do you trust that batmobile in the Tahoe sun?
when you coming back man, carving Tahoe is the best kept secret on the west coast right now
Cuban?
It's time
Hi Chris,
Put me in line per my e-mail.
Are those full wrap thermos or the ones with just the heel molds?
Are these as soft as everyone says?
Or were those just the white ones.
Thanks,
Tim
On a 165??
I'd pay a hundred bucks to see that
4 or 5 more of the Feb crew and maybe we can
turn Cuban into a short boarder.
He'd be scary on that thing no doubt.
Nice stiff, turny but stable platform for a 5-8 yr old.
I always wondered if the board came with these bindings- mine were the same.
He used ski boots and was great for two seasons of moderate use
but ripped the bindings out of the board when he was somewhere around 40-45 lbs.
Use only on the bunnys and inspect the binding interface before each ride.
Cool graphics fer shuur!
I think there is a world of difference other than nose profile between the new Madd and the NSR.
Attributing all to the nose belies the other thoughtful posts you have made here.
I remember getting my red team fps around '94-'95 season?
You're 1998 wasn't red unless you painted it?
Time to calibrate the way back machine Chumley?
So is that all you ride now because it is so much better?
A full metal jacket; all decambered?
Do you ever miss the loaded glass feel as some quite accomplished carvers here seem to?
Can a glass board be more fun sometimes if harder on the legs?
Maybe that's just nostalgia.
I benefit from a large quiver and truly never ride a board more than 2 or 3 times in a row.
I like adjusting to the different feedback of individual rides.
I don't like being "comfotable" too much on piste.
Doesn't mean I'm not occasionally solid.
"HUGE benefit for freecarving"
Maybe theoretically, yes.
But couldn't an inefficiently shaped nose add energy to the board?
Slower in the gates for sure, but where does that speed (energy) loss migrate to?
Just asking.
The Heave report today:
The season is extended two extra weeks ( 2 weekends past the original mid-April close)
18" of fresh, bluebird, windless.
And more sun than we need
Tahoe Quarterly just announced that Vail Corp has purchased Incline Village!
This is a more straight forward Real Estate endeavor that incorporates both Diamond Peak and the exclusive Incline Golf Course.
"We've been working on this for a long time" quoted a Vail spokesman. "We couldn't be more excited. Incline (village) is perfectly in line with our new client demographics. It will be a wonderful amenity to our Ritz (Northstar) clients who can travel back and forth without ever having to pass through Kings Beach."
Wow. What next?
