Only three snowfalls this winter here, so only three powder days that only last for maximum 48 hours because of the very strong winds or the rain......a globally bad season for the moment .......this year, you really had to be at the right place at the right time......Last Saturday morning March 7th's joy, worth the climbing for the run down....

PATIENCE , PATIENCE , and PATIENCE !..........but for less important other reasons than yours Barryj !......... Only 2 snowfalls here in the whole winter till now !.....and only 2-3 days left after each snowfall for "good" snow conditions...............and I'm generous !...... Then strong rain or very warm weather followed by cold foggy nights that we don't even remember what carving on corduroy is..... You just hope you got sticky rubber band socks on or a dentist that made you a strong filling or you may lose it on such a boilerplate snow we got here !......

Would be interested in a back to back review with one of the planks your board is laying against.......................just to be sure.....!!!

Looks like you guys had had tons of turns and tons of fun in a very friendly ambiance............ Looking at this photo album put a smile on my face and make me wish we had such of an event like this over here.....Thanks for sharing !

My 2014 163 REV (20 cm waist) was my first metal board......Waow !.......Previously had a 2006 glass 171 FC (18cm waist)..... Well........no comparaison of course !..........I ended selling the latter !..... Stock REVs are race orientated, large variable SCR.... Proteus are more poppy freecarve orientated with a stock fixed SCR.... When I bought my REV i was hesitating with a proteus....but my REV has was a fixed 11,5 SCR prototype and I wanted a race construction feeling........ I do get now both of both worlds under my feet.......Like a race construction feeling mixed with a turny and predictable Cadillac ride.... But take care, even with a short turny radius, the REV stays a race kind of board that want some input to give you some reward but waow.....with the right amount of it......very fun board, great edge hold, that can also be a freecarving board if you're not too lazy.... If Looking towards a Donek ride, talk to Sean, he's the man, and knows his boards better than anyone of us here, depending on his customer's desires....You cannot go wrong with him......Have fun carving the hell of it !....

Apparently made in Poland, I just saw it written on one of their boards yesterday in the shop.....That was on a special edition board, soft boot "carving" Bullet Train Plus model.... Pretty decent construction quality but nothing impressive. Medium/hard longitudinal flex. Nice minimalist look and marketing...........! The board seems to have a metal layer underneath the topsheet.....Titanal or not ?......website says "Titanium" (!!!.......) Judging buy the price and the "noise " when knocking the board, it finally doesn't look so damp like a true Titanal layer can be....but I might be wrong as I didn't try that board.......I'm just judging by the look and the hand. To be honest, I'm not drooling about that kind of board.......It is of course, a totally personal point of view.

Minimalist and barefoot runner here, but never barefoot in snowboard boots. I use knee-high toe socks and modified toe box liner for more toes splay and for more warmth.

Stop. Look back, look back and re-look back again..... Wait if necessary........wait even if not really necessary.... By doing this, you may carve less runs down today, but good chance you'll still be able to carve some more tomorrow..... Then repeat......!!!!!
