  1. Hey Pat, The only destination resorts in this years entertainment guide are Copper and Winter Park, there is lots of stuff for the basin, lovey, monarch and eldo. mario
  2. Google aspen classic pass, but flying the family out for the pictures would negate any savings you might have. mario
  3. That's what Keystone used to do, they would wait til lovey announced, then they would announce that they would open the same day @ 7:00 am under the lights. Lovey has started their lifts @ 8:30 am on weekends and holidays for as long as I can remember, I guess they considerd opening day a holiday of sorts:biggthump mario
  4. I know what I am doing sunday:eplus2: mario
  5.:lol::lol: What, you need an excuse?:p:D It makes tormentoring so much more fun when you forget about what time you have to get up to ride with us and play wayyy too hard!!:eplus2: mario
  6. Better chance of big snows in March, January tends to be drier, but better for carving, and you may have to deal with spring breakers in march. mario
  7. Ride it Charles, It is a fun board. It might have been part of Fins demo fleet. Glad to see the return of the pimp hat mario
  8. :( I'll have to pass this year, it would not be very prudent considering that the big bread winner is only employed part time. See you in 2010. mario
  9. In the process of adding to my zune: Thirteen songs by fugazi Murmer and Reckoning by REM Smash it up 1976-1987 by The Damned and a Cult anthology in the near future, more Rise Against, surf and ska mario
  10. City market, king soopers and safeway all sell discount lift tickets. I also have a gold c coupon book which sometimes has some discount tickets in it, if there are any Breck deals in it you are welcome to them. just checked the book, nothing for Breck. Sorry mario
  11. makes the board seem like reading zippy the pinhead mario
  12. is my all mountain board. It is a bit slow edge to edge, but it carves reallllly nice on softer chopped up days. I have had my 177 axxes in 10" of powder, and it did fine with my big butt. If you are under 200 lbs I would go with a 182 axxes for all mountain carving and pow, and if you are bigger I would go with the tanker mario
  13. http://skiloveland.com Gettin' closer...... mario
  14. I doubt I would be typing this had I not been wearing one last December. As more than a few on this board know, it is more often a matter of when, not if, you will go in to the trees. Experience has taught me that trees are much harder than snow.. Go ahead, laugh at me all you want jackass, I know that by wearing a helmet, I have greatly reduced my chance of becoming nothing more than a brainstem by wearing one, and my head will be nice and warm Live fast, Die stupid mario
  15. Glad to hear you are back to rehabbing and not fighting infections Dave. The days are getting shorter, and despite the blistering heat right now, snow is not far away. I hope to ride with you again this year, I really enjoy watching you flow down the hill. Sending best wishes and good vibes your way, mario
  16. See you a little before 8 Sunday am. Farmer said you dont have to feed us, he'll bring taco bell if we need him to. mario
  17. Hittin' Frasier on Sat with the lovely Phyllis, Sunday I am open, Farmer and Sean are interested, I will drop them a line and see what they think about riding out your back yard, I think we should shoot for really stupid early, it is going to be misirable hot on sunday. LOTB was disgustingly hot last night, though I did pull off a few trials moves that impressed the masses. I will bring a few frosties for post ride. Steve, glad to see you are gaining wisdom finally, and going to bed earlyish like the old guys you are hanging with. Mario
  18. I can vouch for this, I am in construction, and felt I could not get by without a pickup, in fact I felt that any car you couldn't carry a sheet or 20 of plywood was nonsensical, at least for me. After a 70 buck fillup last Augest, I said enough is enough, and went from an F-150 to a Honda Element. 21 to 25 mpg, not fantastic, but awd and with the seats up I can get most of my tool inventory in( which now is a laptop ,a notebook and a file box) when I am actually wearing my tools. My truck sat on a consigment lot for 5 months prior to which it was in internet classifieds, a truck trader, and craigslist. When I finally did sell it I got about half of bluebook for it, and was happy to do so.
  19. For any that are interested, 8:30 am waterton canyon trailhead. This is about the only trail on the front range with an actual warm up, a 6 mile dirtroad jaunt to the beginning of the colorado trail. The ride is not overly technical and is a good place to learn how to do switch backs, and the ride out of roxboro is very fun and has a few surprises to keep you on your toes. C-470 to wadsworth, wadsworth south til right before martin marietta, make a left and a left and you're there. three oh three two one oh nine seven four two mario
  20. A big rig with beer taps sticking out the side at a street fair in my neighborhood, almost made me do a homer, but service was quick. The only quaffable brew was a Widmer hefe. The looked at me like I was a freak when I asked for a lemon however. mario
  21. Not Vail, but Ajax in Aspen for the next weekend or so. mario
