  1. Hmm.......Dave what's your stance width on your plate?
  2. Ok....tried the advice of moving the binding to get the BP axle more towards center of my rear foot. Moved rear binding back 1 set/row of inserts of the center disk of my TD's I took it out for a spin in crappy conditions. All I can say is i didn't notice any negatives from moving the rear binding backwards....it did widen my stance and centered me more....not uncomfortable but I think I want to get back over the nose..... but if I move the front binding forward to get back over the nose I widen my stance even more I'm at the widest UPM mount settings....guess I could move the UPM axles in towards each other 1 set of slots ?? Don't remember.....is UPM/BP mount hole choice based on rider weight or type of ride/turn desired?? The angles in the photos are deceiving, but: 1st photo Before - axle under heel = 20.5 stance 2nd photo After - axle forward of heel = 21 stance
  3. Love my K168! ....and Love went to Pure Lust by adding a Bomber BP v2!! It deserves all the accolades!! The difference I see is the K loves the nose loaded up but the Thirst design keeps ya/wants ya to stay neutral I heard....not a bad thing... just different. Personally I'm all hot and bothered to try a Thirst SF162 !
  4. Wow...hard to answer! Every season, every new board or piece of gear has provided me the ability to make marked improvements....in different areas! All of the below have had Significant Wow! Factor!! 2001 -Sims Noah Salasnek Descender 159 2011 - Virus AFT-FLP 163 2013 - Virus UFC 169 2015 - Swoard EC 175 2016 Swoard Dual 168 2016 - Moss Snowstick U5 2017/18/19 - Moss PQ60 2017 - Coiler EC SS177 2017 - Swoard Dual II 168 2018 Alloy DO 163 2018 - Kessler 168 2019 - Bomber BP v2 Plate
  5. Hey Corey, Interested...always wanted to try the Proteus.....but the few Donek's I had/tried were thigh killing stiff..at least for my legs. What rider weight range is the 170 made for? Was this is an all day board for you? Have a blast at Turner!
  6. Hey Ski Daddy Interested- What rider weight range is the 175 made for? How would you differentiate the ride to your K168?
  7. Hmm...Interesting logic........ you feel changing cant disk more effective than just moving your rear binding back a slot....?? Wonder if one is recommended over the other as a first step go to? Seems like a good option...if ya got the extra cant disks.......
  8. Thanks SS! There is a contingent out there that's telling me the rear axle is supposed to be under the Middle of The Foot.....not under your heel. Any logic to this??
  9. My K168 with the BP is riding great, but I was thinking of moving the front binding forward one slot on my TD 3's to get the front axle under my big toe more.... i think the beginning of my big toe joint is over the axle but It's hard to judge from feel and impossible to see with my foot in the boot on the plate/binding.....so I think I'm close to being over the axle but probably behind it still......but thing is I use Gilmour bias, so front binding is off of what center was/is(??) already.........so not sure what to do....except try it. I'm using the widest UPM settings on the plate As I thought I understood it: Front Foot - the axle is to under the beginning of big toe joint Rear Foot - the axle is to be under your heel First two photos show both sides of Front foot boot/binding/axle interface. Third photo is rear boot/binding/axle alignment. Am I missing something in my setup??
  10. Nice and smooth! Not a lot of wasted energy. Looks like it's working for ya.....but my only question is what was your rationale for increasing front toe lift and decreasing rear heel lift ?? That 6/3 would have the effect of placing your weight more towards the rear.....................compared to the standard 3/6 being "lifted" towards the nose. ??

  12. Moss Snowstick! Love mine in the Trees, in hardboots on TD3 SW SI's https://www.evo.com/shop/snowboard/snowboards/moss-snowstick https://www.backcountry.com/moss-snowstick
  13. Didn't say it was a Oxygen...just that the adjustability design looked a lot like the O1 Oxygen. The original photo LB posted of the manual binding looks old school lke the Oxygen 01 That step in version looks pretty cool and more burly............
