  1. Virus has some of these. Hurricane, Rocket or my new toy UFC 163:biggthump
  2. How do you like this board? Could you be willing to write some review?
  3. 4807 is piece of ****. I broke 2 of them longitudinally. But I paid about 150 per board so no harm.
  4. Thanks Jack. This helps with set-up tremendously.
  5. Does anybody have this program or do you know where to find it? I checked Scott Firestone’s TheCarver’s Almanac, but click always take me to telebomber set up.
  6. With a generous help of my friends Jana, Michal and Frank I got new toys for my 50th birthday. The board is unbelievable. I cannot wait to put it on the snow over weekend. There is a small problem. Doctor found broken bone in my right foot yesterday. I took “only” two months to find out. It has been hurting like a hell but I was able put 12 days on the snow. Maybe with some painkillers, Ibuprofen, moon boot and ice and will be able to postpone obvious. Well I guess I am really old fart falling apart. :(
  7. The board looks slightly asym to me. Also interesting it looks like there will be 2 kinds of plates, nose and noseless.
  8. I rode Wombat with ski and snowboard boots years and yeas ago. If I remember correctly I had no problem but the base plate of binding slowly bent up a little bit.
  9. On 17cm wide boards I am still riding Heads. Dynafits are so light compare to Heads and much safer to hike.
  10. I put fender washer between base of TD1 and bumpers. Usually one is enough take care about gap, but I also have some thicker washers.
  11. Thanks Randy. I will do it in the evening. Kirwood was great on Sunday. Very hard. Connestoga was nice till 1pm.;)
  12. What I suppose to do be able to log in? It did not work last year and it still not working this winter. Do I need make new name and registration?
  13. I do not remember Phiokka model, but it was expensive piece of crap. Not happy with it and never buy another one. I do not see difference, but my sheets are only 1/16” thick. Only what is the difference soft ones are much easier to cut. Main reason for me was top sheet protection from TD1 base disks these were very roughly machined.
  14. I bought a couple 12” x 12” sheets of black and amber polyurethane 1/16” thick of various hardness. Some hardness numbers were comparable with Bomber insulating ring. I am using polyurethane under Phiokka binding and also under my workhorse TD1s.
  15. I used polyurethane sheet. You can get different hardness and thickness and even adhesive backing from McMaster –Carr. Pages 3130 to 3150 in their catalog.
  16. Does have Bomber plate only one set of holes for binding or it is just an optical illusion?
  17. As I see my dear Italian friends don’t belong between sharpest knives in the drawer.
  18. I tried to call Head about replacement tongues last year. I wanted to buy them, but they were very uncooperative. They told me to take boots to dealer and go thru warranty process. Yes 4 years old boots. I was lucky to have old pairof boots for spare parts. From my experience these tongues don’t last more than a couple years.
  19. Because Jack Michaud said OK. Everything Jack says is the law on Bomber. You should know better! And zeparate thoze kneezzz jacopodotti.
  20. Everybody has the same problem.
  21. This is pretty scary looking design for my taste.
  22. On 4th pair of Heads, never had this problem.
  23. I just wish to be there. I try to finalize my order for new Virus and I am hopelessly undecided. I must drive Frank crazy. Which one? That’s the hardest question when you buying Virus.
  24. I tried 4 buckles Zero CF in summer. They are very well built, compared to Head hardboots and extremely light. I rode them, they seem OK. You can ride them in ski or walk mode. Also forward lean has two positions. I kept front boot in first and back in second and it felt just right. I had just a couple runs in these due to extreme foot pain. But I decided to buy them at 50% off price. I immediately replace liners with my spare thermo mold Intuition; let guys to punch left shell, remold liners. After all that work I was still not able to wear them for longer than 5-10 minutes. So I started to cut foam out of liners. After several round of cutting they finally feel comfortable. I can wear only thin liner socks in those. I want to do some grinding or cutting on the top of the tongue. It also caused pain with original liner. I plan used them for backcountry boarding and resort hiking, where the snowboard hard boots are pain in the ass and actually pretty dangerous. About forward flex. I do not like stiff boot, I am riding Heads with soft tongues extra soft springs at BTS and cut out inside wings. ZZero are maybe bit stiffer in lock ski position in walk mode they are pretty soft. Entire boot is flexing. Also tongues are sliding forward and back when you flex the boots. This also helps. There plastic supposed to be stable to some degree with temperature change. I am pretty pleased with them. I tried a bunch of AT boots and like ZZero the most. And they are pretty “cool” looking. I cannot wait to try them after all that fitting work. Only what I do not like non step in binding with these. There are new UPZ ATB, which I would consider but there is only one vendor for North America and I can’t buy boot without putting them actually on my feet.
