I made snow for a few years at a local resort. If there is large amounts of water bleed from snow piles then the snow guns were not properly adjusted to the weather conditions. You can make good snow in marginal temps just not much! When you try to make alot of snow in marginal temps the snow will be very wet and may bleed off water. If you want to keep it drier you can but it will not produce as much snow. Your local resort is just pushing its limits too far and they don't care if they make quality snow!

I am planing on Nubs on the 10th.

I haven't been to Caberfae in over 10 years so I really can't compare the 2 but I just got home from Crystal. They got 8 inches this week and the snow is in excellent condition for carving. Crystal has less vertical drop at 375 compared to 475 at Caberfae. Crystal has 3 wide open black diamonds and alot of blue cruisers. Crystal tickets are $25 for the rest of the season with no night skiing and closing on April 3.

My Sunday plans got screwed up so I went out Monday. The snow was great till about 11 then softened up quick. Buck had some serious dips in the groom and Loki had some random ridges. Still alot of fun though, got lots of comments from the senior skiers who wished I had a day job. I am going out Tuesday with hopes that the grooming improved. This coming Sunday is the Telefest at Crystal, I will be there till 1:30 unless I find a babysitter. There are 4 to 6 carvers at Crystal on most weekends. I will be there this and next Sunday. April 3 is their projected closing date. Nubs Nob is closing on April 10 which I hope to be there for.

I like the look of your new design, how does it ride? If you need any more test pilots I'd be happy to see what they are capable of. Thanks for showing up and defending your product, some people here are quick to pass judgement based on their own skewed opinions.

On my old td1s I just gave the spring on the bail another wind but I am not sure if that works for the td2.
