  1. I switched from UPZ RCR to MS951 - regular one, not world cup. I changed the liner in MS951 to my UPZ foam liner, that just fitted great. I have a C shell while in UPZ I had 312mm shell. C shell is smaller, so I had to crank down my bindings (F2s Ti M size), which is always a plus, as it is much easier to center the boots now. The biggest difference for me vs UPZ was how they hold my foot. Different binding point and cables makes me feel like someone is holding my heel in place. in UPZ I always felt like someone was holding just the front of the foot - I know this sounds strange, but I guess you can only understand if you rode in both. I keep the shells of RC10 just in case, but I really dont think I will be going back. 951 seem really well built and sturdy, while my UPZ tend to catch a lot of dirt and scratch, but maybe its the matte finish on 951. Customer service and help from HR and Jennifer is awesome too - you dont get that out of mr Aigner.
  2. Hey! Do really all coiler and donek handle like a buick ? Dont think so.
  3. Take a look at SGs - I am especially fond of Full Race 163/ Full Carve 163 Second choice would be Apex - http://www.apex-snowboards.com/ - I also own a 162 SL board from them, custom flex to 85 kgs and board has been riding like a dream, with a ton of pop. Virus - tried a couple - never liked them - pricing is extreme too - if you are lucky for a price of a virus you can get two SGs or 2 Apex Pogo - I cant recall when they have changed something in their lineup - they look kinda old fashioned but I guess people can like that too. I think they offer only camber boards. Last question - why would you go for a european board having Donek and Coiler there?
  4. Mothership is owned by capita. Sigi owns a stake there too. Elan went bust some years ago, but they did produce SG line for a while, so i would assume they know how to make a good board. Friend of mine recently purchased a ballistic sl. When i try it i let you know ;)
  5. Ok one more for you guys. Someone ordered this 162 custom built for 85 kgs. Never picked up. Titanal construction and 10 M progressive radius. Could not pass on this...
  6. First left - upm (or close) plus 4x2 Second - 4x2 plus vist central insert Third - 4x2 Fourth - all flex plus 4x4 Fifth - no idea
  7. I got it on SG Carve Camp from Sigi himself. I can ask him if you wish :P
  8. On boots : my personal preference is the upz. Had been riding upz for 4th season now. Benefits: Hold your foot like a vice Highly customizable: Foam liners Interchangeable tongues from very soft to super stiff Shorter sole than deluxe ( same boots size in deluxe had me using L size f2s, while in Upz I fit into M size easily. Got 285mm foot which would be a same shell size as yours) Power parts : Powerstrap with a ratchet that works really good. It's call3d shoxxter plus Spoiler and rcr cuff to give you support on the heelside Upz is a realny great boot, but i have to admit that I have switched to 951 and like them even better. Only the liner in them seems like a sore point now.
  9. on the numbers: 11,46 - looks like radius to me 4x4 upm4 - i bet you there is a universal plate mount around your standard 4x4, underneath the topsheet 50 - seems like stance 260/239 - tail/nose width - dont know which is which, take a measuring tape and see if thats right 200 - waist width - same here take a measuring tape 70.1 - probably the recommended rider weight? plate marks - looks like vist to me or kessler kplate world cup - mounted directly to 4x4 let me know what did you find out - as last resort you can always write to Hansjorg Kessler - he will be able to help for sure.
  10. For all of you with foot fetish ;) Plus full set up too
  11. Sigi says protect the nose and you will be ok I done this on my full race and never had any issue.
  12. there is a couple of resorts like that in Austria or Italy. Italy has much better weather though. check out this site: http://www.valdisole.net/en/homepage/ they usually have deals there too, which are always worth it. When you will be closer to your dates, I can recommend a few hotels that are located right on the slopes. Price per person: 7 nights, 6 days of riding, HB - approx 540 euros Enjoy!
  13. Hi Brian Do you have specific dates just yet ? I usually go there second week of January as in italy There is so called turbo week. My personal recommendation is the Folgarida/marilleva area, where if you buy the right pass you have access to 5 resorts connected together. Let me know if you need anything else
  14. Never seen anyone race on oes in world cup race. You mean junior or kids teams ? Market is bigger than just race teams, but it is up to you if you wanna participate or not. Good luck to you or udachi malchik with this approach. I would like to try your boards but if you don't give me a chance( or anybody else really) how I am supposed to spend cash on your stuff?
  15. Carvers.it Poland has it has own forums. If you don't want to join the carving session how do you promote yourself then ? Sorry but I find this a little bit silly Alexey.
  16. Disagree. Poland has a polish carving community that is pals with Italian carving community. Every year both groups hosts events I.e. Polish Carving Session, where people from both countries join See some pics here http://wsm24.com.pl/cd/pcs7/ Had even Sigi Grabner visit us. Would you like to join this year ?
  17. Do you have same sort of game for Europe? I am more than happy test out an oes
  18. Hi All, selling my pro team 163. owned since new. 30 days on this board over last three years, as it was used with 4 other boards in my quiver. plenty of edge life left. Board is signed by Sigi, Justin Rieter and Sylvain Dufour during last day of the season, a small rock has rolled under the board - it is visible in one of the pics - just a base gouge though. Asking - $380 plus shipping can ship world wide if buyer pay shipping

  20. Forgot to mention our only Polish brand there man - Nobile Nobile is finally introducing a board with Tit in it :) Very snappy boards that make you fly.
  21. Isn't that EC ? I prefer this and sg is perfect for race style carve
  22. I have not ridden donek or any American snowboard brand, but have ridden SG my entire hardboots career. I have ridden both full race and full carve and loved them all. Full race being a full spec race machine is a fantastic carving tool for ice and hardback, albeit a bit damp with titanal. Full carve is same shape but without titanal, meaning that it is more lively. I would give both a try. I found it easier to make progress as a beginner on titanal board as it just makes the ride smooth as silk.
