  1. I have been in Aspen 3 times in the last week, unfortunately to work. It's a real bitch setting up ice sculptureres while in plain view or Ruthies! After the new years, I am going to to play in the decompression chamber (Aspen) for a couple of days of glutonous debauchery. Think Snow!
  2. That pic is incredible Bob. Coming down Friday to build a big ass ice bar for some schwank vodka company. Hope to see you, unfortunately no time for rinding on this trip to paradise. Think Snow!
  3. Yeah, second that. Couple days ago I got props from a skiboarder practicing ballet at the Basin. The Basin outlawed ballet and skiboarding years ago but this one slipped through. "Beautiful carves" is hollered as he past me spinning like a top on his skiboards. Think Snow!
  4. NO, Bret. Very cool kid. Loves to go very very big and thinks rockers are for skillless hacks. Power steering for the under privledged. We had a long talk. Very polite, educated and well spoken in the world of snowboard performance. Nice change from the bro bra pants on the ground park monkeys that dominate most areas this time of year. Very limited terrain and lots of blending of multiple skill levels. Interesting time of year to say the least. And man the SNOW is ROCKING! Most excellent conditions for late Oct!Think Snow!
  5. Saw it actually. Kid was anti-rocker the hole way. Lots of good reasons also! Saw it at Loveland 10/30/2010. Think Snow
  6. Those look bad ass!!!!! Think Snow!

    Yo Lci!!

Bigs, that new Donek is going to treat you well. Monodude, good to see you as always. Those rip ass Virus skis still have you beaming ear to ear. I'll make some turns with you guys when the snow gets better. Pic 1- The Dude and his bad ass Virus skis Loveland Oct 2010. Pic 2- The best sticker ever! Think Snow!
  8. 15 yrs riding race plates riding everyting from big GS decks to backcountry excursions and never broke em. Not even the very light and flexy Carbon Race Plates. I think many of the Race Plate failures were due to improper set up and abusive riding technique not faulty design. Still a very adequet binder imho. :biggthumpBig thumb up to Joerg for helping keep this binding alive and good luck on the new venture. Think Snow!

  11. Sad day when Norman sells his Burner. Think Snow!
  12. If we have some decent snow, Ill come out and play. 158, yeah, that should do it. Lets make a plan to hit the Basin on Friday. Thiink Snow!
  13. Nobody talks about Fight Club oops er the Garage> Think Snow!
  14. It was very easy to overpower the nose in its origional configuration, so much so that you had to get it back to centered (stance) and not drive too hard for fear of turning the snowboard into a submarine. Once the nose was flex modified this wasn't a problem any more. I think Apex was trying to control this overpowering with the bumpers under the long nose but I saw first hand a failure that I am positive was induced by this design. I think they were demanding too much from the plate by asking it to be a isolating mechanism and a force multiplier to assist the nose. Think Snow!
  15. A little respect is definately in order. Bob has been around riding softies (carving) better than a large percentage of plate riders that ride race decks that are active here on BOL. He has more surf/ski/snowboard experience accrued then most of you could ever dream of and he has a history in each of those respective sports that is noteworthy but, you would never know it from him, he is a very modest and genuine man. Ever wonder who grassrooted the effort that granted us (snowboarders) access to Ajax, thank Bob! The man has skills, and I am very pleased to know him and call him a friend. Show some respect. Think Snow!

Nice score Bigs, that thing has your name all over it. - Think Snow!
  17. Yeah, 98/99. I was living in Everett working for BF Goodrich Aerospace at the time. Remeber fondly being trapped a couple of times up at Stevens when the road slid over. Usually didn't happen until closing time at night, bar would fill up and start serving boilmakers until the road reopened. I have NEVER seen that much snow in my life. Driving to Baker was an insane trip though snow piled so incredibly high it was almost scary and certainly surreal. I believe it was a 1140+ inch{93ft} year for Baker. And correct you are Lee, Baker is the MECCA. Awsome place to ride. Think Snow!
  18. I like to exercise the full color offerings from Carhartt. Dark brown insulated pants for the mild spring days and duck insulated bibs (full zip and scotch guarded to the bejesus of course) for the super deep days. They come equipped with chain saw bar oil stains and complimentary sawdust in the pockets left over from previous work. I have been breaking these out primarily in the spring season for quite some time now and they just don't ever die. Black, customized tripple front pants for the long summer logging season, probably not the best color choice for the sweaty summer days in Colorado but hey, I am the man in black. I'll try and find some pics for Michael so that he can utilize the color ways for his fashion matching. Think Snow!
  19. Carhartts. You know, the full zip insulated ones the you so love to give me **** about. Might clash with your other fashion choices, but you know they are badass and look damn fine also. Might help you achieve that bad boy image you so desire:D Think Snow!
  20. That heavy arse press is a thing of beauty. You can tell by looking at that it was built with skill. For those of you who enjoy fine things, this can be added to the list. The final product is going to be incredible but the tooling going into it is equally incredible. Post up a pic Fin, its a fantastic piece of workmanship. Think Snow!
  21. My god Pat, that is abusive the price you paid for that. Hows everything now, post surgery? Think Snow!

Like your style. Works for me also! Now, to stay injury free for a bit and get some of this eight months worth of work done. Winter is fast approaching. Think Snow!
  23. Just make sure that you bring something other than chicken legs to Aspen this year. Think Snow!
