  1. have you checked out Phantom Boots? https://www.phantomsnow.com
  2. Winterstick Daydreamer w Ti in process, to desired flex and width.
  3. I have one pair of RS/F2’s and multiple pairs of F2/Ti’s. For my Donek Hazelwood and Prior AWD (powder & all mt ‘boards) I do a toeLever front foot (Ti) and RS step-in for backfoot. I just love the step-in, gotta have it. re: Flex, it’s more about boots than bindings. my freeride/pow boots are Deeluxe 325’s, a shell size big w thickest high volume Intuition Luxury liners, and not so tight buckles. In powder falls (not very often) I find it easier to get rear foot out first w finTec, then toe lever front once rear foot is free. YMMV!
  4. ..skipping ‘Targhee?! (jk) pretty darn good here, considering limited snow everywhere else. If you get highway hypnosis or need pitstop, let me know, I’ll leave a light & iron on!!
  5. It’s always good in SV for groom/carving. currently, it’s plenty good enough with all the snowmaking they do, plus best grooming equipment. maybe JerryH will chime in (he lives there). when are you going?
  6. CB, I’d love to try your PC for a run/two. I live in Idaho/Targhee and work for UT company. You ever up this way? I just ordered my first thirst. rff. Kibber/8016966754.
  7. the beanie helmet has good specs! for zero fog, decent ventilation, and nice integrated blue-tooth ph/audio add on, not to mention high intimidation, go RuRoc !! ..the chin piece is optional/removable. I answered a work call at top of chair in the wind “in the office”.
  8. after a freak head-banger concussion last year (maybe 3rd in 30+ years) I bought a Smith Icon mips race helmet, luv it. A real brain bucket! I like RuRoc Helmets, too.
  9. what Wolf said. And I have a same-lookin pair of these w one broken toe lever if you want to purchase set—not parting out, and selling because you’re looking; otherwise, I would not be selling to anyone who thinks these bindings are as safe as current options, ie: F2 or Bomber, etc. ..I also have a 4x4 or 3-hole burton cant.
  10. Anybody driving from Kalispell to Libby Sunday afternoon ? 2:30pm arriving flight, 1 person, 2 bags, None ‘boards. All set once in Libby. for L.Smith.
  11. a ferrier wedge (2° or 3°) goes between ea binding and board for front toe lift and/or rear heel lift* *requires drilling holes (3x or 4x pending disc type) and longer 6mm hardware w locktite. —some solutions (like this) are old school, going back to us 80’s and 90’s + hardcore tinker’ers !! consider it an R&D step and be looking for a good deal on a pair of F2’s. Happy Carving 2023
  12. until you score a deal on F2 Bindings, the fastest/cheapest wedges for toe/heel lift on your burton plates are these (link); requires trip to fastener aisle for longer 6mm screws and locktite. https://www.stockhoffsonline.com/acatalog/Castle-Plastics-Oval-Wedge-Pad.html#SID=395
  13. ..or go “OG” wedges until you find a deal on F2’s and do the horse-hoof wedges for toe/heel lift.
  14. consider a lower volume 28 liner. ie: intuition race plug 28 in your 28 shells I’m in similar situation (26) My stiff combo is 25.5 Upz rcr w 25.5 race plug liner/intuition. My all mt (soft) combo is Deeluxe325 26.5 w 26.5 MediumVolume (Intuition Luxury Liner MV).
  15. If you want to try Grand Targhee on your way up, let me know.
  16. For carving I vote Brighton over Solitude, and check out the Milly side. For a pow/all mountain day, Solitude-Honeycomb canyon. Have Fun, give my bro JohnOconnor a shout, he’s at Brighton a lot on a white Kessler’68.
  17. I preOrdered these and I have about ten days on them (luv’em). With just a small center screw securing tongue (no hinge action, just flex) it’s a hassle getting foot in, so I immediately swapped for the side-hinge tongues (stiff silver)…the extra strip of buckle teeth just ghost ride w 4-buckle design. The gray forward spring is actually same as stiff orange (if anyone’s wondering); I asked Dan to be sure. I switched to UPZ from Deeluxe 5 yrs ago (RC10’s) for all the personal reasons discussed “here” ie: narrow feet, skinny ankles, better heel hold. I also go down a shell size and use intuition race plug liners. The thinner liners make the FinTec Heel Cable cause pressure/pain over ankle, so I stripped the lower 4” of cable housing.
  18. As first, but surely not last, to reply with preferences for your soft-boot carving considerations, my quest for best boots (two years ago) ended with RIDE Trident boots; definitely worth checking out in your quest: https://ridesnowboards.com/en-us/p/trident-snowboard-boots ..with Flow NX2 Bindings. Ultimately, I'm not a soft-booter for any riding. I have different flex versions of Deluxe and UPZ Boots to go with various stiffer/forgiving plate bindings. A $$$ journey of sorts ; )
  19. weather_nerd While on your way to mcc, If/when you get close to the Tetons / ‘Targhee, gimme a shout. I live here, would love to hook up w another hardbooter; I’m the only local carver! and mcc bound, too. (KibD8016966754)
  20. I heard a new question (to me) on Friday from a kid, “Is that a tele-board?”
  21. NBD = New Donek Day. MCC 2022 inspired, after demo runs on The 170 Pulse, I ordered this shape w “secret” layup, 18cm waist, and flex for my weight.
  22. Slabber-Yes, I did get a reply. msg sent 1/3 and received reply 1/4. Kibber
  23. I need to double check ; ) I wanted the FinTec’s and do recall getting a reply that a deal was already happening.
