  1. Looking for soft ( red) tongues 2 hinges old model.
  2. I want to hear first report for this board for sure.
  3. I preferred softer spring on back boot. You can get any stiffness for example from Lee Spring company.
  4. I did several more days. The quality of the light is one of the biggest problems. Sunny days are ok but even slightly overcast sky and I am pretty much blind everything blends in one white mass. Yesterday at Kirkwood I even did not bother get on slope. I did one adjustment to my stand. I UN zepparate thoze kneezzz and it felt much better. Every day is still challenge.
  5. I have been using various AT boot ( Scarpa, Dynafit, Fisher) with TD2 and 3 for years without any problem.
  6. Nothing special on it, it is fun. It somehow personalized you board. On the other hand it can also make your board difficult to sell. No everybody has the same taste. Angry was only board I did not sell and I did not even bother with fully custom built Virus. Maybe I was hoping I will ride it again, but not sure. Too “big” board for my current condition.
  7. Probably for me to be accurate. 14 months after my injury and a half year after cancer surgery I hit slopes at Soda Spring resort where I took my first snowboard lesson decades ago. I started on the absolutely easiest beginners slope and slowly worked up to the “steepest” slope on the picture. Of course my legs were like noodles and people around scared me. It will not be like before I will just carefully slide the hills but just to be outside on the snow was like small miracle. Ladia my old log in just dos not work
  8. I have ridden various length boards during last 30+ years but my favorite always were boards under 165cm. Probably the best of all was old silver Virus Rocket. One board I should not sell. I replace it with Zylon Hurricane but that Rocket was something special. I bought on the trip to Germany at Chemnitz on sale. Sweet memories.
  9. Almost same question somebody ask last week. I was riding Dynafit and Scarpa AT boots for years. They were much better for me than any UPZ model. And I don’t even talk about weight. So light compare those UPZ leg stones. And of course much better and safer for climbing if you do it.
  10. I used them to years Dynafit ZZero and Scarpa Maestrale. You can ride them lock or unlock. Dynafit were one of the best boots I ever had. So light. They got destroyed and new I got a couple months before injury were pretty much the same shape but not light. It is much easy and safer to climb in these boots. Sad it is history for me. Scarpas were 10 mm longer for the same size than Dynafits. You cannot go wrong with them, of course no step in binding.
  11. I do if the boots have this option. It compensates for “X”or “O” legs. There was boot fitter at San Francisco about 25 years back and he actually measured you legs. Since those days I know, I have about 3 degree bow on my left leg. It helped in old style of liner to release pressure away from ankle. In new thermoliners it is different story. You can also compensate by footbed to certain degree. To set up my boots as comfortable as possible was probably my number one priority. Sometimes I even rode two different boots. It brought usually a lot of questions on the chairlifts. My answer was I am poor and I can afford only one boot for season.
  12. What size you are looking for?
  13. Just normal regular vision. How my priorities changed during one year.
  14. I wanted to try boarding, so I bought at Copeland sport on same ridiculous sale alpine Hooger Booger board with soft boot bindings. Of course I did not have an idea what is alpine board. It was just a cheap board. One afternoon I tried it with Nordica Grand Prix.Of course disaster and I broke that bindings. I got replacement and I needed boots so I went to rental shop. They did not have soft boots to rent but offered me brand new plastic purple lace Kastingers still in the box. So I took them and went for a lesson at Soda Springs resort. On the return they offer to sell boots for a good price and even took renting fee out. After a couple weeks I found out there is something called hard binding. I hated those straps. So I got Fritchi and the rest was the history. And now after thirty years I plan later in winter to take slope at Soda Springs and try to board again. I have top equipment this time but messed up body.
  15. Well, today it is exactly one year since my accident and 4 months since cancer surgery. Knock on the wood. My eye situation is still the same. 3&4 cranium nerves are permanently damaged. So only hope for some kind of improvement is eye surgery. Appointment with surgeon next week. Upper right side of the body is still very painful I am not even sure if it is still from that shoulder. But I still not give up. I bought new body armor, new FIS approved helmet it is heavy and no any vents and also orange Visually Impaired bib. Yes like this stop some 70 years idiot. I just need neck brace. I would like to try some bunny hill sliding probably Soda Springs later in the winter. So have everybody somehow decent season in this miserable time. We are probably finally getting some snow here on the West coast. And be very careful.Remember slopes are full of idiots. I just can’t log in with my name. Jack tried to do something with it but it worked once, twice. Maybe it some sign start under new name, new boarding stage? Who knows.
