  1. Heard in the lift line with @johnasmo and @Paulk at Discovery, MT
  2. It only reached 14 on top and never got above freezing at the base. Some of the best chalky carving snow I have ridden all year. Super hero snow.
  3. Another amazing day at Whitefish! @johnasmo
  4. Dang! Glad you are both ok! Spooky!
  5. Just what style are we comparing? Knapton style, gate racers, boarder cross, soft boot carving like @crackaddictand @StrangeFuture808, Bomber Style, Skwal, and across both seas styles Carving is cool.
  6. Ryan Knapton dropped a couple videos while at MCC this year. It was great having him join us!
  7. Photo by @Riceball and rider is his son Brad at MCC 2023
  8. They have a great IG and do a great job promoting carving!
  9. Were you unable to make it to the event, too busy having fun at MCC or just want to support a Not-for-Profit ski area? Get your MCC Swag here! All proceeds go directly to Turner Mtn 501c3. Thank you for the support! https://montuckyclearcut.com/store This is my first try with an online store, any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
  10. @inkaholic My numbers are a little rough, but our group has contributed just under $180K into the whole Turner Mtn 501C3 in 5 years. That breaks down to just under $20K for the volunteer ski patrol, $4K into the ski shop (under 501c3) and $154K to Turner. This year was a record with over $40K to Turner, $6235 to ski patrol and $1K to the ski shop. I manage the event as a Special Events Coordinator under the Turner Mtn Board of Directors. This makes all of the things we do so much easier. I can not even imagine how challenging it would be to pull this off in any other way. According to my Mom, who was the Chamber of Commerce Director in Libby for 20+ years, she says a dollar of tourism circulates 4 times in the community... So the power of you all coming to Libby 4x.
  11. Our 2023 Poster Star Diana signing posters for the kids of Libby. A request from one of the Local Turner Ski Mom's.
  12. Anna has been an amazing person to work with for the last 5 years. She has created all of our logos, social media content, posters, short videos and so much more. Her vision, support and creativity will be missed. I can never thank her enough. Hope you enjoy the new adventure Anna!
  13. Flat and low light riding is really challenging. Having at least one visual reference, faith and a relaxed lower body sure helps. I got to go riding with my childhood best friend a couple weeks ago. He has been skiing since we were kids and has been progressively going blind his whole life. He is 99% blind now. We used headsets to steer him down Turner. He is a real inspiration.
  14. 126 including media, staff, instructors. Every corner of the US and Canada was represented. UK and NZ also represented. Thank you all for the amazing support of Turner Mt, the Community of Libby and the sport of snowboard carving.
  15. If any are left at the end of event, I will put them on our website.
  16. https://www.skiturner.com/cameras Watch what you are missing Sunday with Michael and Iris getting some warm up laps in.
  17. I have not found the best answer on long lasting carving gloves or mitts. Shoe Goo I have found is the longest lasting product to add as protection. The Thor mitts with seams and palms protected with Shoe Goo is pretty darn good. I really like mitts with wrist guards and they are really hard to find. Dakine had a Nova mitt with wrist guards, but they no longer make them. Shoe Goo protective layers added extended the life significantly. Level had the Super Carve but they no longer make those and they were silly expensive and needed Shoe Goo. Dragging hands should be done with extreme caution, it is a magnificent way to get finger, wrist, arm and shoulder injuries. Thor is a great supporter of the sport and will take your input to improve the product. I do like supporting companies like this.
  18. We have some amazing sponsors / partners at MCC. Link to https://montuckyclearcut.com/partners to visit our amazing sponsors! Not seen 4-5 boards, 2 sets of bindings, 1 set of hard boots, 3 onesies, coats, and so very much more! Funds raised are donated to Turner Mtn Ski Patrol. Last year we raised $5500 for them.
  19. You are correct. Some times the end of the cable sleeve frays and makes it challenging to remove. Good luck!
  20. Yes! Carl is planning on being there. And Winterstick! @soccerdoge Rob will be joining us for a couple days also
  21. @Carvin' Marvin Donek, Coiler, Ace Skwal, Rad-Air and Exegi are all providing demos!
  22. After looking at my bindings, yours should look like @slabber's photo with an e-clip to prevent it from sliding out. The toe part of the SW binding appears to be pressed into place.
  23. Beautiful board. Too wide for my taste.
  24. Shirts and hats from Mutant Printing nailed it!
