  1. I will be glad to make one day. I would like to try some new boards. I changed job recently, but even if I had a vacation I don't think I would waste it on Kirkwood. I am there almost every weekend. Vacation days are for Colorado or Europe in my case.
  2. PowerWrap si extremly firm. It did my Heads non rideable and went to garbage can after a couple days. I just did not work for me. Be careful about asking people at Intuition about help with snowboard boots. I did it last year and they recommended liner which was too short for UPZ. In the end I got their Classic RD, but even that one is not like old pink Raichle thermoliner. I put in in my Dynafits and currently have Full Tilt Plush in UPZ.
  3. X socks. Thanks Ursle for link. This is pretty good price for carving silver. Just ordered two pairs.
  4. Of course they change. This is a reason I don't waste money on custom footbeds anymore. Next year they are useless just causing pain. Liners usually need to be re molded every winter. Currently I have 3 pairs of boots and suffer at all of them regardless how much money and work was put into them in previous seasons.
  5. Around 1995 Snowpro made step in which worked with ski boots. If I remember correct set up was a little bit tricky and get out of it was real pain in the ass. The was small level on the bottom of the binding. Maybe somebody still has it.
  6. Sold to Ryan he was the first in the line.
  7. Virus Hurricane Zylon 162, 17.5 wide still pretty stiff and X Race 170, 23 wide all mountain which is soft board. $150 each. I am not using them anymore, they should be good for somebody looking for first or cheap boards. I would prefer local pickup in the worst case I will ship them but you will pay postage.
  8. Neanderthal question about different boots. Front is Scarpa Maestrale for fit it does not hurt my foot and back is Dynafit Zero. It has better flex. I prefer Dynafit but after about 2 years My left foot started to hurt badly and no boot fitting was successful. I am using this set up on alpine boards also. A couple years ago I tried UPZ RC 8 but they did not work for me so last year I got ATB with the almost same result. I think I just do not like too tall boots. I am ready to do radical "surgery" on ATBs this weekend. It will work or they will go to the garbage can.
  9. If you will be lucky and see the tip of you board. Portillo is high above tree line, very nice but the weather can be horrible there. The half of the time I spent in the pool drinking pisco sour.I tried to get Mammoth today, left home at 3 am got to Mantica and there is the sign Tioga and Sonora passes closed again. So I turned And drove back home. I realy did not expert that, I did not even bother to check road conditions. So I hope for next weekend, probably last days in this season. Mammoth is now open from 7:30 till 2pm.
  10. OK guys, Saturday morning on Stump Alley chair. Yellow pants, see you there.
  11. Barry, no problem with Mammoth, I plan to be there May 7-8. They are talking to be open till July 4th, probably only a couple runs but it is always fun.
  12. Squaw got some snow, maybe 16-20" on the top, it was good for anout two hours, than it turned into s..., but better than nothing
  13. My oppinion, get rid of them. I have US size 8.5. All my ski and snowboard boots were 26.5. A couple years after foot surgery I bought RC8 at 27.5. They were extremely comfortable after I put thermoliners in. I was not able to make them to ride for me, I though they were too stiff. I sold them and around Christmas I bought 2016 ABS. I asked Dan about correct size and he told me to get 26.5. So I did and it was horrible mistake. Too short, original liner was about 1/2 shorter than any of liner I have in that size, I know guys here tell you stretch it, it would be paper thin. I did not even bother with this liner and went straight to thermoliners. Even with those I am done after 3 hours. They became torturing device and I am not able to ride in these either even with Roberto's custom spring system. They feel OK on the carpet, but on the snow different story. These boots are just not for me, maybe they are too tall or that inside ramp is too steep. I had to change my front binding to 6 degree toe lift. My friend had the same experience with size, he went from 26.5 RC 10 to 27.5 ABS and he is happy now. UPZ sizing is rather dubious. For me it was $800 mistake.
  14. I will ve there on Sunday. Saturday North Shore, I need use my SV pass. Joe will be there on Sunday also I guess.
  15. Virus #12 & 13. Delivered from Germany to slopes of Aspen. Soulcarver Carbon 162 and something for deeper snow Powow Carbon 155.
  16. Thank guys. Problem is the liner, it is simply too short. I do not want make any stretching, liner is so thin in the toe now, after stretch it has to be a paper thin and these liners are not known to be warm at first place. I have two screws in my big toe joint so it is a bit sensitive to any pressure and cold. If I will keep the boots I wil try to sell brand new liner. I ordered Intution universal per their advice. I got it today liner is correct size but it is too short and not too much comfortable. It is getting a little bit frustrating. I will return this one and got Classic. I should go with my gut feeling rather than their experts.
  17. Hi Max, I did shell test it is OK, I talk to Dan he told me I am in right size. I check length of liner in comparison with the rest of my liners 4 different ones and UPZ liner is absolutely the smallest one about half of the inch on the average. I think this is the main reason. I also talk to Intuition guys and their recommendation was Universal liner at 27 for UPZ boots of my size. Again longer liner. You had the same problem and even Joe is in the similar situation. It makes in a little bit wonder about their liner sizing. It looks to me you buy the boots and better get a size bigger liner if you are at high end of their range. It sucks, but I planed to use Intuition liner anyway. I don't even know why I bought these boots combo Scarpa - Dynafit works OK, but I want little bit more forward lean. I hopes it will work or after I will be done with all improvements it can be another 6 hundreds down to drain. Thanks for answers guys.
  18. I got UPZ Abt about 2 weeks ago. According a foot measurement and my size of ski boots I am in 26.5 but the boots are so uncomfortable it is actually painful. Original liner seems to be stretched in toe area like nothing I ever saw in other linners I had. I tried thermoliners custom footbeds and boots are still to tight. Outside shell on UPZ is 287mm , my Dynafits 26.5 are 296mm and Scarpas even 306mm. Had anybody similar problem with UPZ ? I know my friend giving up on the same size 26.5 after one winter for the same reason. I am thinking to get 27.5 but I had RC 8 in that size, They were comfortable with thermoliners , but felt somehow strange, stiffer and I never made them work for me. Any tips?
  19. 27.5 Size. Original liner was never used, extra set of red soft tongues. Maybe 20 days on the boots. With Thermoliners most comfortable boots I ever had, but I never figured out to ride in these. $250 +30 shipping or pick them up. Cat is not for sale, she just wanted to be in the picture.
  20. Contact Dragorider, I sold him pair of boots on Thursday and gave him as a bonus entire set of spare buckles. Maybe you guys can make a deal. Ladia
  21. Dragonrider, I have 26.5, original never use liner an bunch of spare parts. If you are interested pick them up at Hayward for $100.
  22. B0ardski, what binding are you using with Scarpas? I recently tried New Scarpa GT, I liked them very much, but they did not fit into Bomber toe piece. Probably they would fit with some grinding, but do I want to grind $ 500 boot just from the start without even knowing what the final result will be?
  23. Thanks Jim, I know that store, I will try them.
  24. To grind base flat go to Starthouse at Truckee and than bring board to Soren for edges. He is also at Truckee, he did not have wide enough grinder, last year. But I do not have time to do it. So I will have to try one of the shops at Aspen downtown for overnight job.
