    I've never been riding in Utah, but I'd cross Deer Valley off the list anyways.

    That's the problem with riding an every day "Ferrari". It's no fun riding the "Mustang" at the end of the season. I'd rather stay with the high performance ride and take my chances. That's what body shops are for.

    This may be a sore subject at this time of year, but as our Timberline spring season will go until 5/28 this year, I wonder how warm people cut off trying to slide? I have the option of going 3-4 days in the next couple of weeks but won't because daytime temps will reach 60 plus degrees with no freezing temps at night. That means it starts off sticky and gets worse. Generally, any temp above 50 is too warm for me.

    I just had my 4th week in a row of mid week powder, riding this TSM2 magic carpet thing. I was so impressed that I came home and did math. The board is 30 cm taller than me and I can turn it with ease, the tracks that I could see from the chair looked like I was riding a 165. Courvoisier and velvet smooth turns.

    Yesterday someone asked me if I was from Europe. I said no. He said "But you're a Eurocarver." I told him my board was from Idaho.

    On crowded runs, I feel safer on skis.

    There is definitely more stuff off mountain to do in Banff. My choice would be Sun Peaks. If you have transportation, Kamloops is only 40 minutes away and there is quite a bit of stuff to do at the resort. Plus ski in and out is pretty nice.

    Washington state record: Most snow in 24 hours: 65″ at Crystal Mountain on 24 February 1994. It was too deep. That night it snowed another 18". We had to roll down the windows and climb out when we got there because the doors wouldn't budge.

    I hope you get to ride Tamarack while you're there. They have some mighty fine grooming and low crowds.

    Plasti Dip also makes a spray on so you can tape off the pins and coat the base. It's been awhile since I tried it but I think I got 5-10 days of use before needing to re apply.

    I'm ordering a "Blind Skier" vest, so if anyone hits me they'll feel really bad.

    I've got a pair of Deeluxe 325's in a size 9. I think the heel pads are new as I put Fintec heels on them. They have blue BTS springs, but I'm sure I have the original ride/walk switch as well. I'm not too far from you if you want to check them out.

    A meat tenderizing mallet works well for breaking the ice off the boots. It also garners respect in the lift line.

    I don't know the difference in the Ultra and Factory, but I have a 171 Factory Prime with about 6 days on it. I'm local to you as well.
