  1. John has agreed to run X through his training process. I figured let’s do a before, during and after. here’s the before taken on 1/24/21 Current setup - Donek Talon, TD2 SI @ 65-60, UPZ ATB’s
  2. It was the normal early season at Big Mountain in the 90’s. Foggy, rime, just below freezing. The scarf I was wearing froze to the chair behind me. As we unloaded, I was pulled around taking out my two fiends that rode up with me. The lifty stopped the chair just as I cleared the the opposite side of the wheel and I was dropped face first in the snow. Only 4 people saw it, but I will never live it down!
  3. Lol! Snowburn can take it. I have an 8rw and an XC that will be coming of the press this weekend. Mark wanted to send me this Super to demo, just curious as to what it is.
  4. What’s the flex index #? It the 3 digit # on the side wall.
  5. That would be the MCC poster child. Xavier Dahlquist! and no, I don’t mind West.
  6. I may require an ambulance ride after I demo this!
  7. Judging by the images in the patent, they look like the OS1’s, not OS2’s
  8. Sean conceived the idea for the Talon to entice up and coming racers. Just over $1k for a tailor made board, boots and bindings (take advantage of the discounts by bundling the three) is one hell of a deal for what you get. yes, you could spend less by buying used. The issue with that is your weight. I have the same problem, good used gear that will work for lighter riders is rare and in most instances, expensive.
  9. The talon is a very friendly board. Single radius side cut, quite a bit of pop if you load the tail up. Has the huge benefit of Sean and company’s experience to make an inexpensive, very fun board. About the only downside is it does not like chopped up runs. I’d suggest giving them a call to see if it’s a good fit for you.
  10. You might want to look at the Donek Talon if you have a tight budget. $485 for a brand spanky new board built just for you is a hard thing to pass up! X has one. It’s been phenomenal.
  11. How has this not sold yet?! If it was regular, I’d pick it up for Xavier (and me )!

    What’s the recommended rider weight?
  13. Old man, cranky-pants chihuahua is not for sale. He only loves me and just puts up with every one else in the family. If he’s never seen you before, he will try and take you out from the ankles!
  14. Sidewall notes. T169 VSR XT AM 012 AW1 6.7+5.5 REG ASYM CORE 20cm waist. Built for roughly a 180lbs rider. Is a titanal board. Al Worley had this made as a travel board prior to the Aangry Would like to trade for a 160-170 forgiving, flexible carver built for a 150lbs rider. I will throw in a pair of short plate OS2 stepins to sweeten the deal if the trade is right. keeping it for X-man
  15. Xavier and I are signed up, still need to figure out how to pay for it - COVID took care of my wife’s job so disposable income is pretty meager at the moment
  16. X and i purchased ours before the outbreak. We both put in enough days before closing that next year is free! With any luck our little hill will be back up and running next season.
  17. Taken from F2’s website “Snowboard Hardboots ISO Standard SIZES M: 21,5 - 27,5 L: 28,0 - 31,0”
  18. Best run by far was watching Xavier link 2 carves in a row. After he stopped, he let out a huge victory yell and I swear the top of his head was going to fall off his smile was so big!
  19. @zipfit as a sponsor. Especially if they are able to get the new alpine snowboard liner finished by then.
  20. Demoed the Stranda Cheater 170 - Loved this thing! It would be fantastic in the powder, crud, and anything in between. Lots of pop and high energy. Demoed the Rad-Air 170. The conditions that I rode it in were not what this board was intended for - very firm. When on edge it rails hard, but it’s like you are on a watermelon seed the rest of the time, kinda does whatever it wants. Would like to try this in some powder and softer snow to really give it a proper shake down. Thirst 8RW- what can I say, it’s damn near perfect! Coiler 169 VSR - love hate relationship with this lady. On soft snow, crud and powder, she is amazing. On firm/ice I’m on the struggle bus from hell and I can’t wait to get off it and on the 8WR. wanted to try this year, but could not- thirst PC thirst SF Thirst XC any kinda Skwal Donek Talon
  21. And the boards were all hung in the shed with care in the hopes that COVID 19 soon would be clear... screws all loose and storage wax
