  1. That will align nicely with a fun crew. It will be hard to pry me away from Buttermilk and Snowmass as Buttermilk is like perfect Lower Trestles with only a few guys in the water. 7th -12th for us. Will be driving from Glenwood Springs daily. We park at Milk and shuttle wherever we go for the day
  2. It’s a fence picket with coaxial wire holders. I change the screws out to 1 1/4” coarse thread drywall screws and adjust to fit. Boards work pretty well too but I just use m6 to mount bindings to them
  3. The new smaller DO was quite a pleasant surprise. Nimble, proportional input to output. Rides easy until you push. 2nd day on snow this season and given enough input to the board, it could out turn me. really fun. The 165 DO is on Ice/ in the plastic. cant wait to get on the new AZX. That said. If someone wants to sherpa a few boards to Montucky from CO, I could send a DO and an AZX as well as the Hermes/ Now know as the Viper. More of a flatland Butter/ground trick/carver. about time. 23.5 max is a tease...

  5. 3 new Alloys hit the quiver last week. DO 165, AZX 163 and DO 161. Snuck in a day at Winterpark on my old faithful DO165. Cant wait to get the new AZX and the smaller but stiffer flex 161 DO up on the hill.

    Yo Lci!!

Bummer Sandy with the weak scan. You have first pitcher at the Rathskellar
  8. Boards get: cleaned with citrus based cleaner. bindings removed or seriously loosened. sharpened edges/base/ boards that have seen a lot of days especially spring snow, leave base imperfections. I will wet sand with a block, using 800-1200gri (poor man's base grind) Storage wax- all temp wax chalked on using hot Iron and bar Then heated tip to tail, then tail to tip Scrape, buff, ride of course add or tighten bindings
  9. Changed this Post. Too late 3 boards on the way just for me. Too bad so sad AZX and DO’s!

    Yo Lci!!

Ya, if I had volunteered to grab it, probably wouldn't ever make it there... Those specs were right up my alley.
  11. Good call! Last year after the first day we got aspen hate mail for not making a reservation. The drive to and from Glenwood won't be much fun but the hot springs... cant wait!
  12. Katie and I just booked our annual pilgrimage to Aspen! Yasu, B. Free and others have opted to do the extended trip! Dates are Feb 7-16. That group already secured lodging while we decided to keep it on the super cheap and are staying in Glenwood Springs from Feb 7 to Feb 12. I'll have all the softy boards from Alloy with me. Hope to see you all! Follow the trenches.... You will have a tough time pulling me away from Buttermilk, but we also plan to grab a day at Sunlight and Possibly Ski Cooper on Monday on the way home.
  13. Beats wavy gravy edge technology and banana hammock camber profile
  14. Small sidecut radii on most production boards I think are terrible. My opinion... as most are sub 10m. Why not go custom or at least find the sweet niche boards like Rad-Air to ride? I do love my Alloy boards and will have a couple new boards here in the next week that I will post in the New Board Porn thread. I think Custom is the way to go as most of us have done this for a long time and work hard enough to enjoy boutique/custom rides. For me, I really have found my sweet spot (for now) with high end production boards. The AZX I ride from alloy is a 163 with a 26 waist and a 14.6m radius and the DO Model i have ridden for several seasons (with small tweaks each season) Is a 165 with an average radius of 12.5 m at 26 waist. This season I am down-sizing to a 161/ we will see. Might have to grab last seasons 165. This is what pushes me to the opinion thta custom is where its at. My new AZX is going to become my new go to this year.
  15. Sorry to hear Jack. really working on the no touch touch. remember, Don't pat the dog looking good as always!
  16. i use my extra gun lock's
  17. better make time for a Sunday with the LCI
  18. join us in Aspen. it really doesn't get any better. Group house... February
  19. I have two different camber profile 165 Alloy DO's. one has decamber/nose & tail rocker and one without. The decamber board is more friendly and playful while the full camber is the one I prefer. Its happiest in the back seat on heelside espcially exiting a turn. 13.5/105/11.5 Can be a handful in some conditions but i like the energy on the exit that the smaller tail radius provides in good carving conditions.
