did not have chance to ride MK in the same conditions.
  7. I prefer MK, have Angry, but the best short board I had was old silver Virus Rocket team series when I am looking back. It work for me better even than Hurricane Zylon. Barry you will have righ very steep angles on any of these board with your boot size. I love short fast boards but they are not for everybody.
  8. Two different beats. I had 4 pairs of heads mostly I rode them open or with BTS. I went to UPZ RC8 and could not make them working for me, got softer red tongue , rode open nothing worked for ne. I sold them and got soft UPZ ATB, drove them locked opened and with Drupi spring system with the same results. Also I did not like that huge inside dam the boots has. I had to ride with 3 degree toe lift. 6 put foot I guess flat but it was too much on front for me. Sold them also. I think they are much taller than Heads and this is most likely my problem. I like first year model of heads , blue translucent Pro and regular Heads with plastic buckles and orange tongue. On later production I think they changed plastic to much harder. UPZ had nicest fit with thermoliner. Walk in these on a frozen parking lot was challenging. Very happy with AT boots. To wear boots around hose I found pretty much useless they feel ok and on the snow flex is completely different, for me it always feel much stiffer, maybe because at home I really "work" on the flex. I had it recently with DGSS on Raichle boots, set them up and first thing on the snow was to loose nuts completely and I will go with much softer spring. But it what I like shorter and soft flex. If the boots don't feel good on first day except liners it is difficult to "grow up" into like them later.
  9. About 20 years old board, cheaper version of Dualtech, VAS, Throttle. Boards I was ridding in end of the century. Even on new ones you could feel difference? I think they made this board only for 2 years. After so many years I would expect the board will be dead. $20 like rock board would be Ok I guess.
  10. I had two Head Stratos broken in this way. It was in both cases front boot with TD1. I used step-in on back foot in those times. Lucky I had always second pair in car. AT or ski boots are stronger. What binding do you have?
  11. From these pictures it looks like a typical fatigue crack starting from corner of that machined groove. Spare parts will be problem with Bombers in future.
  12. 2 on the bottom, it looks like QC problem. Send it back.
  13. Virus. Lightning and Interceptor are great boards and Frank can make them wider if you don't like too skinny boards. I had Interceptor wide there is also Interceptor soft. Harder you ride these boards better they behave. I have now two boards based on Lightning in process, actually they waiting for my lazy ass to finish top sheet graphic.
  14. Another reason for AT boots. They have forward lean hard stops inside the shells and walk/ ride mechanism on the back are rather massive to break and let you go.
  15. If I don't have spring system on the boots, I have been ridding unlocked for years on various boots. Head, Raichle, UPZ, Dynafit and Scarpa. Sometimes I feels like something is not right and I found I accidentally locked one boot. Spring systems give you limitation on movement when you are not on groomed runs. On steeps moguls and backcountry in general I like more movement in boots.
  16. With shipping about $130. I had 2 BTS on Head boots. What I think BtS block pivots around upper pin nothing else keep it in place with upper portion of the boots alignment is mostly done by shaft and springs in pretty tight fit inside the block body. If you go with smaller lighter spring you can see the block moves , it starts to rotate around the pin. I made hole in the block into the groove to give the shaft some movement with upper part of the boot. I just did not like that block rotation, there was always something it does not feel right with BTS. You can see springs getting paint scraped off on one side. That's my opinion, but I can be wrong. The block on DGSS is attached by screw to the boot, it is not visible . The screw is under big rotating pin in the middle of the block. There is another system similar ACSS also from extreme carving forum but guy who makes it never answer my e mail. I made two purchases from Roberto and he provides great service and delivery is absolutely the fastest. I have 2 BTS for sale if somebody looking for them. $25 plus shipping and I can probably find some spare extra light spring with it . Lighter than yellow.
  17. 25 years. The boards under 165 work for me the best. They just fit me. Old Rossi VAS, Trans Bastard, old MADD, Virus Rocket, Hurricane, UFC, SoulCarver and Coiler Angry they are all 159 to 163cm. Last spring I demoed in the absolutely same conditions Donek MK and 168 Kessler. I preferred MK in any aspect. They work great on narrow and busy slopes in steep and moguls And you can ride them fast too. Everybody has a different taste I guess.
  18. $120 for new pair. I want them for modification. And when you take hag saw and grinder to boots pretty much you will not sale them if it does not work. So far I like them actually this is the first Raichle style boot which somehow works for me. Maybe because I made them shorter as much as I could and put the softest tongue on the front boot and old Raichle thermoliners in. With size 26.5 I have no problems with overhang. Maximum front binding angle in these days is 55 depending on the board. Of course I do not ride 15 - 17.5 cm wide boards anymore due to foot surgery. Now I am on 19 to 21cm.
  19. DGSS spring system for Raichle by Roberto alias Drupi on extreme carving forum. This system is better than BTS. It was available for UPZ originally now also for Raichle. Delivery from Italy about 3 days. It took actually longer to get it from FedEx. I am using softer springs. Hopefully I will put it in the test next weekend.
  20. Pretty much the same concept I am using since last winter. I also cut boots a bit make them shorter. These are 1degree ski boots( Raichle with DIN sole). I do not like tall boots it was problem with UPZ but they can't be cut due to spring location. After this modification these are first Raichle style boots I can ride and like them. I collected bunch of various tongues for them so I can change flex next will be back springs from Drupi.
  21. Can I order it on Bomber? That's what Iam thinking about this miracle.
  22. Nice. Now we have "young and old" guys on this forum, actually why not Bomber dealt with customers in the similar way. Now I see a lot of people looking to Fin like he will be knight on the white horse better on the white snowboard. He will save company and everything will be like in the pass. Maybe he will get some right to design back, maybe even some parts will be made in the future, maybe the real luck is this is a such a small segment of snow industries that there will not be too much interest from the others to do what is commonly done everywhere . To buy competition and shut them down. TDs are solid bindings but still you need periodically change some parts just common wear and yes you can break the bail. It was long hike from the top of Sentinel bowl down. So keep your spare parts for the worst outcome.I have 4 SW hopefully I should be Ok to the end of my boarding days. Regardless what will happen to this binding in the future brand name is badly stained.
  23. Don't waste time at BA, go to Truckee to Soren, he has tuning shop Ski and More, he is running my boards for years.
