  1. Most likely North America’s biggest carving session in 2019. Most certainly the only one that exclusively has its own private ski area!
  2. Who are those riders? Where are they now?
  3. Quite different build and ride qualities. Both manufacturers are freaking AMAZING. I have yet to find one board or even one manufacturer to rule them all. I have loved trying out all the demos at the Aspen sessions. Each builder and series has its own magical qualities. I would fear that mixing Thirst and Coiler (or any two manufacturers) would degrade the traits that each manufactures offer. Mark is onto something really different and amazing with his boards. I am so looking forward to getting more time on my 8RW, the new build 9SW and future generations. The Mad Scientist always works alone... Thank Goodness we have such great Mad Scientists supporting our sport. Sounds like a PILE of Thirst owners will be at the Montucky Clear CUT. Join us and try one out!
  4. I think it it great! I really do not give one rats hiney about technique or style... This all about fun. Looks to me like the rider and film crew had fun making this! Donek supports a ton on amateur snowboarders and from what I understand it is based on how much social media attention they get. Because of this there are tons of young athletes out there promoting carving of all types and a brand that is here to stay. Great Job to Donek, Hunter and his brother!
  5. Got my stuff yesterday! EPIC! Super Fast! Well done!
  6. Bright colored helmet, wrist guard gloves/mits and BRIGHT COLORS preferably in a Onsie. Be seen.
  7. There is a link to lodging in the Lodging section of the MCC thread. Kootenai Angler has cabins at a discounted rate for our group. It is a slow time of year for Libby in February and prices seem pretty reasonable.
  8. http://carvemontana.com/877-2/ All kinds of carvers!!
  9. THE Carving event in North America this season!
  10. New Thirst ordered... Soo Thirsty... 9SW.... Montucky Clear CUT Edition...
  11. Welcome to the Forum! Lots of great folks here. Check out the Montucky Clear CUT part of the forum to meet folks from all over the US and Canada!
  12. We picked up our Montana passes last weekend! $175 for 28 days (early and late season) and one free day! Direct to lift the remaining parts of the season with a $20 discount. Worth it for just the closing weekend 4 days that we usually spend there!
  13. I have a T4 and T3 turbo version of 174 Nirvana Freecarve energy... love them both, but find the T4 to be a little more fun.. little better on firmer snow... @johnasmo has a proto T4 Anngry... he might be more help for you...
  14. Yes, was wondering who makes the lower for the TD3... did not see on the Iron Rock site. Looks stiff and interesting from first glance.
  15. Seen on Instagram, my google-fu was weak on this one.
  16. Boots: both brands very good, usually comes down to what brand fits your feet best Boards: They usual suspects are as excellent as always, Thirst Snowboards are AMAZING. Next Generation boards. Bindings: Same choices as ever. Plates: not for me and free riding / carving. Not worth the weight and slow speed performance when resort riding. Event: Montucky Clear CUT February 11-14, see Events Thread
  17. They don’t call it Dirty August for nothing..
  18. @monodude Great Idea! I am trying to keep my logistics as simple as possible. We will have the cafe open at Turner. They have a great cook/chef that will be serving breakfast and lunch to order... I let Turner know that most all of us are middle aged men and not your stereotypical snowboarders. The community will love the extra winter business! Thanks to all that are supporting my Hometown and ski area of my youth! !!FYI... BRING YOUR OWN BEER! Turner does not have a beer/liquor license!!
