west carven
howdy all just as i suspected, perfect groomers, i mean perfect groomers!!! best carving day so far, bluebird skies with cold temps. the cold temps kept alot of people at home, very few braved the cold. the lite crowds made for a great carving day. pushed it really hard today. i hope it doesn't snow cause tomorrow will be groomed even smoother. forcast for wed. thru fri. is a front to move in with warmer temps and more snow, even rain on friday. rode my yellow 178 speed from 9 till 3... west carven
howdy all again, bluebird skies till 1pm, smoother groomers, still cold temps. eds run was littered with fist size and two fist size death cookies through out the run. it was another great day in paradise. like yesterday the snow is in the best carving condition, but tonight a big pacific front is moving in and it will bring some snow and maybe some rain so conditions will break down. looks like this trend will continue where big storms pull wet stuff then then pull artic cold behind it. today angry rick put a newbie taylor on some hardboots, this kid is on his way, carves on his softboots, but wants to get hardboot gear. please help him out. rode my yellow 178 speed from 9 till 3... west carven
howdy all wasn't psyched to go up, but went anyways cause did not look foggy. after a few days of rain and warm temps the snow condition is very spring like and before i left around 12:30pm it was getting slushy. the snow is really wet and is very hardpack, the high traffic areas like the bottom of chair 7 is solid ice. last monday and tuesday was so good and now conditions are so bad. it did snow a little today mostly on the top part of the big. there was a kids race course on the mid to lower eds run, it was 13 year olds and under. anyways, made a few runs, rode my 160 speed from 9:30 till 12:30... http://www.nbcmontana.com/kcfw-weather/index.html http://weather.hawaii.edu/satellite/satanim.cgi?res=8km&chnl=wv&domain=hus&period=720&incr=30&rr=900&banner=uhmet&satplat=goeswest&overlay=off

Shred Gruumer
This may be a blessing... IT always goes in cycles here.. so this little warm up for a couple days may be a blessing as if you look at the NOAA seven day it starts down the ladder and should be good by thursday again staying steady temps and snow... Don't panic and start toasting!! Hey Canada.. point your fans south.. whats the matter with you!! Cheers.. RSS

Ha, we needed the pounding we got this weekend ... and if you want to take the ridiculous cold to go with it, have at it. Three of us got frostbite on Friday ... Keeping my fingers crossed. I might not be able to ride this weekend, but I'm still thinking of coming down anyway, just for the lulz and the cheap tequila ...

Allee
Only if I'm nice? Dude, that might take some effort.:) Lemme see what's going on ... I'm trying really hard to talk some more of the Calgary crew into coming down, and if I end up going solo I'll probably just grab a room in town with hot tub for Fri/Sat. I'll know deets for sure by Wed ...

I'll leave after work (about 2:30pm), so as long as the roads aren't too bad, should be in Whitefish by 5:30ish. I hope everything is ok with you and you will get to ride. west carven
howdy all didn't know what to expect after yesterdays rain soaked day so i am told. so i figured i putt around the backside on my short board. the backside snow was in great carving condition and the frontside top third was good, but the bottom part was polished ice. today there was a high thin overcast and the sun filtered thru and visibilty was good. forcast for the next week looks good with highs around 30/35 and lows around 20/25 so should be comfortable and snow should be good. rode my fp157 from 9 till 3... I'll be arriving very late Fri night, but if someone wants to give me a wake up call on Saturday morning and let me know the meetup time (hotel phone 1 (406) 7556123 ) that would be much appreciated! I don't know yet if I'll be able to ride, but I'd love to come and say hi to the crew at the start of the day, and find out the news for dinner and drinks on Sat night. Kathy, I FB'ed you. The second bed is yours. Looking forward to catching up!
