  1. I can't seem to find any schedule for the daily stuff about RTTC. Does anyone know when coaches meetings, lifts open, races start and all that stuff are taking place? Thanks, Ink

Hey there CO riders, If you didn't know, the 19th and 20th of November is the Race to the Cup event at Copper MTN and it should prove to be one of the best events in our parts. Along with the US National team are the Canadian National team and the Swiss National team have said that they will be in attendance. Did you ever want to see the Kessler, SG, Oxxess, and Black Pearl boards in action under the direction of the guys who they were designed for? I do. If you can make it I would highly recommend attending. Ink
  3. Ncermak, Make sure the lights aren't too bright otherwise you will end up with a "Deere in Headlights" on coarse causing a pile up. Go git em JD! Ink
  4. Welcome aboard cb, The attraction with loveland is that it is close to Denver, good snow, opens in October, short lift lines if any and the powder is good when we get it. Our plan is to get there early before traffic and get on hill at opening. We ride till we are spent, usually between 1 and 2pm, then head home before traffic. This leaves time for significant others or time for other stuff. Hope to see you out there, Ink
  5. Now not sure about tomorrow. If not tomorrow hopefully I will make it on Sunday. Ink
  6. I'll post on your thread instead of the other one. It looks like Concussed, KarverKai and I will be present on Saturday. Ink
  7. Who is in this weekend, D.T., Big Mario, BiggerWrangler, Biggest PC Denver, AC, LLR, Thor, Snowman? Not sure yet if I will be up or not yet, just curious is all. Ink
  8. I always called it "Freakstyle". Who else is going to do it but us freaks on hardboots? See my avatar - Hot blast 170, 18cm waist, snopros at about 65/62 and UPZ's in the mid to late 90's. Ink
  9. My guess is that Fin is at the SEMA show with his Forsa intake manifold. Ink
  10. This nose is almost an exact copy of my Hot Blast 159 from around 2000. Cool board though. Ink
  11. Very nice Dustin. Good to see you on BOL and hope to see you on the snow this season. Ink (Derek R.)
  12. No boots here, Steve, however I have a couple boards that he could try with TD1's. Let me know, Ink Good job getting another interested!
  13. JD, I'll get at least a day off to ride with you all and will see if I can gather some others too. I can't believe you got reamus and remy to come. I'll warn the gun of the impending mayhem that will ensue when you are in town. :) Ink Don't forget ta bring some bean town sticka packs
  14. My understanding is that both Larry and Bola stopped using Alpine for their tunes, I don't know the reason though. I believe that they both use Christys now. Ink
  15. I will be joining you guys on Saturday. Doubt that Concussed and KarverKai will be in but don't know for sure yet. I'll phone later.
  16. BigCanuck has a WTB post for a 158 Madd, you might contact him. Ink
  17. Not sure, but leaning towards sunday it sounds like. Concussed will also be in, not sure about KarverKai yet. Both Sat and Sun should be similar in weather. Ink add another to the crew, one of my old athletes will be joining us at lovey this season.
  18. AC Right now you don't have to do everything that you have been told. Pick one or two parts of what you feel to be your biggest hangup and focus on that for a while. Once you have that down add another piece to the equation (math speak for ya). Eventually you will have put all the parts into the equation that you end up with the correct answer...carved, controlled turns. Ankles+knees+hips+upperbody+arms+mind=carve Keep it up, the stuff I read from your post tell me that you are in fact "getting it". Ink
  19. Very cool AC. It sounds like you are learning quite a bit. I can't wait to see your improvement. Maybe this weekend. Ink
  20. My feet aren't that big but I ride with risers anyway. Palmer plates come in a max of 20mm rise. Ink
  21. If you are referring to renting out Sol Vista I think that should happen once a month. TVR let us know if we will still be able to do this. Concussed and I are in! and I am sure that we can get the carvers out to make it inexpensive enough for everyone. Keep us informed on this idea TVR. Welcome back! Ink
  22. Riding an alpine deck switch is called Backwards Ink
  23. Bigger, Don't yell at your heelside, they like to be delt with powerfully and with a smooth, fluid motion. Are you going to be at Lovey some this season? Protege's DT and Mario can work with tormentoring you more on this stuff as I play. Do come join us, we are out most weekends, usually both days. AC I am reading good stuff in your writing and it should be reflected back in what I see by the time I am on snow. A few weeks probably. You are doing the correct move pushing your feet through the turn. You know when people talk about airborn transitions, AKA porpoising, this is the moment of energy release that a board stores through the turn to release into the next turn. What happens is the rider isn't moving his/her weight forward fast enough to "harness" that energy into acceleration from one turn into the next and allows the board to come up off the snow during the transition from edge to edge. This isn't the rider jumping out of one turn into the next, it is a natural occuring phenomenon that is fun to do and also has its merits on the race course as well. The "pull yourself forward" part is the "harnessing" of the energy so that you don't highside into the next turn and eat it (prewarning you so that you are aware of what can and will happen if you are not aware of it). Ink I DON'T YELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
