My Fullbag boards are better?!? ?? But honestly, I haven't seen one in real life yet. On paper, some models look interesting to me and from what I have heard, they are on the stiffer side. I would have probably bought a couple to try if I didn't do my own gig. But the one thing I don't like, is that they seem to do the same board over and just change the nose and tail shape. Several models/lengths seem to have the same specs for nose/tail/waist width, sidecut, setback, taper, etc...

The Gentemstick Rocket Fish has been around for longer. And at 145cm with a 29.4cm waist if that is not short and fat, I don’t know what is! ? Always loved that pic of Tom!!! Still have that catalog!

Through all your posts on this thread you seemed to emphasize more width, shorter, more playfullness, and tighter / more manoeuverable. So I would say Supernaut.

I have been following the snowsurf scene for many years, and I definitely think the short-fat movement/trend was influenced by what was happening in Japan. The american brands just picked up on it and adapted it to their market. Gentemstick, Moss Snowstick, and other smaller brands, have been doing relatively small boards with waist width 26cm and over for awhile. It might not seem that wide nowadays, but the average boot size in Asia is not what it is in North America and Europe.

I beg to differ. it's a known fact that anyone with at least one Fullbag (board) is much happier than everybody else... ??

I would maybe give it a try if they sold the front truck only. Not paying $470 for a setup that comes with generic wheels, bearings, rear truck, and a flat deck. I'll stick with my slalom setups, at that price. They feel a whole lot more like snowboard carving than any "surfskate" setup can.

Yeah, I have 3 pairs and absolutely love them (2013, 2014, 2015). Only other binding I use is the Now Drive on my bigger boards. Switched the anklestraps on the 3 of them for Burton Hammockstraps, and put 2015 Slimebacks on the 2013 baseplates (broke one of the original hibacks in a collision with a buddy). I would love to give the new anklestraps a try. They look like they would be better then all the previous versions.

Oui, sûrement que ça doit aider. Pratiquement tous les habitués du podium en snowboard, le fonds avec des boards pas mal long (170 à 185 cm), et généralement swallowtail (Fullbag, Winterstick, Dynastar/Osin, etc..). Et y a aussi des bèches spectaculaires à chaque année... En parlant de ski nautique, y avait une traversée aller-retour du fleuve St-Laurent à l'époque qui se faisait Baie-Comeau-Matane-Baie-Comeau, me semble (je ne sais pas si ça existe encore). Ils avaient des méchantes longues palettes sous les pieds pour faire de la longue distance en mer agitée.

Val d'Irène, dans la vallée de la Matapédia. Paradis de la poudreuse, pas de neige artificielle, 100% neige naturelle. L'évènement s'appelle l'Aqua-Neige et en était à sa 42ième édition annuelle. Une traversée de 213 pieds normalement, mais y manquait un peu d'eau dans le lac cette année, dû au froid qui a ralenti la fonte. Fullbag y a fait le podium quelques fois depuis sa "naissance". La première femme a avoir réussi à traverser le lac sur un snowboard, l'a fait sur un Fullbag Hammerhead 181. Selon les conditions, c'est pas rares de voir des vitesses autour des 100 km/h en snowboard dans le bas de la piste avant le lac (mesuré par un radar de police). A few questions as I am very interested in trying this myself: 1- What did you use for the plastic strips? 2- Are they stiffer then those supplied by Vans in some of their boots? 3- What glue did you use to bond them to the tongue? 4- Was the donor tongue from the same model boot or something different? 5- And was it from a bigger size boot or similar to your own? I am using the 2018 Driver X with Scarpa Plus Fit High (wrap style) liners with custom made wide power straps to keep the liner stiffer and snug to my shins. Flex is close to perfect on colder days, but they become way to soft on warmer days. Even when cranking the laces uncomfortably way too tight. I think a custom add-on tongue similar to yours would be the perfect solution.

C'est en développement mais c'est pas pour tout de suite. Y a un client qui a acheté un Blunt Diamond et l'a splité lui-même, avec un excellent résultat. Il est extrêmement satisfait.

C'est notre version d'un "daily driver" directionnel. Elle est semi-short et semi-fat, flotte très bien dans la poudre et la largeur permets de carver sur le damer sans que les bottes accroches trop facilement. Très manoeuvrable. Légèrement plus souple en torsion et en longueur que nos autres planches dû à un profile de noyau qui aminci légèrement entre les deux pieds. Elle est plus "joueuse", sans trop de perte en prise de carre. Planche plus polyvalente que nos autres modèles, elle permets de rider switch plus facilement, de sauter sur les bords de piste, de slasher, de carver, etc... À sa toute première journée sur neige, notre premier client du Supernaut a remporté la première place chez les 35-45 ans dans le bank slalom du Snowmission. Il nous a dit que c'était carrément son meilleur board à vie! LOL!!! La 2ième place des 18-35 ans est allée à un gars sur le Lifer. Par rapport au Blunt plus spécifiquement, bin ça dépends vraiment de ce que tu veux faire avec, et de ta pointure de bottes.
