Conditions were awesome. As in mid season awesome. Soft and NO ICE anywhere. Of course 10" new helped. Coverage is great. This weekend should be good. Hiway 2 across N.D. and Montana is absolutely nothing. Also It looks like you're not going to Rushmore, Yellowstone, Glacier... Good stuff. Hiway 2 is great across Washington. Also hiway 12 from Missoula over Lolo pass. The Columbia River Gorge is best seen from the Washington side, if you come south. i just got back from a 6 K ride in Oregon and California. On your way back Northern Cali hiways 36, 3, 299, 96, and 1 are great. Plan a route thru Tahoe, Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Seqoia national parks. The valley is hot and the coast doesn't often have good weather. Rubber side down... Don Feed the addiction...

Back when I was racing motorcycles, (90's), @ P.I.R. (Portland International Raceway), the sidecar guys would show up once or twice a season. During lunch break the racers could donate $5 and take several laps as the "Monkey". I chose a crazy guy from S.F. to ride with. I asked him to take a "spirited" lap and then if he was satisfied with my ability... Scare the hell outa' me. WOW, he started puttin' down full on "race speed" laps. WHAT A RUSH. We got in 3 or 4 laps and got blacked flagged for excessive speed. It was supposed to be demo rides only. When your entire body is hangin' out with your butt skippin' off of the track and still coming up on two wheels it was pretty scary. Not a sport for those with trust issues... Don

Great ridin' with ya'll today. It's just a beautiful thing looking at what carving does to the run. Oh yeah... I just HATE getting what I refer to as a respect lesson. It's amazing how fast and hard one can hit the deck. As is the LCI motto... "It's a Fine Line" Don Feed the addiction...

Woke up this morning to BEAUTIFUL Colorado sunshine. That pacific northwest rain was really bummin' me out. Due to severe back issues I can't ride hard... but I can still ride. See ya'll soon... Don Feed the COLORADO addiction...

Tom's the best... He is a true motorcyclist. His ZX 9 was a "ZLOCK" prepped motor. Yes it had great brakes, thank god because that bike was WOW fast. I'm not a stranger to fast bikes but I think his is the fastest I've ever rode. The suspension felt very stable and confidence inspiring. I set down the fastest times I've ever done and I was somewhat cautious because I'm ridding my buddies bike that I can't afford to crash/buy. The most fun I had was a highly modified '74 RD 350. RZ front end and swingarm modified to accept dual shocks. 220 lbs. and 78HP @ the wheel. Naked with no fairings. I ran consistent 21/22's. Pic from the last time on Tom's ZX 9

My last time @ PIR was June '04. Tom Young let me have the whole afternoon on his ZX 9. I was knockin' down 12's, and had a ball. I helped Tom with the "track store" for years and called in a favor.
