  1. The snow was perfect last sunday...lots of packed powder and no ice! My borthers are coming up this weekend and want to play on the hill so I'll likely be there either Saturday or Sunday. I might as well go today too since I'm not working.
  2. I'm loaded up and headed out the door for opening day. I'm almost layed off so I plan on doing most of my riding on weekday mornings to avoid the crowds. I also am a new father as of Dec 3 so I have no control of my actions anymore! Seeya on the slopes.
  3. here are a couple of the OP auctions http://cgi.ebay.com/SG-162-race-T-race-snowboard_W0QQitemZ190357217042QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSnowboarding?hash=item2c522c9f12 http://cgi.ebay.com/Coiler-182-race-snowboard_W0QQitemZ190357223949QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSnowboarding?hash=item2c522cba0d
  4. Crystal Mountain has a 5 for 50 deal on Friday the 18th. Is the Boyne deal on Friday the 18th or Saturay the 19th?
  5. I started winter of 92-93 on a Sims halfpipe wearing sorels with old skiboot liners. I bought a Libtech Inner-course and burton 3 straps before the season was out. I broke that board and bought a new burton with stepin plates and never looked back.
  6. +1 on the shoe goo I have used it on my gloves and it holds up pretty good!
  7. So it looks like the last weekend at nubs could be decent. Snow is in the forecast for Friday with overnight temps in the 20's. I have some friends getting a condo for the weekend, and my wife has to work all weekend, so it looks like I have nothing better to do. Lifts are open till 4:30 and tickets are $35. I am planning on being there Saturday and Sunday. Anyone else going to be there?
  8. Congrats on the conversion. Riding at Caberfae I wouldn't go much bigger than 13-14 scr, I (5'10", 185) ride at Crystal on a 160 with a 9.6 scr currently but would like something in the 170-177 range and 11-14 scr depending on construction. The new metal boards are alot more forgiving than the older fiberglass ones. Are there many hardbooters at Caberfae? If you come to Crystal I'll let you try a couple of my setups. Cleb
  9. The snow has been holding up well, but no alpine riders Friday or Saturday. I spent Sunday at Nubs Knob (got a free pass from some friends at crystal on Saturday) and saw 3 other alpine riders there. The weekend before had a few carvers on the hill at crystal.
  10. I went out for an hour this morning.....12"+ fresh everywhere. Not exactly a good carving day but lots of fun! Haven't tried your board . I will be there this weekend, I should be really nice with all that powder groomed in!
  11. I will be there Saturday morning at least maybe Sunday too. When first posted there were 2 of me. When I got there that day he was taking photos from the knoll on Buck....but left just before my decent.
  12. I saw 6 hardbooters on the hill today, and I met the guy you set up. He says he has a new found respect for us. I stayed out till 4 and got to ride a little with a couple other hardbooters. The crowds were hit and miss all day...I had 1 closed call with a straightliner. With any luck I'll make it back out next weekend.
  13. Crystal had hero snow and now crowds today...I got there at 9:15 and there were still runs without tracks! It was so nice I stayed till noon and might of hurt myself in the process. The weather is supposed to suck for carving this weekend but I might go out saturday morning if it aint raining!

    :(

Sorry to hear about your injury. I broke my ankle 2 years ago and I can still feel it. I wish I would of had them put some hardware in there to hold it together. Good luck and heal fast!
  15. I made it out Saturday morning at 9:30 and lasted till 12:30. I saw 2 others on carving gear, 1 local and 1 racer. :flamethroThe conditions faded faster than the weekend before as Buck and Loki were a little to bumpy to carve easily by noon. Yes Knoch, That was me you were riding with the weekend before.:p Sorry I didn't make it out there on Sunday ,my father in law passed early sunday morning....kinda ruined my day.:(
  16. I plan on being there both mornings and off the hill by noon.:D
  17. Thanks for the heads up.... They were happy to send me out a set of discs at no charge! Cleb
  18. I need a pair of 4 hole discs so I can get my wife on a carving board this winter. They will be going on burton race plates. Thanks
  19. I have a pair that self releases when I'm going down the hill......You can have them for parts if you want. My wife just went to crystal to give them a check for our passes:AR15firin
  20. Unlimited season pass: $249 if bought in groups of 4 or more. Offer ends Oct 1 I got another friend on board last night. Also they have a pick a day pass for $149 no Saturdays good for the day of week you pick.
  21. Got one of my old carving buddies on board. Just need 1 more to fill the quad!
  22. That deal expired months ago. I'm sure I'll find some takers, I just started to look. I might have to put an add on craigslist.
  23. I need to find 2 more people to fill the quad pass. Anyone?
  24. This is most of the snowboards I own.
