  1. Welcome c4, Keep an eye on the ride board here on the forum to get info on what is happening. D.T., Big Mario, PCDenver and I, along with others, usually ride loveland on the weekends since we have passes there and work during the week. You are always welcome to ride with us and I am sure you will get more than an ear full of tips about improving your riding. The first one you get is to ride with people who are better than you are. You will see, hear and experience things that you won't get riding by yourself. And yes, check out Bola at All Boards Sports to see and demo a bunch of equipment. Hope to see you soon! Ink
  2. From seeing the pic and reading the above quote from JM I suggest "early outside initiation" which basically means to over exaggerate the outside move of head, shoulders, and upper body toward the outside edge before initiating the toeside carve. JohnDeere may remember this one from his days of training in CO. He used to reach for the snow and ec race courses and now he rides like he is driving a stolen fod. Ink
  3. psycho, Was that your bum or were you wearing 2 sets of padded shots under your baud pants in the vid? And where was the sticka kit on that coiler? You're disappointing me. Good riding brotha, you're still rippin' it up. Keep the feet moving forward on the toesides. Why wasn't I called to meet up with you on that trip? Ink
  4. I suggest bringing a carving board. WP has some good groomers and Mopoet178 can show you around. It will also allow you to possibly keep Mopoet in sight. He is strong and fast. Have a great time! Ink
  5. llr, it was nice to meet you too. You are welcome to ride with us whenever you come to Lovey. AC, I think I saw you from the lift. Sorry your friend hurt his knee and your feet were cramping. A couple suggestions on the cramping: 1) Don't eagle claw your toes - check your foot beds to see if your toes are leaving wear marks - usually means that you are curling your toes which can cause the cramping 2) Go to Larry's Boot Fitting in Boulder - the best bootfitter in CO Good luck and hope to see you both soon. Ink
  6. Fulltilt bought the molds for the original flexon and is also using the same plastics for building the new boots. The original is my all time favorite boot but I am happy with my heavy af700 with BTS for now. The Dalbellos are an attempted copy of the original and have heard they are not as good as the Flexons old or new. Ink
  7. Hey Big, I will see you on Sunday. Bring the Tanker as I-70 is closed so the snow should be deep. 8" this AM with more scheduled to arrive today/tonight/tomorrow. Tomorrow should be GREAT! Ink By the way, no SES for me, slammed at work and Janet going to NYC again.
  8. Sure, if you would like to ruin the entire boot. Ink
  9. Don't forget to attach the highback to the heel loop so that it doesn't just fold forward as you go toeside. If that happens you won't receive as much of the benefits you are looking for. Ink
  10. My malamutes are 05'-06' and the velcro strap is attached to the shell, not the liner so it would still be usable with the liner switch. Definately a good suggestion. I believe DaKine used to make an ankle strap to keep your heel in the pocket. You might look into it to ease your worries. Ink
  11. Wow Thor, It looks like it is time to throw down some of your moves if you want to keep any sort of credibility on this forum. DT seems to be "gettin' after it" on the DT Custom and you started this whole thread so I think you will need to put an end to it at SES. I'm just wishing that I could make it so that I could witness the awsome spectacle of the DT Custom in action under the feet of such incredible riders. VIDEO the session. I was not present when DT brought the custom out. Only a few days till the bell rings boys. Ink
  12. I already said that I would see what I can do. Geez. Anyway, I could probably get away with the + if I don't use my legs to push too much. But I'm not so sure that you could. Heh heh heh (insert emoticon here) Ink
  13. There is a pretty good chance that I will be out on sunday at Loveland as I won't be making it to SES. Ink
  14. I will talk to Bola and see what I can come up (down) with for you. Aloha, Ink
  15. As DT said, I ride the 200 tanker. I will however talk to Bola at All Boards Sports and see if I can bring a demo Dupraz with me. I am curious too and would like to try one. What is your weight and size? Bola will need to know if a D1+ or D1++ is needed but I don't know if he has any ++ in the demo fleet. Ink
  16. Besides carving boards we will all be bringing the BIG Tankers and Dupraz to play in all the soft stuff that the SW has been receiving. Should be fun and yes, newbies are welcome to get pointers. Ink I can't wait.
  17. For me, it doesn't matter who the company is, I will do the edges to my specs and wax for the conditions of my hills. I never trust the tune of the manufacturer as I can do a better job by hand than they do with their machines. Also manufacturers don't know what I like my bevels to be set at. Ink
  18. Bummer, that would be a bit difficult to pull off. Ink
  19. The Lovey crew will be sessioning Monarch that weekend. Mario, P, DT, Shelly, Concussed, and I go on the evening of the 28th and ride 29, 1, 2. Maybe you folks could ride there the 29th!?! if you are hitting different areas. Just sayin' is all. Ink
  20. I ride the Tanker 200 with Flow Eleven bindings and Salomon Malamutes and I love the set up. Tucker not as friendly in the powder as the tanker. I would check to see if Flow has fixed their hardware problems of last season on the NXT binding before making that purchase. A local shop here sold 16 pairs of NXT and all came back with broken screws which hold the ratchet straps to the baseplate. Flow was very slow in sending new hardware. I haven't ridding the Cateks but have heard nothing but good things about them...except the price of course. Good luck and have fun! Ink
  21. Oh swell, I may have to work this weekend. If I am there then I am there. If I am not there, well you know where I will be. Ink
  22. Most likely indeed. Who knows, Concussed may show up on plates even. That sighting has not happened in 5-6 seasons. I actually forget when I last saw that happen. Ink
  23. Is that what you call that? Hmmmmm. I ride the blue springs both heel and toe with a couple turns of preload. I am 175-180lbs and ride the same as DT I guess. Ink
