    hey all!

Good crew of riders at Loveland. See the video from our carve session there in January. Thanks tpaulk for shooting it. We are up most Saturdays and Sundays since we work during the week. Ink
  2. WooHoo Graham! I used to race with him also and have been waiting to see him with a healthy season chargin' it. He keeps going too big and bustin' himself up. Ink
  3. Janet and I arrive Thursday evening and will also be riding Friday with DT and Shelly. Tom, can't wait to see and ride with you again. As for the Dupraz: I will be bringing a 5'5", a 6' D1 and a 6' D1+. THANKS BOLA for allowing me to bring these down for us to test out. See you all real soon. Powder, powder, powder, powder, powder, powder, powder! Oh yeah, and a little bit of firm cord if I have too. Ink
  4. Here is something for all you skaters out here. I ran into Chris Pappas at Bolas shop yesterday and he had me check out his brother Georges attempt at the 100 cone world record. Enjoy. Ink
  5. Sunday only if I make it up. My fingers are crossed. Ink
  6. Possibly AM on Sat and probably Sun. Ink
  7. You are correct, I wasn't anywhere near riding as work was too busy. Hope you had a great time TVR! Ink
  8. but was too whipped to try out the DT Custom. :)
  9. Former athlete of mine. Not sure of residential location. He operates under the radar. He now knows you ride AF every Sunday. I emailed him to contact you through BOL. Hope you have a sighting or make contact with another carver in NM. Did you ever hear from my friend Pat? I think he has only made it out once this season. See you soon. I can't wait for this trip! Ink
  10. Hey there T. and NJB, If there is a deal here you can save some shipping hassles if NJB will git his bum to Monarch next week. DT or I can deliver. Hi to LA and Miss Kate :) Ink
  11. We may have another rippa from NM coming for Sunday. NJB is going to let me know later this week. Rdy2carve, if you get a chance ride with NJB, do so, he has skills even if he doesn't ride very often anymore. Ink
  12. What bindings are you running the the Logical? and why not just move those to the new board if they fit your boots? Also modifying the heel and toe of your boots will probably weaken them considerably. I would not recommend doing this. I agree with Jack, get a new set of binding which will work correctly. Ink
  13. This sound correct. Earrier brast moda had a horizonto ramination but after Jun came to scene he brough wiss him the "origami" ramination to adjust the frex pattern. Through the foding action of tin rayers of wood he could actuary simurate the feeo of any board using grass, cf or meto. He is definatry a Masta at his art. He coud reary ride a snowboad too. :) Ink
  14. Per the Hot archives this is a 95-96 board. Ink
  15. +1 DT, Like mine it is an 01-02. Man up and ride that sucker, don't go TVW on me. It will take some time to get used to the length coming off the big boards. Quite whining bro. :) Not sure why they don't show the yellow ones, maybe for the factory riders only type of thing. Ink
  16. Bola is a busy man so I haven't been in touch with him much in a couple weeks, SES and moving stores, but I will see what I can do on that request. I don't recall seeing one in the demo fleet. Ink
  17. It should help a ton. Welcome to BOL. Ink
  18. I had Vince, the owner of the board room, grind the base for me and he did a good job. My base was in good shape except for a couple low spots and a couple nicks so it wasn't much work. When I handed it too him he actually asked why I wanted it ground which was nice instead of just taking my money. Another place you might try is Larson Ski and Sport. I haven't had anything done there yet but they have some newer equipement and have been in business for a long time. Ink
  19. I ride softies at 34f and 20r on either my 167 or 200. No problems carving on this set up with a 10.5 boot. Here is your problem. You should move the board beneath you at all times while in a turn. A static position will almost always skid out. Initiate the turn by rolling the board on edge and some pressure on the nose. By the apex of your turn you should have pushed the board forward so that your weight is centered and by the end of the turn your feet should be slightly ahead of your mass. Ink
  20. Welcome to BOL Ilya, You might try posting this question in the tahoe area on the ride board. People there will have a better idea who is around your area. Ink
  21. Phill Fell and Adam Cassanova named Alpine coaches. Way to go guys! Keep up the good work and lets see the US on the podium. Ink
  22. It looks like I will have at least one dupraz to bring along. Probably a 5'5 D1 and we will see if one or both of the others in Bola's demo fleet free up. More info on that later. Ink
  23. Good one Mario. TVR still hasn't a pair to get on the DT Custom yet? I am surprised, I thought that he would hop right on and try to prove that he was a man. Ink
  24. An old friend of mine keeps a cheat sheet of tips in his pocket to look over daily before ever getting on the hill. The first time he brought that out when Big Mario was a fledgling totally blew Mario away. Larry is a great guy and will get you hooked up. Ink
  25. Skalpel, There have been a bunch of threads recently addressing this type of problem. WilliamBlake has provide many indepth posts on this topic. Search for those and I am certain that you will have the info to get you through this problem. Yes, the info given here has been very good. Keep at it and your turns will come around ). Ink
