Most ski areas have policies against the use of drones. Its probably a good idea to check before going out. Ted Ligety has his tuning guy follow him on a run with a long stick and a camera with a gimbal device(GoPro Karma Grip) attached to it. Results look pretty decent.

Very interesting! I saw some guys out in Japan had some special PureBoarding boards made with stainless steel strips along the edge for enhanced durability on artificial slopes. Looking forward to seeing how this pans out!

I never placed an order for the new model. I am still rocking a pair from like 2 or 3 years ago that are still in great shape. I am such a a fan of the glove that I had to immediately post the news when I heard the new model release. That is a bummer to hear about the downfall of the project.

If you go with regular SnowPro bindings versus the Thias branded ones your problem should be solved!

@Beckmann AG Are you still capable of "running off a few sets"? I am very interested in obtaining a set of TD1 Skwal plates. If you are custom machining them, is it possible to change the bolt pattern of the toe and heel blocks to match the TD2/3 pattern? Lets chat, maybe shoot me a PM? Thanks!!!

Peak 10 - Crystal. Best carving run on the mountain! If you have a chance and trust in your skills I would recommend going all the way up to the top of the mountain. Its a little hike from the Imperial Express SuperChair, but well worth it for the views alone.

I was thinking about going up Tuesday or Wednesday after MLK. MLK is typically one of the busiest days for most ski areas and I am not a fan of the crowds. @Bobby Buggs, want to shoot for Wednesday again?

I am doubting a carbon version anytime soon. Everything you see in this current .951 boot is injection molded plastic. Working with carbon fiber requires different molding techniques and an autoclave. I am interested to see what kind of liner options will be available with the boot. The best hope for a carbon boot might be from these guys. https://dodgeskiboots.com/ They seem to be very firmly rooted in the ski race scene. They have in the FAQ section a question about snowboard boots saying there is nothing planned.

Did you read through the Skwal Thread? You really should read through every page. Its been done before and Don "MonoDude" has some of the Nordica Yah Loves(185cm) for sale right now HERE. He is describing it as a "powder skwal". Older model of that ski can also be seen below mounted for Skwal riding. There are many skwals available on the market today. I would recommend these as they are specifically designed for skwal riding! If you are looking to demo a skwal I can possibly be of assistance. I want to say you are talking about the "cross-under" technique? Lets say you are talking about that guy in the pink boots in the picture above transitioning to his next turn. Are you trying to say that his upper body(mass) would continue in straight towards the camera as his lower body and legs cross under him to the next edge? Still carving but not changing direction down the fall line?
