  1. Yes on the first question. Current technology race boards are excellent free carving machines. Old tech stuff it excellent also. Some of the old glass construction Coilers are very desirable rides. Along the line of a Stienway piano, well built, very smooth powerful ride. Question 2. Speed is realitive.
  2. The fun begins at 185cm! It is nice to have places like Arapahoe Basin, Beaver Creek, Vail, and yes even Keystone all are xcellent big board resorts. Oh, and dare I forget to mention the Aspen resorts are the best. Think Snow!
  3. See you there. Should be leaving Winter Park shortly. Be there by 11. Snow looks good on the web cam. Think Snow
  4. Nobody is telling anyone to go somewhere else. What is beeing so eloquently said is: this is a website the was origionally started to give people who ride hardboots a venue to discuss all things hardboot. If you are coming to be part of this site, acknowledge this very basic and evident premise. Hardbooting is what we talk about, do, buy and sell, manufacturer, race, ride powder on, ect, ect. If you gonna cry in your soup about us (the Hardboot Taliban)don't. This thread has gone very awry. People are getting offended and upset, and the powers of keen grasp of the obvious are not being used. Don't let Bomberonline loose its orgional heart and soul. Think Snow!
  5. Wow, I have been call a pain in the ass before but never a pugillistic, pugnacious Taliban. I love it. Here is a tag line stolen for the telemark world and adapted for our soft boot bretheren. NO ONE CARES IF YOU RIDE SOFTIES!:) Think Snow With love from the Hardboot Talilban
  6. So, do I get to request a Fish with Plates sub-forum. I promise that I will rotate it later, time to go play with chainsaws and climb a big ass Ponderosa! Think Snow!
  7. Hey Softbootsailer-Love the post, don't take any of my ramblings to heart. You are definately one of the good guys. Hoping to get back down to Aspen again this season and would enjoy riding with you again. Send me your email through Bomber. Think Snow!
  8. Now you got it. Hardboot being the opperative word! What would make you think anything different? Think Snow
  9. Now I understand! I don't mind the attacks as long as stating the obvious in return feels like a sharp stick in the eye to the offendees. I have always found it entertaining to attempt to get people to use their powers of critical and logical thinking. The softie decipeles can take their discussions to the already provided OFF TOPIC thread. We have already wasted more than enough bandwidth on softie stuff. I think that we are on the same page with diffent solutions to the PROBLEM. Think Snow!

    Yo Lci!!

Glad you liked it. Me and political correctness are not one in the same. Say what you believe and believe what you say; then, sign it. Think Snow!
  11. Please go and re-read my post on this thread from start till finish-then come back with an informed response. I am all for the OFF Topic thread being a catch all for all things not Hardboot snowboarding specific. Please read more carefully. Think Snow!
  12. I know that my vision is sliding in my advanced age; but, the majority DISAGREES. I think possibly the T-shirt you posted up pertains to youself more than I. Think Snow!
  13. Clear enough? No where is softboot/softbinding mentioned on this very useful hand out card that Bomber Industires provides free of charge to all of us in a attempt to spread the word of HARDBOOTING.
  14. In my 20 yrs of hardbooting, I have taught (both for pay and gratis), leant/gave gear to, promoted and been a cheerleader for the hardboot cause. It is something that I love to do and hope to do until I am old and grey(not far off). I came here to BOL many years ago to use the web site as a portal to like minded people (hardbooters) and discuss all things hardbooting. I ride a bunch of junky old gear (all with plate bindings), still get the same buzz that I have had forever and still promote hardbooting as much as I can. I might also add that this year, I personally have handed out more "Its hardboot snowboarding cards" than I ever had in my life. Mabey if you jack your rhetoric up a bit we could build this community bigger. All you soft boot decipeles shoud team up and form you own "soft boot carving" website. Then you can be with your like minded group of people. Or come to the darkside and step into some HARDBOOTS! Think Snow!
  15. No one every said "softbooters" are not allowed! What is being said is, if you want to talk about soft boot and strap bindings, go else where. This is a site didicated to hard boot snowboarding. Come here to learn about THAT, like it has always meant to be and hopefully always will be. Is there nothing pure and origional anymore? Political correctness is bull****. Decide what it is that you want to do, appearently for many here it is a difficult task. Once again, there is always the "Off Topic" thread for those of you insistant on talking about your softies and how well they perform. I didn't cry when the Burton Fish thread was moved to off topic. I posted there and ride my Fish with Bombers, but I didn't start crying when it was relocated. Make up your mind then serach out the appropriate web site based on that decision. Decision time fellas! Think Snow!
  16. What exectly is your point? As usual, I am not picking up what you are laying down. Try NOT talking in convoluted circles. You came here to be part of a hardboot snowboard web site: not wind surfing, kite boarding or softbooting. Make a decision man, what exactly is it that you would like to discuss? If it doesn't fall under that catagory of hardboot snowboarding take it to the OFF TOPIC thread and yak all you want. Think Snow!
  17. I can count the days on one hand that I have been in softies and I will NEVER go back! Think Snow!
  18. Yeah, skate and classic. That would be of the cross country variety, and when I break my splitboard in two and use it for skinning that is technically uphill ski transport, but I don't come on BOL and yak about any of that stuff. I go to the appropriate site to discuss these forms of snow sliding where they are applicable. Think Snow!
  19. How exactly is it that I have trashed you? Did I say you suck, you cant ride, you have crappy style? I don't recall doing so, but if I have please feel free to remind me, and provide exact examples. I am just saying find a more appropriate web site to discuss soft boot snowboard riding. That and work on your skin thickness, it seems to be a little thin. Think Snow!
  20. G-Force and Sword both have a soft boot alpine style riding emphasis and a web site also. Might be a good place to start for all of you so intent on trying to ride alpine in soft boots. Think Snow!
  21. Do I really have to list the boat load of other web sites more befitting soft boot riders for your or can you handle that on your own? Think Snow!
