I had been watching a few carvers at my local resort for a few seasons, and I thought " man that looks really cool, maybe I should give that a try" . At the end of last seaon, I went to ebay, and after several attempts, I was able to get outfitted for a couple hundred bucks. I have pretty much outgrown my begginer board and bindings, (Rossi 159, Burton plates) and am in the process of upgrading. What I have found to be the coolest thing about carving, are the carvers themselves. This site is amazing, no attitudes or pretentions, and plenty of great advice. A big thanks to all of you veterans, keep posting, and thanks to Pete, Derek, and Pat for all of the help with my carving.
See you in aspen at ses,
