After reading some posts on the Half a Run thread I’ve realized that I might have a problem with my ruts. They are too big, like, embarrassingly large ruts. High G turns really get me going so I try to put as much umph into each turn as I can do I always end up displacing tons of snow and bleeding speed. On top of that, my humongous ruts are a nuisance to the public and scar up the hill.
I tried super stiff boards but I can still taco those boards like it’s Tuesday. Any suggestions? Long side cuts? Race shapes? Help a brother and his big ruts out!
Is that the place that sells the 24” slice? We ordered a bunch to the hospital a few weeks ago thinking we were getting normal pizzas. Hilarity ensued when we opened the boxes to comically large Paul Bunyan slices in there
The dulce and gabana crowd are out in full force with their vile crotch goblins. Things are starting to get a little firm but hopefully this storm will freshen things up.
My front knee gets beat up, my rear ankle gets beat up. I don’t think it’s from chilling on the lift and skating around though. It’s definitely from the ungodly beating I unleash on them on the way back down.
No that’s kinda boring to me. I’ll session a run a few times and move on but try to spice it up differently each time. Whatever makes you happy, man. Don’t overthink it. Some like to explore, some like to session.
I did ride the same lift 16 times yesterday but that was for powder. I’d gouge my eyes out before running the same groomer 16 times.
Both Vail and Beav are prime right now. Lots of early snow. Don’t tell your friends. I can’t stress enough how good it is right now. Never mind, It’s awful, such a far drive, I hear it gets crowded, vail resorts sucks, the quesadillas are $25
I can now attest that mountain biking is the best summer training I’ve ever done. No gym just ride. Also got a single speed to really beat my legs into submission. Usually I get 2-3 runs on the first day of the season but today I did 7 uninterrupted and felt like I could do more. Most excellent.
I would love to try one of those. Looks like a blast. I can’t see where the bars would be any more of a danger than a mountain bike crash. Although we did just get a guy in a few days ago that managed to insert his mountain bike handle 5cm into his thigh….
