  1. Not sure if I will be out now, may need to work all day. Ink
  2. 2nd that! JohnC will breakout his HARDware if he is in town and an old athlete of mine is itching to ride his new Prior 183 after a loonngg hiatus. The numbers are increasing. Ink
  3. I will also bring either the HOT or Rossi for shorter radius witcha. Don't know if I will have time to mount up the HOT once I finally make it outa work. Long tiring day. Ink
  4. Especially if DT is around. On another note, if there is new snow remember to bring freeride gear. We carve our softies too. Ink
  5. Old, Should be a good crew on Sat. Not sure about Sun. There has been some talk of this on the Loveland Carving Session Post and the one from JustK. I will be out Sat only. Show up for a good carving session. No carpool for me, work after ride. Ink
  6. No carpool for me, I am going straight from Lovey to work. Uggghhhh. Ink Bluebird, See you on the 19th and have a good love connection!
  7. I will be at lovey on Sat without the wifey since she has to go to NYC again. Condtions should be real nice for carving. Hope to see you WP boys there also. Ink
  8. justK, Can't make it tonight but you should try to come to Loveland on the 19th for our carving session. Bola from All Boards Sports will have some equipment to demo along with the quivers of some other riders, and Big Mario will be on the grill cooking up some amazing BBQ. You will meet and get some great info from other CO riders who will have you inspired to ride like them. Keep and eye on the Loveland Carving Session post for more info. Ink
  9. Bola at All Boards Sports also has a well priced Nidecker 183GS that is metal and very tempting. You might check into it also. Ink
  10. Oldacura, Carving conditions at Lovey are good. Freeride is varied conditions with wind scour to pow. Make it a priority to be there on the 19th, Mario is on the grill again and the boards and bros will be good. Ink
  11. Heal up Mark! Good to hear that the surgery went well. Take it easy and get fully recovered before hitting the hill so that you don't blow out any of your insides. See you on the hill after your back on board. Ink
  12. Hey bro, If you want to come up you can stay at our place in Evergreen. It is about 45min from the hill. Oh yeah, you would actually have a BED to sleep in. PM me if you are interested. 2 things are certain at the demo, you will try new equipment and you will get some great tips on your riding. And another thing is you will be hanging with some very cool and inspiring people. Ink
  13. Kirtap, You are more than welcome to join us at Loveland on the weekends. The crew is usually around 4-8 strong and starts at chair 1 at 8:30. Take a look at the ride board for the upcoming mini session on the 19th of January featuring demos from TVR, All Boards Sports and others. Ink
  14. I love my 185 race with metal but have not had the opportunity to ride the cult or soul. They do look to be fun though. Ink
  15. I hope that your recovery is quick and complete. Ink
  16. I will be there to help out in any way that I can and to ride. Ink
  17. Darren, I will try to make it up. I wanted to go to Copper to see that RTC but was slammed at work. I hope all the training is going well for you and say hi to the rest of the team for me. I also saw that Brian is coming out for it. I haven't seen him since the old Copper days. I saw Justin, Erica, Cass, Phil, Kevan and David at Chucks (DFJ) funeral. Not a great time but good to see some old friends. Derek Runes (Ink)
  18. I run the Salomon Malamutes and love them. I have been out on firm and soft conditions this season and am very happy with them. Ink
  19. For me, I prefer softies in softer conditions and HBs in firm conditions. I have done the whole HB everywhere gig and spent more than 20 yrs riding HB but I still prefer the feel of softies in powder and in the air. Ink PS: no skidding even when in softies
  20. LLR, Next time you are there let us know. We had 3 sets of HBs and 3 sets of SBs out on Sunday. You are always welcome to join us. Ink
  21. As much as I love to see a really good carve, just seeing people with good form turning a board and not skidding out of control is nice. We saw a couple riders at Lovey this weekend who were making nice turns and I had to comment on it since we see so many people who don't know how to make their boards turn. Ink
  22. I do like to watch a good turn being made on a snowboard. Ink
  23. Newcarver and anyone else posting problems Go check out the video section and watch the japanese soft boot carving vid. Their body positioning and movements are what you all need to be doing so watch that aspect closely. Without the support of HBs they really need to have their body positioned correctly to carve as well and at the speeds that they are going. Watch it, get an image in your mind picturing you making that turn then go out and try it. Ink
  24. Stance sounds ok as long as you are over the edge with heel and toe. Use your EYEs more, look across the hill if that is where you want to go. I see many people forget about that aspect of the ride and look straight down the fall line gaining too much speed and scareing themselves. An 8.8m scr is not ideal for higher amounts of speed. Slow thing down a bit as DT stated, roll the board on edge and let it happen. Feel the carve, remember the feeling and what you did then try to replicate if more frequently. Do the same with the other edge. Ink
  25. Newcarver, Keep an eye here on the board, we are working on plans to go to Monarch since the Loveland pass comes with 3 days. Currently we are thinking about the 1st weekend of March before spring break. At present count we will probably take over the mtn with 7 riders and maybe more (hopefully). Think micro expression session. Ink
