  1. @Puhutes any plans on a step-in compatible model?
  2. Thanks @loopback. I will take them @Gadwood74. PM'd you.
  3. Will be fun getting those trophies home!
  4. Amazing photo Dave - the way that 8R (and your back foot) is buried in that cold wave it could be a surf shot. Knowing your use of the Fuego method I'm sure that front binder overhang is nothing like it looks either.
  5. I use plumbers thread tape on the bail to stop water wicking down the threads and accumulating inside the lug. No doubt threadlock would do the same, but you can still easily adjust a taped bail if need be.
  6. 162SF, 149 EE, comparative scr 10.4 (asym). 6'3 (191cm). Works a treat.
  7. specs same page, 3 posts up brother @lonbordin
  8. I had to get TD3 long plates for my M29 T700 to allow boot centering (std plates will take the M29, but right at the limit). Stiffness wise, I think Deeluxe goes 425, T700, 325
  9. must be one of the few boards you have not owned @1xsculler !!
  10. Not about your boots! But if one brand outlasts another by a factor of 2 ( or more) suddenly the price point difference is less of an issue.
  11. Fun indeed. One of the most surprising things is its ability to make longer, open carves with ease - it aint no one-trick pony.
  12. Dave they are asym - average around 10.4. Love mine.
  13. Walker at Bomber is always helpful - hit him up (https://bomberonline.3dcartstores.com/ or PM @forrest) and he may able to sort somthing out.
  14. Maybe the 2ft of snow in last 72hrs is not agreeing with the $100 JHR steak? I'd give GTR a go skuller - they would have more snow and Teton Thai make a cheap (but excellent) WahWahman soup
  15. Great shot @bigwavedave - looks like a tasty little roller at the top & again under the chair. Carve on!
  16. ^ this is interesting. I am yet to saddle up a contra, but the 2 skates comment is reminisant of some of those mainstream manufacturers proprietry edge profiles (NS ripsaw, LT magnetraction etc). They seem to work 'ok', but I hate the way they feel under foot - just plain annoying when riding low edge angles. I certainly don't get that kind of feedback from my Thirst; it folds the whole edge into the flex seamlessly, as opposed to my Nirvana which faithfully rides the part of its sidecut you ask it to. I love both, but it would take some convincing for me to trade either for a 'two skates feel'. Someone (carvin marvin?) mentioned the contra felt like his coiler and thirst got busy and had a red haired step child - could be the full Bayview voodoo is yet to be fully 'decoded'. Does the segmented 'wogo' sidecut have that skatey nuance?
  17. Possible the second buckle is contacting & releasing it Barry?
  18. Bomber advise against it and say ' do at your own risk' - I did ask Walker about it once and he gave me a logical enough answer to stop me in my tracks with that exercise; can't quite remember the exact details, but think it may be something to do with the BP lower centers not being designed to deal with the board flexing under them and possibly deforming enough to disengage the teeth and allowing the cant to turn. They are a LOT thinner.
  19. Top is stock TD3 lower (cant) and elastomer, bottom is thinner Boiler Plate lower and elastomer
