  1. How about a Winterstick Severe Terrain '66 with Head P7 bindings. Great condition, I've only ridden the board a few powder days, too wide for me. This "big Mountain" board was all the rage up here a while back or whatever. I like square tails.
  2. The old primes I used to buy from the WC guys in the spring often had hash marks to separate tip/tail from underfoot. One or two of these boards still had tuning specs. They were a series of mostly 3 digit numbers (mm?). A couple had degrees marked on edge for the three sections. The tips were not always the same as the tails and interestingly they were tuned asym with the rear (reg) usually more acute. The boards I had like this felt really quik edge to edge.
  3. I saw a decent alpine rider just once at the Heave but then realized I was enjoying the solitude so much I had caught up to myself on the next run.
  4. I had that exact Raceroom. Had a picture of a cow unloading midstance and the flex pattern of a 2X10. But seriously, 10K?
  5. Why do you think they call it the "UNDER" taker? Trimmed out at speed it cannot be seen. Trees aren't the goal on a bottomless day They're the commute
  6. Then the "best" powder stik is unavailable to you. Just the graphics of the Original Undertaker (198 cm) will leave poop in your diapers. Despite comments to the contrary this one is just fine in the trees but shines at speed in an open bowl.:D
  7. '89 Kemper Apex GS because 1) Although oft' neglected these past 10 years, still my first sweetheart and 2) I could most easily open coconuts with the no kick tail and 3) the Face on the tail to share the coconut-shine with and share exaggerated bigair/bigspeed/biggruum memories
  8. is the beer I'm referring to: a double IPA "Poetry of the hops"
  9. Don't be an arrogant bastard. Stone Brewery, of course. However the hop is a cousin to the cannabis; same genus (edit: family) I believe (Jack?) Many great beers here, some I must seek out. But there is one beer I can't get off my mind. Or my palate. Cause I have been Ruinated. RUINATION is a nation you'll want to explore. With your guys' palates this will be like a sledgehammer in the hands of a surgeon probably. If you're going to drink more than two, tie the bottles together cause you'll forget what you were doing after the second.
  10. Just when I thought the season was over and the hibernation begins- I read this! This is more exciting than a new Kessler on the classifieds. Kimo (chemo?) Ride strong and ride well, you have no idea how many lurkers are pulling for you! I try to keep my signal-to-noise ratio in check here but I just can't contain myself this time. Way to go
  11. Don't use the "H" word They're listening... I'll find you
  12. Looks like evil marketing genius to me. Guess it's time to take a look at those old boards I was going to make a light out of...
  13. Oh that's right, the Other Randy Does banned for life mean no chance of parole? PS WW "Epic" has been stricken from the halls of the Soulcarvers and usurped by those callous dweebs in the wannabe marketing Dept.
  14. That view of the Lake isn't possible from "the Ranch" So Alpine has a Retro day too?(edit DOH, that's a mudhole- you're rockin Rose now?) My Kemper fartbag isn't pink goretex... It's FLAMINGO Goes great with my Apex 170 the graphics that inspired my riding motto "Embrace the Face"
  15. I've been a fulltime carvingbum in Tahoe since 1984. Now I'm stuck in for the "50 year" storm and reading this stuff is proof that time machines exist and that carving was invented in my hometown. So was freestyle (first halfpipe at the garbage dump in T. C. etc.) for that matter. You guys rock. Sorry for the dribble.
  16. You took the hit so one of us won't have to, statistically speaking. I've done each fib (separately) and so I trust you will be better than new soon. Take the time to do the PT! Good Healing!
  17. That makes my Volant a metal schtubby?
  18. Cindy's free hot water mixed with free ketchup makes a wonderful (free) tomato soup for breakfast. try catsup and saltines for something completely different and wonderful(free) Mmmmmm, potassium catch me if you can
  19. Has anyone ever had a lasting repair on these old skool metals? I have a 162 and a 173 with "minor" delam issues resting in the shed until someone invents a good metal adhesive. I remember liking these rides very much. Keep us posted. We could always polish like divebomber's and make a cool lamp
  20. Life is a balance sheet. Perspective. If you "overpayed" by $50 and the Bombs have 1000 days left of functional utility Then you lost a nickle a day But you found BOL where over 4,000 members give their 2 cents every day (on average: there are about five guys here who's word is worth about 2 bucks and D-Sub makes up for the rest of the lurkers) SO That's about $80 a day less a nickle Dude, is that a TV between your legs or are just happy to be here? "Been caught stealin"
  21. that stick would make an awesome lamp... Bryan??
