  1. Taste in in art is highly subjective, but IMO these are worth a look: https://www.alpenimage.com/index http://www.mountainlight.com/ Best wishes for a powdery season! B-2

  3. Hardboots = yes Softboots = no Hope it's snowy where you are!
  4. IMHO Beaver Creek and Vail are both great for carving and worth checking out when you are in the area. Grab a grooming report for up-to-the-moment intel. PM if you'd like some additional info when you are here. Best wishes for big fun! B-2
  5. Likely here: https://web.archive.org/web/20140708151037/http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?7651-Snowboard-shipping-101 Hope it helps. Cheers, B-2

  7. Cheers and best wishes, SunSurfer; Several years back Scott coached snowboard competitors, including aspiring racers, with QAST at Coronet Peak. While he rides and coaches in soft boots much more frequently than on a high performance carving setup, I'm confident you will enjoy riding with Scott and will undoubtedly benefit from his knowledge and experience. Here's a quick GIF animation of Scott railing toe-to-toe carved turns: Best wishes for big fun, B-2
  8. Hey David, If you are looking for local intel, I'd be stoked to join you for a few runs tomorrow morning (Monday 3/4). PM if you might like some some company. Thedo Remmelink, Arapahoe Basin, CO. Look forward to some outstanding spring conditions! Cheers, B-2
  9. Cold and snowy last 4 days with midwinter powder conditions. Sunny and warming forecast. Should be awesome riding. Daily grooming report is your fast track to the goods. Best wishes for big fun, B-2
  10. In case you haven't yet seen it, The Carver's Almanac has intel on some preferred carving runs at many destination resorts. Carver's Almanac creator Scott Firestone, Vail, Colorado Best wishes for an awesome trip!
  11. Plenty of riders carve on their snowboards. Most do it on softies.
  12. (...Slightly OT) Nice article on Bud in The Snowboarder's Journal: http://www.frqncy.com/issue/12.2/feature/Bud-Keene (...More OT) Is there an easy way to copy/paste a link in the new forum? I'm stumped. ...also having issues with copy and paste image links. Would appreciate coaching or counsel from any copy and paste gurus out there. Thanks, cheers, B-2
  13. Here's a link to Tom Palka's article: http://www.bomberonline.com/resources/Techarticles/carving_ranges_of_movement.html Good luck, have fun, and enjoy the ride! B-2
  14. Sounds like fun for you both. In addition to the helpful suggestions and resources mentioned in this thread, there are some useful instructional videos on YouTube. I've found the SnowProfessor and Snowboard Addiction channels to be particularly well-crafted and helpful. Your friend might benefit from watching the ones designed for beginners, to preview coming attractions, before you hit the slopes. <img src="http://i58.tinypic.com/21kc9b7.jpg" border="0" alt="Jeff Patterson, early-season powder, Vail, Co."> Best wishes for big fun!
