  1. If anyone really wants to stretch out the season, once you are done at T-line come on down to Bend. Mt. Bachelor's final day will be May 26th with live music on the snow and 8 breweries to sample from (BrewSki), I may even have a couple of free tickets still. http://www.mtbachelor.com/winter/services_activities/activities/events/index.html/2083122017
  2. So if I order one will the board kill me first or will it be my wife?
  3. Width 20 cm, sidecut 13.7/21/17.
  4. This board is super fast and in great condition. Built for 180-200 lbs. Top sheet has typical binding wear but no major scratches. It has a Race Place grind with a 3 degree side bevel. There was a shallow scratch in base when I bought the board but I have filled it. Comes complete with Dakine spike stomp pad and fresh Dominator all temp hot wax. This board was built by Bruce so he could race it at Nationals, he won. I bought this from Mike T. in December, here is a link to his review which has a link to a picture. (my phone is messed up so I can't take my own picture right now). http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?32270-Coiler-NSR-Asym-182 Bought in December for $650.00, I put maybe 35 runs on it, selling for $600.00 shipped in U.S. FIRM. ***Deal for locals, come to Bend and it's $550.00 plus a Mt. Bachelor lift ticket for this season for free***
  5. This doesn't really apply ... Wednesday I was riding up the chair in a wet downfall. I noticed that I was getting covered in grease from the wheels above the chair. Then I thought I had gotten a bloody nose because I tasted metal, so I spit, it was black. I realized that grease had dripped into my mouth. Just had to share.
  6. Anthony Lakes Oregon as well. http://www.anthonylakes.com/services-activities/own-the-mountain/
  7. Another e-mail sent, let me know.
  8. Bryan, I've got some discounted "employee friends" tickets, let me know if you come down as I have to call the ticket office in advance, or just show up with you.
  9. http://www.the-raceplace.com They also design their own tuning tools. Last I checked a full tune was $50 but they do the best job around, possibly best in the N/W.
  10. It's part of the Skiers Responsibility Code "Always use devices to help prevent runaway equipment." I'm surprised that more ski areas don't reinforce this. Crystal Mtn., WA won't let you on the chair without a leash, it's a liability issue. Having said that, I keep forgetting to buy one.
  11. At 240 lbs. the F2 is probable a good fit. I had this same board and weighed 180, I could barely flex it but with a wide enough uncrowded run it was still fun.

  13. Today was excellent in the trees, tomorrow should be the primo day for groomers. It should be less crowded because most of the powder has been tracked.
  14. I called Sean at Donek last Monday and ordered this board, it showed up Tuesday of this week to my surprise. I decided on the Phoenix because I currently have a 175 Incline that is fun but a bit cumbersome in the trees and at lower speeds. I told him that I was going to ride TD3's on it so he built the board with a poplar/ash core which is standard on the Incline instead of the poplar/aspen core which is standard on the Phoenix. This thing is a blast! Yesterday was nasty and icy and it did okay, but handled kind of weird. I brought it home and detuned the tip and tail, gave it a 2nd coat of wax and took it back up today. We had 2" last night and I was able to do some trees and a lot of groomers. The shorter sidecut took some getting used to but I was able to lay it over on quite a few turns as well as pop some airs that were larger than expected. I went with the Captain America graphic which has a cool fade effect on the tip and tail that doesn't show on the website. I would recommend this board design to anyone who is looking for a fun free ride that can actually lay down some turns on hard pack. Specs: 170 cm 24.3 waist 8.9 scr
  15. Bryan, The grooming has been improving. It seems like many runs are getting an extra pass on the sides making them a bit wider than normal. Unfortunately, we have many dry and fluffy powder days to deal with in the next few months. N.O.E.S?

  17. Riding up the chair with a new instructor today. I'm on my Donek Incline: "Do you have a regular snowboard?" "This is my regular snowboard" "Do you have a twin tip board?" "No" "Do you have a soft boot set up?" "No" "Weird." "Yes."

    goggles

Check out The Race Place or Reliable Racing, both have goggles for high speed. The problem that I've found is race goggles don't allow as much breathability, so you may fog more.
  20. You would be better off searching the "gear to loan" posts. Nobody rents hard gear...really.
  21. Airport prices are usually higher, you can usually get better rates by taking a shuttle to an off site rental agency. It is an added hassle though. I would not recommend Enterprise for this as they were established to deal with insurance claims so their prices might not be lower at other locations, whereas agencies like Budget and Avis were built to service vacationers. You might need to do some calling around.