  14. Hmm.......Looks a lot like a striped down version of the old Oxygen O1's I had a couple of pairs from back in the late 90's ........they held up pretty well...........don't think I got rid of them until after 2012 or so. Womder what their Center Disk looks like? Surprised nobody's produced anything more technologically advanced after all these years Guess it's cheaper to go with a known production than incur the cost to retool a whole new design.
  15. No MRI appointment yet.... went riding instead! Had a good afternoon on the Swoard Dual. Made some fun turns.... for a one armed paper hanger
  16. Thanks for that info. 18 is too narrow for my taste. I'll pass.
  17. Ha! ...No pool unless. your Thirst SF 162 is in the Kitty!
  18. Awww..........LB, your such a caring guy! I feel tha love!! No news...still waiting for Insurance to ok MRI.......I expect I'll be able to get it done by end of this week. ....and I expect them to tell me, yes it's tore and I need surgery....duh! I can ride, sorta aggressive...my heelside/bad arm side turns are loopy C's...but it's still fun. Gonna head to the resort tomorrow if weather holds...... Probably put off the slice and dice until the resorts close.... I still got no pain.... still just can't reach left or past my nose...outside of those two movements I got full mobility and strength.
  19. Interested You sure it's a 160?? I don't remember any 160 in there line up....161 or 162, 164 maybe? You got any info that came with it? Could be a production stamp on one side of sidewall 160 x 23 x 18 ...... you saying 18 is the waist width? So what's 23 represent?? Was this new this year, last year? How many days/hours on the board??
  20. Someone post some photos of there NSR boards!!!
  21. Well....drink more water and that will clear right up
  22. LB and I rarely agree on anything....but we sorta agree on this. That said, are you more worried about falling over or about too much speed?? You don't have to have more speed to accomplish going farther into and deeper into your carves your making now.....you just have to commit to getting the board even more on edge ("fall further into those carves") and riding it out...which will additionally accomplish (1) picking up more speed and (2) you will find that line/sweet spot between falling over and riding it out............. Yeah........a starting "norm" on Bomber TD's...and I use that term loosely.... is a 3 degree disk for toe lift on front foot and 6 degree disk for heel lift on back foot. Try it - that setup should get your weight over the nose of your board which will really help with initiating your turns.
  23. Sticky snow? What's that?? Always Bring Some Sex Wax for the Glide!! Rub it on and your off to the races....at least for 3-5 runs before you got to reapply if spring condition corn snow. It Will Save Your Day! Any f4 labeled paste would help but ..... The Best IMO - http://bomberonline.3dcartstores.com/Dominator-Hyperzoom-Paste_p_208.html How Dominator dominates- http://www.dominatorwax.com/products/hyperzoom As to your turns...... what's the splay/distance between your bindings? Your stance looks wide ?? As to bias..... are you marking your bias from the center mark on the side/base of your boots? If I remember correctly (I use positive bias)....Front boot center mark is ahead of binding center mark and Rear boot center mark is behind binding center. Did you start there?? Also it looks like your throwing your rear knee out on heel side...when ya really want to pull/push your knees towards the turn..... more. More speed will help with this - see below Lastly- Speed! You need more speed. Yes I see it was a Sticky Day.... The board needs/wants more speed to do it's designed (at speed) job and more speed will get you and the board into a unified flow. I'm not talking ludicrous speed....just more speed......everything happens quicker and smoother....or with time will get smoother! .....with speed. Keep at it and enjoy the OMG moments when it all comes together for the Carve!
  24. Na I'm out with a shoulder injury I can ride... but it's more like putzing around. So gonna stay local and try to limp thru the remainder of the season before I go under the knife.....
  25. Crikey No, more interested in the RS164 been messaging with the OP.....so get in line! Just curious why I don't see the 168's listed Remind me.....didn't you just get a new Oxess 164 Daveo ??
