thought I'd share a picture of the new family member. She is 9 months old and had 2k miles when I bought her in Milwaukee. Flew out last Sunday to drive it home to Seattle and now is safely in the garage. What a wonderful job Chevrolet did on this 2013 60th anniversary model Grand Sport. 436 Hp and 6 speed manual tranny. Holly Crap is what you say when I step on the pedal in 2nd gear. :-)

Besides playing golf a lot -- tournaments on weekends ... going to be showing my 2 1/2 yr old granddaughter how to ride a bike. Plus keeping my Corvette clean with lots of shine.

Seems he is concerned about the general uptick of residential burglaries - some of them armed invasions in many cities -- and she currently lives and has lived in the past where residential break-ins were almost non- existent. So it is also not so much a gun in home issues, as it might be a difference of the level of crime awareness and him not wanting to be a victim. Might be a little of the “sticking her head in the sand like an Ostrich” so to speak.

Dont beleive it is a domestic violence reason. More accidental possibilies with her. Keep in mind on Rifle deaths in USA there were about 330 in 2010, with hammers that same year 1500.

good comments Lowrider.. my understanding it is not from a past relationship of hers where the fear is of guns.. it is she has never been around them in her life and it is purely a safety issue for her. What one does not understand - one fears is how I would put her fear.

good job Pat. dont have a ski handicap other than I dont ski - snowboard only. My golf handicap is 8.1 heading down to a 7 in a month or so. ( always does in the summer months - sometimes shooting my age in NET scores) I see in the latest golf magazine the average male golfer's handicap in USA is 14.3 - and only 20% of us are below a 9.0 ( total golfers in survey is 1.53 million guys) play well - down the middle.

Would like some opinions here. The Story, as I understand it from my friend, is this: My guy friend is a hunter and keeps his firearms carefully hidden and very safe in his house. You’d never know he was a hunter if you were having dinner in his house. He and his girlfriend have been together for about 9 months or so and very happy from what I saw. I think his girlfriend does not care if he hunts – least she has told me that awhile ago. Recently they started to have talks about living together. Dunno what all was said or discussed except for what he told me about her demand that his guns have to leave the house. Either sell them or give them to someone to store them for him, basically she will not live in a house where there is a gun. After a couple of days he decides the rule of hers is a bit too controlling and wonders what else of his would be next to go or restricted if they live together. So, he says no to her demand and they break up. First off, I do not know why it took so long for this to come up – not privy to all info here. My question is this, since I see both sides and like both of them.... is anyone right or wrong here or is it just a pairing not meant to be because of differences and each side is equally right in pursuing his or her desires. Whatchaallthink?

Riding the Gondola up Whistler - taking two snowboards up with me, both all Mountain type -- a Prior 4x4 174 and a Coiler 169 VSR AM, both with TD 3s. One of the guys in the cabin asks me "Why do you have two different Boot positions?"

Second trip to Whistler this month-- last time to cold to ride when it was -9° F. Today was great... a few rocks here and there but great to get my legs on the snow. Saw one Hardbooter on Emerald Chair area but never saw him again - wonder who he was.

Hard to believe I am 8 years older now than when I first replied to this thread. :-) and still riding. Turning 67 next month..damn how time flies.

Whistler -- Dec 5 - 8th. usually my first time on the snow each year is at Whistler.
