  1. Now that I have seen the pictures, DON'T bend at the waist. DON'T reach for the snow. Angulation is your friend and will drive all the forces into the snow for more edge hold. Keep those feet moving. If in CO visit Loveland for a day with our crew. Check the ride board. Hope all this info that everyone is feeding you for the holidays helps. Now get out and try this stuff. 2. Well, at least I was able to help you, Big Mario, Shelly and others. Remember, those who can't do teach. Ink
  3. Is that the neon of Damion Sanders riding Copper?
  4. My attempt to help: Try to lower your COG (bend knees more). Make sure to set your edge well at the top of the turn, then you have a solid platform to stand on thru the middle and bottom of the turn where the g-forces are highest. Don't "park and ride" meaning keep your feet moving through the turn. You can push your feet forward thru the turn thus adding more pressure to the tail near the end of the turn. I know many are against it but for me and my riders, keep your knees apart and let them flex in the natural direction that your binding is set at. This keeps pressure on the tail and doesn't create any strange and sometimes painful angles in the knees. Ink
  5. will have demos going on Saturday. I for one am excited to try their product. Valid lift ticket, credit card and license are required along with signing a waiver. Ink
  6. Great, we will have to take both out for some tight radius' inside Big Marios 186 radius. Hmmmm, then test out Bluebirds Kessler. Could be fun. Ink
  7. I emailed Pat to see if it is OK for me to give out his email. I also asked him to check out the forum and more specifically the ride board. I will let you know what he comes back with. Ink
  8. RDY 2 We would love to have you join us if timing works out. Yes, D.T. knows TPalka and he will definately be informed of when we go there so that he can be in the mix also. There is a new to NM rider from CO who is Super Smooth for you to keep an eye out for. His name is Pat Macnamara, ageless, and cool. I don't know where he will be riding but you may run across him sometime. He primarily rides softies these days but sticks to the groomers mostly. Ink
  9. Not going to Monarch yet but with our Lovey passes we get 3 free days down there. We are currently figuring out when we (D.T., Shelly, Big Mario and any others) can go for a long weekend. It is looking like early March before spring break. We will post here and see if we can get some other folks out for some carving fun. Ink
  10. Good to hear you are going to be back on board this weekend. I will be out both days with Janet on Sunday. Definately try a different method of "tree hunting" this weekend. NYC was good but sad about missing out on the new fluff. Can't wait for this weekend! Ink
  11. I have the original BS prototype that BJ made for me that this board came from so i guess that one is my design. I rode mine a lot last year but have metal this season so not sure how much it will be ridden. Ink
  12. Bola at all boards sports has a very short Liberation. Liberation built a small run of these boards on the recommendation of Mort Nybergs Squaw Valley racers who were too small for any stock boards at the time. Maybe Bola will chime in with size and scr since I don't remember what it is. Ink
  13. Yep, you were in the mix on that fun day. I hope that your session goes well and we get to ride together another day. Ink
  14. At Loveland we have a regular crew showing up that consists of DT, Shelly, Big Mario, BPC, Jeff, Bob and myself with others like Bola, Oldacura, Thor, Bluebird, Snowman dropping in on occasion. This of course is when the conditions warrant HB setups. One early season day we had 11 riding HB for a day of fun runs. Ink
  15. Only if you can beat my 200, D.T.'s 192, Mario's 187 tankers there. (Mario is feeling a bit inadequate on soft days) Not to mention Bola on the Dupraz, Matt on the 182 Tanker, Jeff and Bob on the 182 Glissades and BPC on whatever he takes out. But there is room for all of us to play in the fluffy stuff. Ink

Phil, That's the infamous Billy Bordy roundin' the gates before turning to the kite. Ink
  17. Yep, same thing that I did. Still running TD1 standards and no problems in the past 13yrs. Ink
  18. There was less than 6 inches total clearance between D.T.'s arse and the trees so don't use that measurement for anything but fun. Ink
  19. No riding for me this weekend, NYC here I come. Have a great time, I wish that I could join you. They definately have more snow than Loveland or Summit County. Silverton should open this weekend, I heard they received 48" this past weekend but weren't able to open because of a tree falling on the lift cable. Doh! Ink
  20. Hey Biggerwrangler, keep an eye on the CO bulletin, we usually have a good crew at Loveland out on plates if firm and long boards (tankers) if soft. We are out most weekends, usually both days. This weekend will be an exception with me out of town and Big Mario out with injury. Welcome to BOL and hope to see you at Lovey sometime. Sorry for the thread jack DB, just wanted to let a newbie in on the Loveland scene. You are also welcome to join us any time, though I know you don't do weekends and have a Copper pass. Are you training with Copper or just doing your own thing for now? Remember to look as many gates ahead as you can. Ink
  21. JD, Did you supply a sticka kit wit this one? Parker, Track down Bordy and the boys over at Hardbooter.com for some great info about riding in Park City. Bordy is the coolest! Welcome to carving and BOL. Ink
  22. Bro, I am just glad that you are OK and will be joining us on the hill again. We were all very worried about you and torn when we couldn't locate you on the hill or on the phone. After losing DFJ earlier this year I don't want to lose another brother anytime soon. Pressure the nose a little more subtlely next time. See you after I get back from NYC. Ink
  23. We've had some good days at Loveland already and Thor Von Rippington said that A-Basin is about the only other mtn who has decent snow. This past Sunday we had 13 riding with 11 in hardboots. Good times indeed. Come join us if you can. We usually post in the CO section what is going on for the weekend since that is when we can ride. Ink
