  1. Bought it for $550, put about 12 runs on it. I put on a Dakine Spike stomp pad and a fresh base grind. Here is a link to the post that I bought it from. Will sell for $500 shipped in U.S.. http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?39796-Coiler-177-VSR-M-21-5-wide
  2. Still some Saber demo's left http://www.donek.com/demo-sale
  3. I have a Coiler VSR 177 metal that is too stiff for me, built for a 200 lb. rider. I believe width is 21 or 21.5.
  4. I'm adding this to my bucket list: Buy GolfBoard, Headlamp and tickets to Scotland, I must poach St. Andrews.
  5. Karbon has a couple of shells with detachable hoods. Since they're designed by Canadians, most of them also come with attached bottle openers.
  6. I found these in the new PSIA catalog. Talked to the owner/inventor yesterday (he also invented the rear entry ski boot), he told me that some of the crossover instructors at Beaver Creek were using these boots. That way if they have a board or ski lesson they no longer have to change boots. Apparently the double Boa system makes them stiffer than any regular soft boot. Has anyone tried these? http://apexskiboots.com/shop/boots
  7. Thanks for the input everyone! Tickets are purchased, direct from Redmond to Denver. Now I wait patiently for 6 1/2 months.
  8. I know this is a little early, but I want to buy my plane tickets soon before the prices go up. So, do you risk the adverse weather and fly to Aspen or do you fly to Denver, which is more likely to be open, and shuttle bus or rent a car to Aspen? This will be my first SES so I really have no idea?
  9. Yeah, I worked at Eldora for a winter, it sucks. Don't waste the gas. Loveland is easier to get to and a much better small ski area. Depending on what part of Texas your driving from you might want to check out Wolf Creek, another small area that doesn't suck.
  10. What happened? I met Doug 3 years ago when I moved to Bend, I can't tell you how many people see me on alpine gear and ask me if I know Doug. I had beers with him but never got the chance to ride with him. The last I heard, he separated from his wife and moved to Mauii. He is a legend around here not only amongst boarders but also skiers who have seen him ride. I have ridden the chair with 60-70 year old skiers that tell me they don't respect boarders " but there was this guy named Doug." He was a true craftsman and woodworker and such a bad ass that I was scared to ride with him.
  11. Two boarders are hiking the backcountry with packs and boards on their backs. One has a glass board one has a metal. There is a lightning storm. Is the metal board more prone to strikes? How about Board Busters, Snowboard Tales or Riding Rumors.
  12. I pumped a beer keg at our end of season ski school party. I have no video as I was holding a red plastic cup in the other hand.
  13. Lose the eyebrows, I think they're slowing you down.
  14. 5 days left with 5-6" of fresh, and I did no base damage. Storm is predicted to keep going until Saturday. I still have 2 free tickets to any takers.
  15. Threadjacking Alert!!! Still have 2 free tickets to Mt. Bachelor. 6 days left, snow is in the forecast. These tix expire after that.
  16. I was up on Wednesday, better coverage than I had expected but was still scared to sink my edges in too far. Forecast is for colder temps with on and off snow/rain/sun..they have no idea. I will probably go up next week once or twice, still have two free tickets for any takers.
  17. I could do Sunday or Monday this weekend. Snow is melting fast but there's a small system moving in late this week which might improve conditions. PM me for more details.
  18. I don't know where the Bachelor thread went so I'm posting here. I have 2 free tickets to be used before the snow melts.
  19. I have 2 free Mt. Bachelor tickets, must be used before end of season. These tickets must be picked up at Bachelor ticket booth. Let me know.
  20. I took a beer cap and a pair of pliers and bent the cap in half over the bail where the spring used to be, problem solved. Doesn't necessarily spring back but it doesn't fall down either.
  21. I've got a 175 Donek Incline with 24.5 waist, built for 180 lbs.
  22. I have a 177 VSR Medium 21.5 waist, what weight range are you looking for?
  23. Just noticed that, I bet if you call Gavin with a guaranteed number of students that he would put something together.
