  1. My wife and I have been living in a 35' Greyhound bus for 10 years now. I had to build a shed for the toys. GoldWing, ski/board gear etc... Besides getting used to the tiny (240 sq ft) winter is the biggest issue. Most trailers, coaches etc... are not built for winter use. I came up with a novel idea that keeps our water flowing. If there is a lot of windows the heating cost goes through the roof. This past Dec-Feb cost us around $1200 in just propane. If the power goes out that's a whole nother issue. Then you need a generator. One plus, with a motorhome, is if you want to go somewhere you have your house. There are a few things to consider... You need LOTS of storage space. Cabinets, "under" storage. size of tanks for "boondocking" I reccomend 150 fresh water, 100 grey, 50 black. We can do well for 6 to 8 days on fresh and grey, and three weeks on the black. There is so much to consider I could go on but this should help get you thinking.. Don

Finished @ Loveland today. Started out with Pete, Kevin, Arne and wife. I ran into the other Monoskier and ditched everyone. Sorry guys. We wave at each other all season but never ride together. Had a blast searching and finding good spring carveable snow. Out @ 11:30. Loved all the turns with the LCI this year, Glad to be a part of such a GREAT group of guys. See ya'll next season... A-Basin is the last game in town now... Don Feed the addiction...

    Yo Lci!!

Chris, Kevin and I were there yesterday, (Sunday). All I can say is WOW this is some wicked weather. Wind from Hell, visability was, well.... Non-exsistent up high. Went up 4 and 8, came down by braille. One second was sweet, the next was hang on crossing boiler plate wind scoured crap. It was getting better every run, but I kept falling and my ankle and my old rotten back said enough is enough. And yes I was the big whiner of the group... Don Feed the addiction...
  4. I don't look at it as a superstition. It's more like the" state of mind" you get in knowing "one more run" then you're done. Youi're tired, thinking about the ride home, thinking about that beer, etc... In other words, you're setting yourself up for making a "mental" mistake that could result in injury. 5. For me, the "last run" is called @ the bottom. It seems, all to often, the last run is the one that results in injury. When you call it, your mind gravitates towards a beer, the traffic home, or whatever the rest of the day has in store. Hards carving needs/demands, focus, dedication, not distraction. So, if I say "one more run..." my mind and body aren't focused on the run nearly as much as they should be. That's when mistakes are made. Don Feed the addiction...

It wasn't "all that". Actually it was real hard, even icy in places. Variable to say the least. None of us could get our groove on. It must have got better later though. 10" reported this morning but 9" of it came down during the day. Hard tellin' what the groomers can do with it... Don

    A-Basin

Better chance of good conditions in April. But you never know. Might be 60* might be 10* and stormy. A couple of times in the last 5 years there was freshies on closing day in June. Springtime in the Rockies... Here in Denver it was 72* yesterday, 40* and a little snow today. Don Feed the addiction...
  11. Hey Ace, Any bail bindings will work on ski boots. (not step-in's). Maybe a difference in boot center between Hard boots and ski boots is all. Don
  12. You need to find an "old school" shop, and someone competent to do it "by hand". Someone who knows how to tune not just run a machine. Someone with a "light touch" also. I've seen many a board ground into oblivion by a heavy handed tech. You may have to go over the hill to find that special shop. Ask a racer they generally know who's who. Don Feed the addiction...
  13. That's quite the wingspan... Ready for take-off. Uber Stylin' Chris. Don Feed the addiction...
  14. Ankle still sore, and yup did some serious back tweakage. Wasn't till I got in the car and got back to the motel that it really made itself known. Probable disc, (bulging/blown), issues again... Not the first time, not the last time. Chiropractor and time usually takes care of it. The real problem is... I'm just not ready to admit my age yet !!! Don Feed the addiction
  15. Hey Art, Glad I ran into you. I had a blast. It's going to take a lot of trips to the chiropractor to fix that stupid crash I had, though. I had a great time @ Monopalooza. PC was a good stop. Don Feed the addiction...

Missing you guys. I had the most awesome time @ White Pine yesterday. Untracked deep in the trees all day. Rode with Kelly for a little while. Hooked up with Art today at Park City. Toured me all over and bought me lunch. Bonus. I ran a Naster course twice. Beat the pace setter + scored silver twice. I like this racing stuff...

  18. If you have or have access to a FedX account. Contact "Great Rates" http://www.fedex.com/us/greatrates/index.html?cmp=DMC-1000857-2-4-108-1000000-US-US-EN-GRHVANITYURL000 I recently was quoted $252 USD to ship a board from Denver to Brisbane, Australia. Using "Great Rates" I got er done for $106 USD. Don
  19. Here in the states, (if you have a FedEx account), you can call "Great Rates" and get a one time, one day only rate. I recently shipped a Skwal from Colorado to Australia for $107 USD. At first I was quoted $252 USD. Don

  22. The Catek elastomers compress some after the initial mounting and as such need to be checked before riding until fully "seated in". I would buy screws a little longer to be sure of maximum engagement. I've always found his 4X4 pattern to be dead on. They are placed/drilled by CNC so I don't know what could have happened there. As far as the cross threaded insert, it came that way from the Mfgr. Just run a bottom tap in and it will clean-up just fine. I'm sorry that the Coda isn't working out for you. For most the Coda is a I love it/I hate it board. It is a different board than anything else on the market. As a result it is ridden different than "traditional" boards. A Coda rides best with a neutral stance, weight centered, on the board. Also the higher the edge angle the better it carves. The Coda doesn't ride casually very well. It is designed to be ridden aggressively. It seems the harder you ride it the better it performs. I have a Coda MonoSki that rocks. Yes there's some Mfg. imperfections but that doesn't affect the performance. I would suggest that you contact Chad with your concerns. He's a good guy and stands behind his products.
