  1. That is true Neil, Bruce build great boards - I have a couple, -- but on the other hand one could have a Chris Prior FLC handcrafted in Whistler for the same price as a Coiler. :-) FLC is a west coast built board and a Coiler is an east coast built board...our snow is different out here.
  2. I might suggest this guy from the good ole Northwest Whistler Factory.. http://www.priorsnow.com/gear/boards/flc it probaly suits your one purpose desire - hence the name "Fall Line Carver" I have ridden it and it loves the Piste stuff.. CYA in Bend possibly this season..
  3. Too much $$$ at $3500 - plus my courses even on just a lite rain day -- those little tires would sink and I 'd constantly getting it unstuck... there is a reason why the power carts have wide tires. Played 100+ rounds so far this year... I think I'd be hard on the batteries..
  4. I started my summer with a golf trip to Ireland and Scotland. Lovely place to hit the little white ball. here are a few pictures.. I just got back a few days ago. Biggest sand trap I have ever seen.
  5. thought I'd share some photos of my little granddaughter hitting balls the first day.
  6. Sandman.. here is how an old experienced guy would do it. Buy the Prior 4X4 -- and take your savings and take your wife out to a nice dinner with the savings. THEN, in about 3-5 months you buy the Nirvana and which will piss her off but the reward for you is you get 2 boards, which you need , and you only piss her off once. My 2 cents.
  7. Does not seems to matter what you wear. I was hit this year at Whistler -- I was stopped off to the side half way down -- Blue run - very wide A guy hits me outa nowhere, he said Sorry -- I did not see you. I was all Black -- very Visable. Sun was out. a few years ago my GF was hit - she was stopped to adjust her boots -- off to the side -- a guy hits her at full speed cuz he was out of control and could not stop. She was mainly Black with various trim colors too. Seems best place to be if it is sunny out is in the middle.
  8. I asked her if she is going to be a hardbooter when she gets a little older.. she just lit up when I showed her my boards.
  9. Nope but how did you find this 8 year old post? I was 58 when I answered the first time and now I am almost knocking on the door of 70 yr old
  10. If you like motorcycles.. go see this movie at Netflix Fastest is the title http://movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/Fastest/70235813?trkid=496624
  11. how is the Camber of that board now??
  12. My question is what is his main objective here long term? He being the consummate planner, conniver and liar, everything he did in his life was for a purpose, so what is it now that he has to come out? Politics?
  13. I wonder what a burgler would say if he walked in on this guy?
  14. I wonder what else Clifford has listed on Craigs list or Ebay -- I bet this is not the only item he got from the Jesse guy.
  15. should not be a problem, -- go to Ebay -- I just looked and there were 36 items listed for a size 15
  16. What is so wierd is the Craigs list seller of the Prior Board is from the same town as Andy. town is less than 5000 people -- he might know him. Andy , your board is calling you
  17. could be a good response but the he was not young as in teenage. it was a family of three from good ole California - mom, dad and a 10-12 yr old daughter. Dad is the one who asked the "too old question", I told him I did not start boarding till I was 50. He then said -- "well, crap - maybe I should try it!:-)", I replied " yep, you might like it"
  18. My best one to date -- a couple weeks ago in Whistler. "Hey, aren't you a little too old to snowboard?"
  19. Anyone know of these? My neighbor bought one for his young kid to ride http://spoonerboards.com/ http://www.youtube.com/embed/U_9EUtaLF9A?autoplay=1&hd=1&KeepThis=true&TB_iframe=true&height=370&width=640?autoplay=1&hd=1
  20. ELECTRICAL THEORY BY JOSEPH LUCAS Positive ground depends on proper circuit functioning, which is the transmission of negetive ions by retention of visible spectral manifestation know as "smoke". Smoke is the thing that makes electrical circuits work. We know this to be true because every time one lets the smoke out of an electrical circuit, it stops working. This can be verified rpeatedly through empirical testing. For example, if one places a copper bar across the terminals of a battery, prodigious quantities of smoke are liberated and the battery shortly ceases to function. In addition, if one observes smoke escaping from an electrical component such as a Lucas voltage regulator, it will also be observed that the component no longer functions. The logic is elementary and inescapable! The function of the wiring harness is to conduct the smoke from one device to another. When the wiring springs a leak and lets all the smoke out of the system, nothing works afterward. Starter motors were considered unsuitable for British motorcycles for some time largely because they consumed large quantities of smoke, requiring very unsightly large wires. It has been reported that Lucas electrical components are possibly more prone to electrical leakage than their Bosch, Japanese or American counterparts. Experts point out that this is because Lucas is British, and all things British leak. British engines leak oil, British shock absorbers, hydraulic forks and disk brake systems leak fluid, British tires leak air and British Intelligence leaks national defense secrets. Therefore, it follows that British electrical systems must leak smoke. Once again, the logic is clear and inescapable. In conclusion, the basic concept of transmission of electrical energy in the form of smoke provides a logical explanation of the mysteries of electrical components especially British units manufactured by Joseph Lucas, Ltd. And remember: “A gentleman does not motor about after dark.” Joseph Lucas “The Prince of Darkness” 1842-1903 A few Lucas quips: The Lucas motto: “Get home before dark.” Lucas is the patent holder for the short circuit. Lucas - Inventor of the first intermittent wiper. Lucas - Inventor of the self-dimming headlamp. The three-position Lucas switch--DIM, FLICKER and OFF. The other three switch settings--SMOKE, SMOLDER and IGNITE. The Original Anti-Theft Device - Lucas Electrics. If Lucas made guns, wars would not start Back in the ‘70s, Lucas decided to diversify its product line and began manufacturing vacuum cleaners. It was the only product they offered which did not suck. Q: Why do the British drink warm beer? A: Because Lucas makes their refrigerators. This has been referred to as the smoke theory when the smoke comes out its finished, cooked or done for.
  21. I need to find these somewhere. a guy with whom I play golf with is a plumber.
  22. You are close.. Clinton did take a away a few rights... but it was Hillary who took the rights away and the person who lost the rights was Bill himself.. poses the question is Bill now a gelding? eating pumkin bread - freash outa the oven - it is only 300 feet of elvation here so it rose quite nicely.
