  1. You are not allowed to say you like the ride of a plate on this forum !
  2. Ego Trumps Shame every time ! Oops I think I just broke the rule.
  3. Rough it up with some sand paper and mix up some epoxy sandwich it with some wood planks and clamp it down with some c clamps. If your into hard chemicals a wipe with some acetone will help insure a good bond.
  4. They are almost there. The sweet thing happens when they articulate in the middle.
  5. Army surplus bibs on real cold days and anything that fits the waist all other times. Function over fashion is my new rule and hoping I can wear everything out before I die. If it still looks decent by the time I do die they can bury me in it !
  6. You might want input from people who have had their binding crack as to what position they were bolted together relative to where they cracked . Very few have had this happen but it can ! Ride it till it breaks and let us know which is stronger . I like it with the two bolts on the heel
  7. My analysis is that the crack started at the insert and progressed outward to the side wall. If you flex the board do the top laminates separate from the sidewall ( open up downward in you picture) if so I would say never trust the board to be the only one you take with you . Your new rock board or the best excuse you can have to get a new board ! Pass it on to someone lighter to get started in the sport. As for how it happened only your bathroom scales knows for sure .
  8. Oh no not a new plate !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Couple of years more like a couple of decades. I am so old my skateboards had steel wheels. Nice bandana by the way ! Mind telling us if you landed that grab.
  10. Funny to read comments about a bunch of young kids who can bend by a bunch of old guys that wish they still could.
  11. Now if there was also a Skwal in the line !
  12. Weighting and unweighting helps too . Comments anyone.
  13. Shred your going to blow a blood vessel it will get there when it gets there. It might be on a truck stuck at the border trying to escape to Canada.
  14. It is the year of blade up grooming (which professional operators despise ) everywhere but MCC.
  15. Had a pair of old rear entry ski boots (white plastic ) kicking around dropped them and they shattered into 100 pieces. Most white plastic anything does not like ultra violet light use at your own risk ! The fact the plastic underneath the base is cracked tells me the bond between layers is probably compromised as well. Probably the worst that will happen is it delaminates but the bonding between all layers in your board is what makes it work.
  16. Mere pups ! You will be of no help to get a Guinness record.
  17. It is so steep gravity can not hold him on the slope !!
  18. How about going for a Guinness record next year for the largest number of seniors on snowboards.
  19. And thats the run where you can see the roof of the chalet but not the front door.
  20. Always a hiccup or two when you traverse a country . Do not stress the getting there the first time that is half the charm. Once on Turner all the stress will melt away. Maybe some muscle too. Have a great time everyone.
  21. If you want to add a variable that throws me put on a back pack and tell me how it has changed your stance .
  22. If you are lazy you mount it and ride it. If your like Sunsurfer and myself you experiment till you like the feel. And then experiment some more. As a general rule short setup allows board to flex more than the longer setup (distance between axles) both setups allow the board to flex and perform more true to the boards design (feet and bindings do not create an artificial flat spot on the board). If you want the most suspension and best recreational ride the longest mounting points are what will provide that particular characteristic. Mounting the binding outside the pivot points can give you a diving board feel (you do not want that !
  23. I thinks it is cool as well. Should have the plywood grading stamp on it but then you would have had to pay the soft wood lumber tax !
  24. Split pin so loops are facing forward so ice and snow will not pull on them
  25. Agree it is good to be seen but also worry that fixating on something often causes one to steer in that direction. Enjoy your turn everyone !
