  1. Hey, is BSP an athlete? If they are here right now, this might be a good sponsor plate for the sport school.
  2. Heads up in case anyone missed it. Robby Burns did an interview on FIS Behind the scenes... https://www.fis-ski.com/en/snowboard/news-multimedia/videos/2020/12/behind-the-scenes-robby-burns-fis-snowboard-uvhVgSOFQzg
  3. And oddly enough, the competitions are still happening here in Europe. From kids all the way up to World Cup. Maybe some events are cancelled but even the ski/snowboard schools are open in our area. Also, Instagram shows that Russian snowboarding schools are very active, as well as Asian countries. I wonder if sending mails to these places pointing out this fact will change anything. Just a thought
  4. HR was doing World Cup races when I first met him. I had never tried before I met him. So all of my snowboarding knowledge and ability is because of him. Great sport to do together!
  5. The post was in 2017 shortly before our boot came onto the market. The 20 year old Northwaves were extremely sought after and often went for 2500-3500€ at the time. Our Standard 100flex is 890€, the WorldCup 120flex is 990€ and the new RaceDepartment 130flex is 1090€
  6. Hey there, great to hear you're starting out again this season. I read your message to hubby and he says the calf burning sounds like you may need to change your binding and boot settings. Post a bit about your settings (stance, angles, distance, flat or wedge)
  7. Sorry, what do you mean with your post? We have many beginners, junior athletes, and people coming back into the sport who are very happy with the boots. We also have snowboard schools using our boots.
  8. Are you referring to the hoof binding?
  9. Hello BlueB Thanks for your question. We have 2 stiffness options for the boot shell. The standard version is flex 100 and the World Cup version is flex 120. You can also adjust the stiffness with tongues. We have stiffness 100, 110 and 120. Or you can choose different springs: green (softest), blue (soft), red (hard), yellow (harder). Hope this helps! Greetings Jennifer Hello, Yes we are planning to make a smaller shell (AS) and a larger shell (E). Our goal is for next season. Greetings Jennifer We do have a working binding which was used a whole season in World Cup. However, it would be too expensive to produce and sell. We are currently looking at other options. Our focus at the moment are on smaller and larger boots.
  10. Hey, thanks for the question. Our kids use their skiboots still for hardboot setup. If the ski or snowboard hardboot are big enough... The F2 Carver RS https://www.f2.com/snow/bindings.php?L=&da=1928&dk=47&db=11&name=CARVE RS Or, if you can find one... a Burton without a metal base (carrier See pic)
  11. I guess I have only these 2 things in my life regarding "life changing" HR to the right.... and the old NW on the feet
  12. You're lucky you got to watch it at all! Here in Europe, it is literally blocked in most countries outside of Austria ORF Sport. We had to watch it on some Polish channel (after me searching more than 30min) on a TV app for the PGS. And the slalom, Lukasz gave us a Russian TV link. Thanks again Lukasz! Pretty amazing racing!
  13. Hi there... yes they are! You can either bake them or just wear them a few times. I don't think we will be going to North America any time soon. Maybe in the summer if we are lucky! Greetings Jennifer Yes, that's right. But we want to get a normal binding done before step in. Our next projects are to produce the E-Shell boots and a smaller junior boot.
  14. Why hard to visit? We get tickets to send people You can also come and visit us in Switzerland.
  15. You were at the ISPO in Beijing? Cool! Are you going to come and visit us at ISPO in Munich? (B5/454) I only know about it because it was posted on Instagram and we looked a bit more into it. I honestly have no idea how they will be, but it would be pretty cool to see them. Hopefully they'll have them in Munich as well. Greetings Jennifer
  16. Did you know that Deeluxe has now combined some kind of softboot and hardboot together with a hard binding? They had it on display at the ISPO in Beijing last week... Not sure how that will be but it is another option for free carvers who maybe prefer a harder setup. Honestly, I think I'd like to check it out while at ISPO in 2 weeks. We will be there too if anyone is attending. We are in Building B5 and booth 454
  17. Here are some of our family pics... All of them can ski! Ages 8, 6 and 3. Our oldest tried softboots a few years back and hardboots the first time last year. Luckily (because we didn't have extra skis) our daughter was totally excited to try the snowboard the first time last weekend
  18. Thanks so much Slapos! Sorry you feel the price is too high yamifumi. However, the boots don't cost more than the high end plates or boards. You can also buy lower end plates and boards., right? The biggest reason for the higher cost (besides the unebelievably high cost of moulds we invested just to produce the boots) is the cost of the plastic. Our boots are Grilamid, which costs 3-4x more than the other boots on the market. Also the lightest (especially with the new liner) It's only the 2nd year on the market so it will take awhile for word to get and to get a network of shops. When we can produce more, we can lower the cost. I'm grateful we decided to do the project and I'm also grateful for the support you guys give us. We couldn't do it without you guys! We also try our best to answer whatever questions you may have with a setup best fit for you. So if you ever have questions, just let us know.
  19. How could the golfer win... seriously!?! I hope Mattel mass produces the Ester Barbie. That is really an awesome looking doll!
  20. Yes, but it was recently posted in the FB forum a few days ago... so it was new for us
  21. Oh my! Well yes, Bola is around... he recently wrote a very good article and it was posted on the facebook Alpine Snowboard Trader page: https://allboardssports.com/updated-thoughts-on-snowboard-plates-alpine-snowboard-plates/?fbclid=IwAR3k-Mf1qFXVcwAx4wyoNl_yIFtHf07wla22KkpiNGi5OhjA2ngZv5BgeDo
