  1. Soooo.... did anyone try this?
  2. Driver X have been my favorite boots since they first came out. Switched to old Scarpa tall powerwrap style liners several years ago. I think they were made by Palau back then. Added a custom powerstrap to them to have them tight around my leg. It stiffened the Driver X a lot, while having a better progressive forward flex. Changed the Driver X a few times since, but still use the same liner in them. Probably changing to one of the Intuition Powerwraps (don't know which one yet) before the end of season, because the Scarpas are pretty much dead now. Never going back to using the stock Burton liners.
  3. Where the hell did I claim they were better? And I stick to my statement. There are more positive posts and discussions about sofboots on here in the last few months than there used to be, and they are not moved to a generic sub-forum anymore.
  4. Neither am I, that's for sure. But I have seen many who are on here over the years... ;) The opposite is also true, of course. Many softbooters hating on hardboots. Pretty funny to see some of them now posting on FB all the articles on Ledeska the "snowboarder" beating the skiers at their own game, when not so long ago the same guys were calling hardbooters skiers... LOL
  5. One thing is for sure, minds sure have become more open about softboots on the bomber forums. Not so long ago, the mere mention of them in a title had the discussion moved to the off topic forum, or something like that... LOL
  6. If the damage is in the back of the box, that would be from accelerating and not braking... ;)
  7. Pretty interesting interview with Ted Martin by Mike Ranquet on the whole ISF - FIS thing, and the 1998 Olympics.
  8. They are all designed for all-mountain riding. But it all depends on what your main focus and conditions will be. The Blunt Diamond has the most taper and setback and will be a better choice for deep pow in tight trees. The Diamond Blade is for groomers with occasional pow days. The Hammerhead is the Blunt's big brother: a bit less taper and setback, more speed, more stability, more float, more edge hold. The Lifer has something from all of them. It's the one I ride most often these days when I don't know what to expect from the conditions.
  9. Yeah! That would be them! Stan had neon Zinc on his nose all weekend. We kind of made fun of him a little because of it... :) I think it was called "Fédération de Surf des Neiges du Québec" back then. It was run by Pierre Vérot and Marc Limoges.
  10. Could have been winter of 89, maybe? It was at Belle Neige. I will check tonight. I brought back a box of old stuff from home at Christmas, and there's paperwork in there from it. There should be a date on it. Yeah, getting old sucks!!! Haaa! Haa! Ha!
  11. That brings back memories! I was part of the very first class of Quebec instructors (1990?). My buddy Benny and I had the highest passing grades. As I remember, I think I was one of the rare ones there using hardboots (Kastinger ski mountainering boots). Used a custom SIN board and plates made by Lofo. The two guys from the Federation "teaching" us were definitely not on hardboots. One of them might have been named Stan? I think the dude that started Snowboard Canada Mag was there too that weekend. He was on a Burton M6 but with Flex bindings and softboots I think. Can't remember his name...
  12. Thanks for the props Carl !!! And triax top and bottom on all boards for Fullbag.
  13. Those are the specs of the Diamond Blade. The Blunt Diamond is a whole different beast...
  14. Wider and shorter. Don't know about the flex.
  15. A 2013 (or so) Venture Euphoria is as close as you are going to get to that shape.
  16. I have yet to see any other snowboarder promote the use of pot as much as him. He is selling pot paraphernalia under the brand Ross' Gold Glass. His instagram feed is full of pics of him smoking doobies and using bongs. Pretty sure he was stoned at the olympics... LOL
  17. Don't really follow that scene, but the only proven pot head snowboarder at the olympics was an alpine racer, if I remember correctly... ;)

  22. Niiiiice!!! Whenever you are ready for the other boards, let me know...

  24. My buddy @RouleRicard doing some night riding on one of our Fullbag boards.
  25. Thanks @BlueB! New graphics only on this one. No change in specs.
