  1. Skyliner chair, Cliffhanger run is usually blocked off for races or race training on weekends. The Skyliner run and DMQ (I think that's the name) are also good options. You'll find steeper pitches on the Pine Marten runs. If you already have tickets you can park in the Skyliner lot and not have to walk as far.
  2. I just found out that you can buy advance tickets on the Anthony Lakes website for $15 a day! So if anyone still wants to come out and ride with me it will be $65 for 4 days. (Thursdays are $20) https://anthonylakes.ltibooking.com/products/search?utf8=✓&partner_date=2019-12-17&start_date=2020-03-06 If a moderator would like to change the title from $140 to $65 that would be appreciated. I might have to buy a camper.
  3. I'm thinking about picking up a 3 day pass for $120, but I've never talked to anyone who's been there. Is is worth a 5 hour drive? https://www.bluewood.com/ticket-specials
  4. No, there are dogs running all over that mountain. Be careful.
  5. There are no retail stores for hard boots any where on the West Coast. You have to order online. You can contact Mark at Thirst Snowboards for UPZ, or Donek for Deeluxe.

  7. Mark Miller at Thirst has sleeves made of moving blankets. Nothing fancy, but they are breathable so your edges won't rust. https://www.thirstsnowboards.com/contact
  8. The Race Place in Bend also does good work. https://the-raceplace.com/pages/ski-tuning-service
  9. I got a Meadows value pass in May for $399.
  10. That's half the price of my season pass.
  11. Whenever Hood opens in October it means 2-3 weeks of rain in November. We once did the Zoo, Mt. Tabor and Council Crest in one day. Tabor had the longest runs.
  12. It looks like Timberline may open a couple of lifts tomorrow. Now you know.

  14. You will love it! I had the Superconductor and then got the XC, I didn't think 4cm length would be all that different but Mark built the XC to really crank turns and track straight when you need to glide through flat sections.
  15. I don't have his contact info but if you can get on Facebook, look up Alpine Snowboard Trader, Bryan knows how to contact Mike (Tinkler).
  16. So, I cant make it to Montucky this year but I can make it to Anthony Lakes, Oregon. I'm not posting this in the sessions forum because I'm not organizing anything. Here are details: Anthony Lakes has one chair, 900' of vertical and the highest base area in Oregon (7,100 ft.). It is cheap, $40 a day with 1/2 price on Thursday. So 4 days = $140.00 (You can buy discounted tickets on their website or Liftopia for $15-$20 a day) It is uncrowded. The grooming is excellent. It is usually sunny. It is easy to get to. Lodging in La Grande or Baker City is cheap. Saturday the 7th is "Snowblast", there will be a lot of spectators at the base but no crowds on the hill. There will be live music and a Chinese Downhill. Yes, I'm serious. So, who wants to ride with me? https://anthonylakes.com
  17. It gets better, the board has pink sidewalls.
  18. The forecast looks like today is the only day this week (last week of spring pass) that it isn't raining. I went up. It sucked. Worst grooming that I've seen in years. 2 runs and done. No one should be jealous.
  19. Yesterday at Timberline we had a group of six and I ended up on a chair with a couple of softbooters. One of them said, "Dude, you guys inspired us to do a run out of the park and on the groomer!".
  20. It was good today although a bit on the warm side. Boilerplate for the first hour (rained yesterday) then carvable for about an hour and a half. It was just starting to get grabby at 11:30 when I left. Temps are supposed to drop in a couple of days. Conditions are looking good for our mini session April 28-30. Spring Lift Schedule Our scheduled hours of operation (subject to change) for Spring 2019 are as follows: Lift hours are 9am to 3pm Palmer is open! Weather permitting, it will operate daily Magic Mile will be open daily, weather permitting Timberline’s five terrain parks are open daily, 9/10am - 2:30/3pm Bruno’s will be open Sat/Sun through April 28 Jeff Flood Express will run through April 28 Norms estimated closing date is May 19 Phlox Point Cabin has officially closed for the season. Get your Spring Pass by May 12th and use through May 27th! It costs less than the price of two lift tickets. Summer Pass ($899) goes on sale May 6th. Timberline Summer Snow Camps begin with Freestyle Day Camp on June 10th and Family Race Camp on June 14th. LEARN MORE Please check our Conditions page for daily updates!
  21. I actually joined that group and posted the event yesterday, thanks to Mr. Bryan Sutherland. Timberline was good today but got kind of busy and chopped up around noon. They put chairs on The Mile and took them back off.
  22. This is the last week of full operations at Meadows. It will be Friday-Sunday after that. Timberline is open every day.
  23. We've got about 24-30" in the last 3 days. Supposed to be another 6-12" tonight. I'm heading up tomorrow. Timberline spring pass $139, good every day through May 27th.
  24. Once again, the "Blind Skier" vest does wonders to keep people at a distance. No one wants to hit a blind skier.
  25. If you go to the "Boards" tab and click on the individual boards it has the specs listed. The Superconductor is a 175 with 162 effective edge. The XC is a 171 with a 156 effective edge. The SF is a 162 with 149.2 effective edge. So, the Super is 4cm longer than the XC but has 6cm more effective edge. The XC is 9cm longer than the SF with 6.8 more effective edge. 8R is 184.5 with a 171.2 effective edge. So it's 9.5 cm longer than the Super with 9.8 more effective edge. Then there is the X which is the new BX. No specs posted yet but I got to ride one and it was a blast and floated through the chopped up powder. I want Mark to build a 190-200cm of this one, it would be a "Tanker Killer".
