  1. So Klug turned it on eh! Good for him! Lets hope he can keep it rolling. Think Snow!
  2. Come to the Basin Monday. Small group of us meeting up and the snow is always the best at the Basin. Its tuned, waxed and ready to go! Send me your phone number. And as soon as I find the phone that I lost in the woods while burning slash I will give you a call. Hope I didnt cook it in a slash fire! Think Snow!
  3. Excellent all day, super versital, do it all ride. I rode the 14-20 scr and 14-24m scr boards and probably more prefer the larger sidecut deck. The 14-20 was by no means short on versitality the the larger scr just gives you more options of turn size and here in Colorado we have top to bottom parking lot wide cruisers that allow for extreme changes in turn shape and size that additional radi availability is very welcome. Super fun to cruise on and can turn tighter than you legs will allow. Quiver killer, yes! 1 board that can serve may functions! Think Snow!
  4. Fyi-these binders had their share of problems! Just a word to the wise and the cautious. Sorry to interupt your sale just think these arent the safest!
  5. Fatski-the Enduro is a all day top to bottom 2 man team race. Last year the snow was fantastic and I am still kicking myself for not entering. I also wanted to try and do it before my 40th but didn't make it. I think a top 10 placement is possible if I can find the right partner and can stay injury free this season. Make no mistakes, it is a burtal event. For your efforts you get a free t shirt and beer, they also feed you during the race. You should come out so that the Wisconsin boys can show em how its done! Think Snow!
  6. For whats is worth, things have dried up here in Colorado also. There is some light at the end of the tunnel. A system is suppose to settle in Weds and start giving us some much needed SNOW! The saving grace is that it has been hella cold here at night. I am sure Colorao River flows are taking a big hit with everyone firing up the guns. Ullr, have we wronged you? Think Snow!
  7. You guys must need SNOW! Think Snow!
  8. For those of you who desire the controllable cush without the multiple failure problems of lighter, less substantial bindings, this is going to be the one. Racer feedback has been excellent and those few non-racers who have had the pleasure for spending time on em have come back smiling. I remember the days of TD1's, bone jarring, filling loosening ultra rigid ride with a perchant of destroying boards. Back in those days, I defaulted back to Race Plates because I liked the cush but always wondered in the back of my mind when they were going to fail. Now, with the sidewinders, we have controllable and tuneable cush without having to be concerned with failures. The only drawback that I can see for old fat men who hate to bend over and flip the bails is that it is currently is only available in a standard bail version and not step in, but something tells me step ins will be the next progression, I hope!
  9. I think its appearent that Andrea has been riding alpine and riding it very well for a very long time so, think twice before critiqueing his style, stance or equipment. Consider him a master of the sport, because he is.
  10. Nice rides, Wintergold. When will you get on the snow?
  11. Shooting for 100+ again. Need a partner for the Arapahoe Basin Enduro, any takers? Think Snow!
  12. Prior has been at this game for a long time with a fantastic track record of excellent products and customer service. If you are considering a Prior snowboard buy with confidence. I spent a bunch of time on a 183 that Chris brought to SES last year and absolutely loved it.

    Yo Lci!!

Yea, that was a blast. Sorry I missed you Dave, next time. I left Lovey and did the blaster over Loveland Pass and hit up Abasin. It was farily busy yesterday but this morning is was wide open. The whole mountain was race course firm and buffed up very well like always. Bunch of racers including a couple of burly looking large dudes hauling the mail on some big downhill skis. Very very fun to watch. Going to head over Friday to watch the race at Copper. It is suppose to be quite the show, all the top contenders are in town to show who is the king and who is going to be representing at the Olympics, should be very exciting.
  14. Havent been on a traditional alpine ski set up in years but have ventured into the world of Nordic (classic and skate) skiing. I am definately a hack but we have some excellent nordic centers aronund here and the touring in Rocky Mountain National Park is incredible. Pick up a Prior Split this season so I am hoping to venture into the Never Summer Wilderness and nail some of those monster lines the I have been looking at for years. No weekend lift lines for me!
  15. They are all crazy expensive but Beaver Creek is the star amonst these three. Best groom, diverse and large acerage, best grooming (quality and largest daily average acerage) and probably the friendliest staff ever. The Beav used to be empty by has gained much popularity in the last few seasons but is always less crowded than Vail. The Beav provides a second to none large resort experience, right down to the complimentary chocolate chip cookies at the end of the day.
  16. Boris-that looks awsome! Looks like it would be an excellent replacement for my beat Volkl Cross. I think that I would be very nervous riding such a beautiful high $ board on my some of my expeditions. I always seem to incur alot of base and edge damage.
  17. Ahhh, Bola, you know me. Always stiring the pot and trying to get people to think long and hard about what they are saying. Indian summer is allowing me to make some more $$$ before the snow gets really good. Thanks for working on the helmet for me. Ill be down in the next week or two. Helmet Yes, your going to see me at SES and I bring my metal board too.
  18. So are metal boards better bacause they are easier to ride? Metal is inherently excellent at hiding riders flaws and require less technique to make them perform so is this why they are so appealing? Is metal madness all driven by current racer trends? Could a race still be won on old school technology?
  19. He is one of the super smooth Montucky Brothers. Great guy to ride with and inventor of the Tooth Cam!!

    Yo Lci!!

For the love of God Don. What have you created now? Does it have a name?
  21. Yea, a snowcat can definately be a hand full. Believe it or not you can get one stuck. I have. A beer fine is imposed for that infraction. Race course prep is a trip. Basically, the desired result is to get it as hard as you can without turning it to ice. I know that water injection and running as much done pressure on the tiller are pretty common. It is pretty time consuming doing course but you usally are allowed the time to make it perfect. I have watched the guys preping Birds of Prey at Bc, those guy have their stuff together. Perfectionist.
  22. I am guessng the Burton 8 years old or under. I origionally bought it form Ben Scheuerman so he might have some more insight. Mark
  23. Interested. Who was it built for? Pics. Any idea on mileage, edge condition, number of base grinds? Sorry for all the questions. Mark
  24. You are going to be driving around with you blade in the air for a while. There is alot going on inside the cocpit of those machines. The new Pisten Bullys are super bad ass. The have worked very hard to develope comfortabe and efficent controls with egronomics being paramount. If you drive any of the stick steer machines, you will expreience hand cramps that make you wanna cry. You already have a great eye for the snow and that take the longest time to develop. Being able to identify what is happening with snow quality variations by watching a 2 tonne wave of snow that is rolling in your blade is oh so important. That blade can do alot of damage quickly so it takes some time to get the feel. I am coming up for cat rides with you this winter. Your gonna love it. Just keep in the back of you mind groom like you ride. SMOOTH. Flow the lines blend in the high and low spots and make it buff. I am counting on you to lay it down smooooooth. Is Vail all Pisten Bully or are they driving Prinoths also?
  25. Hey Lee-Does use to count. Pisten Bully pilot for Copper 1999-2000.
