  1. Good thing Bruce likes you. Is that new record 52 inserts ? :) Thanks
  2. Sorry, Rasta I missed seeing this one. Would you be able to show more picks, details? Looks nice. This was more what I was thinking. Inserts in board?
  3. Let’s see it man ! :)
  4. Already booked up? Is that something you need to do weeks in advance? Glad you guys got a little snow refresher
  5. Hi Chris, Im in Salt Lake and typically ride at Solitude. I have some extra gear that if it fits, your welcome to try. Sounds like you’re doing well in softies, that’s a great advantage. Ron
  6. Gizmos down to 18 mm stack height ( plate + isolators ), binders on top of that. Carbon plate would be better? Yes. With the plates that have axels and bumpers, ( like Apex ?) it sounds like the bumpers give you more board “ feel “? /pedaling ability ? I’m wondering if a plate with only bumpers/ isolators/ no axels ,would would also work. Then you would have true isolation in a plate. You could run it like a BP , BP light or separate like the Gizmos. So far I like the 2 separate plates, but would like to try a one piece plate, that was soft in torsion. My personal goal with plates/ isolation is really knee joint comfort/preservation. I know when I ride with the Gizmos my knees feel better when I walk from the hill to the car at the end of the day( it’s usually the end of the morning ),and even better they feel good to go ride the next day. Harder the snow better I like them.
  7. Sorry West, I was trying to be funny (sarcasm).Refers to the possible origin of the name Coiler? aka doggie do do. I’m sure it’s a great board. I’m a Coiler guy myself. Thanks for the Hamilton and Whitefish keeper. Nice touch!
  8. You were lucky to get rid of that piece of $h*t.

    Monoskis

So what are the best monoskis to learn on? What’s the learning curve like? There are probably more people here that have ridden one, or is Monodude the only mono?
  10. I like your thinking Don. Never tried one. Could an old man learn and maybe not kill himself. Where would I look for a reasonably priced one. What ones are good for newbie monoskier? Hope you are feeling better.
  11. I’d rather have ? ? on ice. ? Thanks for the comments.
  12. You heard wrong, but please show us the video of your attempt. Then head over to Deer Valley. Might have a better chance there. Stein skied with his legs totally together. Talk with a Norwegian accent.......... It helps if you have ski poles. Act haughty. Rated #1 for grooming every year. ?
  13. Sugarloaf is another world? Seriously ,have you ever seen Ace or any other highly skilled skwaller ride? World Cup? Sure, you could lay down carves with a pure form, pop some stylish air between turns. Will you win the race? NO! I don’t generally wear a stopwatch while riding to see how fast I can get to the bottom and I don’t crash gates much either ( more power to those who do ). Really? Come on. By the way it’s spelled Skwal, with one L.
  14. Yaw, I thought you would treat a fellow sotan better. All I hafta say is rub it while you can eh.?:) Nice tracks too.
  15. Any suggestions for skis that are capable carvers, and decent all mountain also? Something for tweener days. Thinking in the 160cm to 170cm long range and 2 or 3 years old maybe so I can get them inexpensively. I get 4 free days at Deer Valley and 2 free days at Alta with my season pass and believe it or not they won’t let me ride my mono boards there!???? Thanks,Ron
  16. Sale pending. Dave, Here’s the wear on the 2nd set of receivers Thanks Bomber heel receivers
  17. Glad to hear someone is getting a winter. I have zero powder days so far this year. Thank God for groomers.
  18. So you would like a little more top end? When you get going too fast can you do a couple hard turns to slow down or do you find you have to skid off some speed? Same question for you too Dave. Thanks for the response.
  19. ??I’m glad we share the same nonproblem. You guys stay warm up there. What’s the weather like up in the UP. You’ve got snow? Give our best to Beth.
  20. Al, you may have a problem and I like it
