  1. Looks like we're expecting 2 to 4 FEET of snow in the mountains?
  2. Last year I got sling-shotted on a light day on a square-tail with a medium kite- Back foot out! Scared. Now it's just skis until I can secure a kite in mountain air and ride toe like I was born that way. Heal fast Heal well.
  3. For every one that made it to the sun there are four dreaming of it under a blanket of fog. Ed, Ned, Ted and Fred dreampt of Shred in bed. Shred the sled. Nice Pee-Jay, eh?
  4. Michelle, Tell Fin you've got a problem with your eyes and can't see getting in to work today. If you hang around much longer I'm gonna start asking about MY BTS...
  5. How stiff? For reference, I'm 195 and My PR186 WCC has good resistance and GS response at 7.1 I might consider this same length in a stiffer for SG Great choice methinks.
  6. I'll give you $200 if it's in As-New condition Seriously, Paul, Do you have any Hasbro Sticka's? This post will self destruct, of course, to cut down on the whining
  7. Hey does anyone know if these'll take Burton disks? Same spline? How about max weight, 150 lbs?
  8. Yesterday I rode in one of the top three most extreme conditions of my days. I realized right away that it wasn't going to be about the carve- it was going to be about survival. The other two times I wimped after an hour or two. Yesterday, I went from 8:59a to 1:30p with two stops, performing required tasks (throw a "tree-P", light a lighter, etc.) just to see if I could. Maybe my brain froze. It was -12 F(ambient) at the top of Dipper (Heavenly) and about 2 F at the top of Sky. With gusts to 50, Skyline trail was life threatening. The visibilty was from nil to 40 feet with the occasional hole in the clouds. Lessons learned: The snow at this temp is a perfect hybrid between sand and velcro- no glide. Your nose completely stops functioning somewhere between 2 and -5 F Saliva really does keep the goggs good Continual white-out scarving of a 186 PureRace leads to significant lactic retention in the front quad Beer is required ( see required tasks above) Some things are more fun to talk about
  9. Hey I'll give you more than $200 for one o' them burners...
  10. Damn you guys got some fine gear. Must spend alot of time and money keeping 'em that exquisitely tuned.
  11. You want cheap, used gear that you can lay it down on and that doesn't give you too much feedback. And it would seem your preference is to get it done orally.
  12. Does noone carve powder here? Take the raceboard Rob left at home Think Kris Kristofferson at the end of that "Star is Born" movie set to the drum choir in the beginning of Hawaii-5O- Now push that Ferrari 96% as hard as Kris. On the Uber-Plane you need only minute control inputs like the minimum deflection of control surface when the jet's wings are folded in. Carve on the top with just your toes. Weight more than your big toes and dive 2-4 feet below for huge porpoises. This is good practice for the breathless submarine recovery technique required for the unloading of excess air. If you only want one best way to hit Pow- this isn't it. If Bottomless is too rare to work on a third or seventh pow technique-forget this one. If there is no end to the spices you would consider in the consumption of Powder then add a short slalom stik to the truck next time- the gs stiks are tougher but if you like the short one there'll be no stopping you.
  13. Diver, Why would you author this thread and then behave like this? Go Donek 180 or go home.
  14. My old atomic "bumble bees" were highly touted in the early '80's because of the "bionic core"-wood and metal. They took me to a new level and made a true carver out of me. I bent them in the bumps- they stayed bent and even after "pro" attention (rebend) never rode well again. Ah, the memories. Anyone want to talk about the Hexcell honeycombs...
  15. Thanks Mike. I'm familiar with that chart and I have never fully understood the gist. I've heard different things too. So the 224 and the 423 are the same boot? (Soft) PS I've got nearly new 324 thermos (27-too soft) that I'd gladly trade for the Madd 158 that Bob said would be a fair trade. Heck, I'll throw in my worn out original white-walled Madd-170 to sweeten the pot. No really.
  16. If the first digit is the year and the last digit is the model then the 224's are 2 years older than the 423's and one notch stiffer.
  17. Wow, cool. If I don't hear from Moto on this one soon I'll PM you. Been looking for a reason to rail the Rose recently...
  18. I signed up for one set. Thanks-Tim
  19. I e-mailed you about 4 hole alu discs but I'll take the 3 holes please. Any toe bails? How about paypal? Thanks-Tim
  20. I'l take a set of 4 holes please. Paypal loaded. Also interested in a pair of toe bails? Thx-Tim
  21. What is it with people not recognizing a super deal? I bought a used pair for over a hundred and feel fine about it.
  22. Yeah, but Thor, think about how much you saved on Yami's plates and the 178 custom! I thought your computer was down.
  23. The red rubber extends through the metal base raising the baseplate above the board. There isn't anything missing.
