  1. I’m 210 lbs and am running the yellows in step ins.( I also have standard SW which I run with blue e pads) I seem to be gravitating to more flexible bindings, maybe because I’m 65 years young/ old now? Using Suzukas with yellow BTS. Also like the F2 Carve RS binding. Carving angles 60-65* front 57-53* rear. There seems to be some riders who like the stiffer binders and some who like more flexible. That said I’m not done experimenting either. Seems if you run higher angles or Skwal lateral movement would not be good. The yellows in cold weather also shrink and get a little free play in them which is kind of freaky, but has been no problem for me. Are you using stepin or standard? The flexibility seems to give a smoother ride in bumpier conditions. I also used to think that a stiff binding was needed to get the board high on the edge, but I don’t have a problem with getting the board to hook up. I’ve ridden with very good riders who run stiffer and softer bindings, so might be a personal preference thing.I also think canting is less critical when you have lateral play in your binding. You could also shim the yellows to “ preload” them a bit.
  2. Hi Geof, i have a 2000ish?167 MLY that is 22.5 wide with a 10m sidecut in great shape if you want to try that. Just for shipping costs. If it doesn’t work you can ship it back. Not sure if shipping is a breaker to the Yukon? Ill sends some pics if you want. Thanks Ron
  3. Great news! Nice video Gabe. I was more impressed with his walking than riding, only because I was already impressed by his riding.
  4. I’m using the stepins. I haven’t weighed them ,but they are significantly lighter. Take care.
  5. Poppycock! I’m North of 200lbs and have used the CarveRS for several years no problem. I think the flexible base absorbs stresses. I would rate them a little more flexible than the Sidewinder ( I ride both ).
  6. Thanks! Good to know. These are my favorite goggles. Can’t seem to get the good ebay deal, but will keep trying!
  7. Here’s a sticker my buddy John made up. Sums it up. We also love groomer days. Power days are great, but it seems like every powder day is an aggrofrenzy. Also ,good carving days remain smooth much longer than pow days . It’s all about the smooth. (Except for mister bumpy ride). ?
  8. Corey, What lens’s did you get,or how do you figure out which ones are good for flat light or sunny days?
  9. True. There is some technique involved and every once in a while I get the dreaded can’t step in cause of snow/ ice build up which is usually followed by a few choice words. The best is to click in while still on the chair and just ride off.
  10. I’m also a hardboot pow guy. I’ve been softening the flex of my Suzukas with softer springs on the BTS. Used to ride with red cranked down, now on yellows with a lot more travel. I find I like it both for carving and pow now. Along with a flexy binding, like a F2 Intec Carve ,my pow stick is a pretty smooth ride. Plus step ins rule on powder days.
  11. Thank you Thank you Thank you. Not as good a deal as what Redman got. Hilarious is not how I would have described it. Glad to see at least some of you Montuckians have some moral character:) Have a good summer and hope to see you soon. Rocketman
  12. Wow Sean! Have you been working out? That looks like a smile on your face too. Living Large in Full Effect!!
  13. Miss you guys too Goose. Thanks for all the replies. Good info. Going to look at some Superfeet for my work shoes.
  14. Same thing here. Maybe he’s sharpening the saw.
  15. I’ve evolved to 55* front and 40* rear, 6* lift with No cant on front 3 or 4* with 1 F2 inward cant on rear . I’m using SW standard in front and F2 Intec RS in rear. How wide is you Nomad? I’m riding a 24.5 wide Undertaker and on harder snow it feels big/ wide. That all goes away in the pow. I ride very similar angles on my 20 cm wide Nirvana.
  16. Al, Sorry to hear about Beth. Hope she’s doing better. Looking for a new board for Gloria and SF sounds what we might be looking for. She’s doing good on our typical softer/ slower snow, but when it gets harder/ faster she’s struggling with speed control ( me too ) :). What you think? Maybe even a Superconductor?
  17. Has anyone gotten some non custom footbeds? I’ve seen more of them advertised lately and they seem to have different arch height ect. Not trying to diss custom beds as I have them myself and won’t go back. Working with some newbs and when I tell them they should get close to $200.00 foot beds they give me a funny look ?.
  18. Yes, probably not the best way to do it. Does anyone know a better way with ebay? Can you build an order for a specific person? Something like that would help him out quite a bit I think. He’s trying though and he said he’d make me right. I think he’s a bit overwhelmed right now. He also said he’s out till Monday, so be patient.
