He gave a bit more info on his design in this vid, talking about the differences with traditional snowboards, with the T-rice reverse sidecut Lib Tech board, etc...

Streetcore is just as good as all the best Clash albums. A masterpiece, as far as I am concerned.

Some surfboard shapers are now offering snowboard influenced designs, with sidecut and some tail flex to power out of turns... http://www.mackiesurfboards.com.au/boards/sidecut-fish/

Check out the older (2013?) Venture Euphoria and Snowy Owl. Designed by legend Johan Olofsson to be ridden with or without bindings.
  5. Wow!!! Thanks a lot @Poloturbo!!! I am really honored!
  6. And another forum member (me) does these ones, designed and made in Canada. https://fullbag.com/collections/snowsurfs
  7. Term comes from skateboarding, and that's exactly what it means... LOL
  8. This pretty much all applies to me as a softbooter, and how I design my boards. The exceptions are I don't care about bridging with "technical" skiing, and I still skateboard like that every dry off-season day since 1975. ?
  9. Hey Curt! Heard there's a small chance for a small race in Antrim next summer. Hope to see you there If it materializes! As far as this thread, I am sorry I can't partake as I have not put on hardboots or ridden an alpine board for the past 25 years or so... ?
  10. I like very thin socks for snowboarding, that's why I switched to the Universals.
  11. Haaa! Haa! Ha! Naaaah! Got the nickname 28 years ago when I moved here (Quebec City). All the dudes I rode with had short nicknames, so they shortened my first name to the first 3 letters. Their way to make me feel welcomed and accepted, I guess... It has stuck ever since. Even my family uses it now... LOL
  12. Speaking of, I designed a 180 cm board about 18 years ago that was part of a company's freeride line. My nickname inspired them to call that line the Supersonics (if I remember correctly) and put a russian MiG as the graphic on my 180... LOL
  13. No, used these at first: https://ec3dsports.com/ca_en/compression-twist-socks-bkg Now using these: https://ec3dsports.com/ca_en/universal-compression-socks-bk And Mig is a diminutive for my full first name... LOL
  14. A lot less foot and calf fatigue. Improved arch support a lot. Makes my boot/liner combo even more comfortable. I have big calves, and I can feel the support they bring. I also keep them on for the ride home and it helps a lot with recuperation. No tired lower legs and feet after a riding session.
  15. I have been using EC3D compression socks for snowboarding for several seasons now, and can't picture myself using anything else in the future. I also use them for skateboarding. They make a world of difference for me.
  16. I'd rather pump or carve, but downhil. It's the closest feeling to snowboarding, as it is gravity based too. I am too much of a lazy fat bastard to pump on flat or uphill... ?

    The Shred Baron

Ted Shred!!! I remember for sure! I was already riding for 3 or 4 years when I first saw it around 1983. It was my first time seeing action footage of someone snowboarding, outside my local crew. I passed in front of a booth at a ski industry show in Montréal that had a TV on (I think it was Salomon) showing this on a loop, with other ski clips. I stood there and watched it over and over and over and over. Could not leave. Nothing else was of interest in that ski show on that day... ? I still have it on a VHS tape that has additional footage from the same time period by Jake Burton and a couple other riders. I think they were Andy Coughlan and Doug Bouton. Can't remember...
  19. Since @slopestar isn't selling his anymore, here is a link to the info page on our website: https://fullbag.com/pages/diamond-blade You will find pics of different views of the board with the latest graphic on this one: https://fullbag.com/collections/snowsurfs/products/diamond-blade-163-b
  20. Found the last part of the Northern Rage VHS on YouTube. Victoria Jealouse is listed in the credits for the freecarving part. The guy is Fritz Hartman. So @FrankNBeans, you were right. And @LeeW, you finally found your footage of her... LOL
  21. Wasn't Tara's husband Jerry Masterpool (Cross M), and not Mike? And sorry about the confusion. My comment was about the Northern Rage VHS part that @FrankNBeans posted. I did check the VHS cover box and half the names of the riders and bands are hidden by the sponsors logos. But from what was visible, no hints of it being Victoria Jealous, Tara Eberhard or otherwise...

Inflammable Material is such a great album!!!
  23. I think I still might have the original VHS. I'll try to check both rider's names on the box as soon as I have a minute to go through the boxes of tapes.
